Fubuki Kouri   Ghost   Vantha Full Name: Fubuki Kouri Snowsong (Read: Fu-Boo-Ke Ko-Re Snow-Song) Race: Ghost (Formerly Vantha) Gender: Female Age: 12 years old (At time of death) Birthday: 4th of Winter, 500 A.V Birthplace: Avanthal, Taldera Theme Songs : Kouri's Theme #1: MOKA - Lilium Battle Theme #1: Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Executioner Battle Theme #2: Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Mirage Coordinator Battle Theme #3: Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Rose Crimson Appearance : Kouri is a ghost, that means she has no definite corporeal form, although she mostly chose to appear as she did before she died, albeit with some differences. Due to Kouri's mastery at Materialization, she now could switch from her usual ghost form to her human appearance and vice versa. She usually uses her human appearance to disguise herself and while being materialized, she's indistinguishable from a normal human to the naked eye. Various ways to blow her cover are to use Auristics, Spiritism, or sufficiently touch her body with enough physical force. In life, she is a 12 years old Vantha little girl standing at approximately 143 cm (4.6 feet) and weighing 39 kg (86 lbs). She has long dark hair and sapphire blue eyes that of course, like any other Vantha, changes with her mood. In her unlife, she has all of the above descriptions, except that her eyes and hair color had been inverted, making them appear silvery white and crimson red respectively, however her eye color are now permanently locked and does not change with her mood anymore, and her dress is also stained with blood splotches here and there. Her tears are now also red in color. Finally, she's now also obviously weightless, being a ghost. As usual with ghosts, she often appears with her Soulmist swirling around her and people near her can smell a faint smell of blood. Sometimes, she will also hum a beautiful yet sad and eerie tune that her mother used to sang her to sleep. Character Concept : A Vantha little girl from a musician family, she's all that remain from her family after they have been slaughtered by a wild tiger. Seeing her father and mother shred and torn before her very eyes (and experiencing one herself) by a tiger has made her a ghost that greatly despises anything that resembles a cat, especially large ones, as such, she may not be at best odds with a Cat Kelvic. Her experiences in the undead island of Sahova, horrors, betrayals, and torture had turned the ghost into a young girl with an innocent outlook and demeanor, yet an ethereal monster with little regard of life lurked just beneath the bubbly surface. Personality : A quiet, gentle, yet somewhat of an airhead girl, Kouri will sometimes do random things out of whim, driven by her confusion on her current state of unlife. Kouri loves being shown affection, especially by an older male/female figure who acts like a father/mother to her. The horrors of Sahova combined with the repeated cases of abandonment and betrayal molded the phantom girl. She is still very much a child who loves to play dolls and tea time, but beneath the child-like exterior lies a sadistic young girl so detached from life, cursed with powers beyond her control, and trapped in her state due to the Grand Oath she signed. Character History : Fubuki Kouri, the only daughter of Fubuki Taka Snowsong (Father) and Fubuki Sora Snowsong (Mother). Taka, being an eccentric person, didn't like the rigid surname policy of the Vanthas, so he only used them when dealing with official business, for any other, he referred his surname as Fubuki. After much discussion, Sora finally relented and went along with her eccentric husband's sense of naming, but she insisted that they kept their Snowsong surname, they sure were a strange couple. The Fubukis are a rather wealthy musician family, her father is a talented bellows organ player, while she and her mother are singers. Her father often took his family to various regions and settlements, to search for song inspirations, despite the dangers that loom in every corner, her father's rather carefree nature disregard those dangers. That attitude would soon spell doom for the Fubuki family as one day (6th of Spring, 512 A.V), when they were travelling in the wilderness of the Falyndar Tropical Jungle, as her father sits beside a small river while her mother was practicing singing, Kouri herself is playing near the river when she heard a terrifying beastly roar accompanied by her mother's horror-filled scream, when she looked to the direction of the scream, she found that a large black-striped orange cat with huge fangs and claws, tearing apart her mother's neck, with her father basically screaming to Kouri for her to run away from there as fast as possible. After confirming its first kill, the female tiger spotted its next target, that is Taka, Kouri's father, still screaming for his only daughter to run away from there, however Kouri was petrified by fear and shock and couldn't move her muscles. What happened next completely shattered what was left of the girl's psyche as she witnessed the tiger lunged and tore apart her father in a flurry of claw slashes... The last thing she can remember from her final living moments is the image of a monstrous beast lunging at her throat... and after that.. darkness, darkness, and more darkness... After what seemed like to be an eternity, she found herself to be in the very same location where the beast lunged at her, she looked at her own hands and found them to be flickering, semi-transparent, and with blurring edges... "Am I... dead?" are the first words that came out of her lips when she first woke up, when she looked around, she couldn't find her mother nor her father, only large stains of dried blood on the ground here and there, including below her own semi-transparent feet. Deciding to no longer ponder on that matter as she has something far more important in mind, "I... I have to find mama.. and papa...", she spoke those words as she started wandering... aimlessly, now unknowingly filled by an immense hatred for cats, especially the black-striped orange monstrous one. Soulmist Projection Soulmist Projection Main Weapons (8x Steel Daggers and 8x Cold Iron Daggers) Soulmist Projection Techniques (Current Level: Master)   Basic Techniques Picture Name Description Slash Her quickest and most simple technique. Kouri unleashes a flurry of slashes with her daggers. Chakram Kouri holds (up to) four of her daggers with a single tendril grab in a chakram-shaped bundle. She will spin it around and uses it for slashing foes. Quite easy to execute and harder to dodge, this is Kouri's main method of fighting when she holds more than one daggers at the same time. Expert/Master level: For each four additional daggers she holds, Kouri can form one more chakram. Arms of the Night Defensive technique. Kouri 'dove' to the ground (or any other solid surface) with her tendrils jutting out from the ground. In this way, she would be completely protected from attacks unless the attacker destroys the surface she's hiding in or through other means (Projection, Spiritism, etc). The drawback of using this technique is Kouri cannot rely on her sight to locate the target as her form is completely buried, but she usually circumvents it by poking out a small portion of her head just enough for her eyes to see. The upper-part of her head can be attacked obviously, but it's better than no protection at all. Blink Strike Kouri blinked to behind a target to confuse the target, when the target turned around to face her, she will launch her dagger to stab the target's back. Expert/Master Level: Kouri surrounds the target with more than one daggers then she will do blinking burst to confuse the target. No matter which direction the target face, a dagger(s) that's facing the enemy's back will launch to stab it. Phantom Daggers Ranged technique, Kouri throws her daggers in rapid succession, targeting the target's vital points. Competent Level: Requires storing the daggers in a location before picking them up and throwing them one by one. Expert/Master Level: Kouri is able to hold multiple daggers simultaneously and throw some at the same time eliminating the need for a storing location. Accuracy also improved dramatically.   Advanced Techniques Picture Name Description Great Chakram Expert/Master Level Only. Advanced technique, Kouri added additional daggers to her chakram formation, up to eight daggers are held by one tendril grab. Spinning and slashing foes with deadly accuracy and much more damaging than the normal chakram. For each eight additional daggers she holds, Kouri can form one more great chakram. Iron Feast Advanced technique, Kouri shot a tendril to coil around the target's neck and chokes the target, forcing the target to open its mouth to breath. As soon as the target does so, she will line up her daggers in front of the target's mouth and force-feed the target with them. Once the daggers are inside the target's body, she will thrashes them around, ravaging the target from the inside. Frost Reaper Advanced grappling technique. Kouri blinked to a target, materialized herself, and hugged the target tight. Using her frost touch to stun the target and rain down her daggers to the target's body while stunned, stabbing vital points to cause death as quickly as possible. With Master materialization level, The technique's fatality rate substantially increased as even Kouri's touch is deadly.   Master Techniques Picture Name Description Serrated Serpents This is how Kouri normally fights when she is not holding any weapons. Her tendrils took on a serrated form with serpentine heads at their ends, the ghost uses it to cut, lash, stab, and slice at her foes with great accuracy and power. Deathstar Ultimate technique. Kouri combines all of the daggers she wield into one whirling metallic ball of death (Requires at least 16 daggers). Due to her completely focusing on a single object instead of multiple chakrams, the Deathstar's movement and damage-potential are far higher than the greater chakram. One hit from it means multiple stab wounds and deep cuts by the daggers forming the star and Kouri can continue the assault by rolling the ball across the target's body, causing even more fatal stab wounds and slashes. The size, rapid spinning motion, and ball-shaped sharp surfaces made it even deadlier and harder to dodge than the Chakram and Great Chakram. Executioner Ultimate technique. Kouri literally smeared the target with her Soulmist to immobilizes the target completely. She then proceeded to do a no-bars hold slaughter on the target's body with all of her daggers. Stabbing the target's eyes, vital points, tearing down the target's jugular, and just about anything fatal that a blade can do. She will not stop until the target is truly and utterly dead. This technique consumes a lot of her Soulmist. Kouri reserves this technique as a last resort or for a very hated enemy. Rena was always fascinated by the tales of heroism and knights in shining armor so when Karl had a research project in Syliras, Rena begged her father to come along. Her new Nuit owner saw some magical potential within her so he opted for changing her into one of his kind instead to foster her talents. Her education didn't go far as when her master took a trip to Ravok, he suddenly said he didn't need her anymore and sold her to a slaver caravan, that's how she found herself among one of the slaves in the caravan talked about here. Kriemhild didn't care much about her state or the seemingly betrayal of her master, she was still a slave, just being handed from one hand to another. She accepted it all with apathy. Her fate took an interesting turn when the very slave caravan she's being carried with was suddenly ambushed by a band of random warriors when the caravan was passing near Syliras. She didn't care much whether she would be freed, killed, or just taken by another slaver... not until Kouri approached her and to her surprise, asked her to become her maid. An actual respected maid, not a slave. This little girl was also a ghost... Kriemhild was rather sensitive to the presence ethereal beings known as ghosts and always find herself comfortable talking to them. Contemplating that going with the ghost was the most interesting to do, rather than just sitting around or being treated as objects, Kriemhild accepted.
