Luradin was just arriving at the coast of Taldera at about mid-day, he was not overly tired but he decided it would be best to get some rest before he ventures further in-land. The water around this coastline was reasonably warm and clear coloured, it felt fresh against his skin as he swam through it.

Gracefully disembarking from the water, he effectively just crawled up onto the beach of this coastline - rolling onto his back on the short grass a metre or so away from the water. he laid there quite relaxed for a time, letting the rays of the sun soak into his mucous coated body, warming his cold blood from the outside in.

Though in a relaxed frame of mind, Luradin's mind was always alert - this was one of the reasons that he was so close to the water, where he could easily make an escape from any predator or danger, man or beast that could come for him.

The Jamoura shifted his shoulder back from the far, peering down at the collection of shrubs and grasses near his feet and using his large palms to scruff some dirt out of the way of a certain slate of of etched rock. "Mmmh'..It seems that shrubs near these lagoons have certain characteristics in comparison to those further in land, in fact they are completely different, how intriguing." Gruul took a large swing for the grass and heaved the large water shrub from the ground, bulb and all. He smiled as he looked at the dangling plant, placing it gently in to his leather back pack, where he continued to shift his body along, placing his large hands down first and following up his movement with curling his legs ahead of his hands, seeming to use mainly his hands to shift along, allowing him to get a better look at the ground.

Then a loud roar came from the Jamoura's mouth, yelling out loud enough for his family back in the far away spire to hear, the cry echoing out in to the distance. He slammed his hand up to his chest, clutching at it painfully and peering down to see a sharp stone pointing out of the earth directly where he placed his hand, he kicked angrilly at the stone and sent it flying off towards the beaches ahead, jittering and mumbling at the sudden shock, whilst counting to ten in his head and trying to calm himself.

Good thing gorillas don't eat fish.

Luradin was still lying peacefully when the huge beastly humanoid let out it's roar and although it's hard to tell since his eyes are completely stationary and he has no eyelids, he was surprised. So much so, in-fact that although he tried to spring to his feet - the suddenness of the roar caused him to spasm and attempt to do a combination of a back flip, cartwheel and some form of ballerina twirl whilst still being firmly fixed to the ground.

Luradin quickly collected his wit after a time, however, and remembered how to move - rolling to his front and springing to a stand. through a simple rotation of his head, he could easily pick out the large creature and seeing it's pure size and most likely strength, he dropped to a crouch. With fingertips stead fast against the ground, Luradin reached back and pulled a thin knife from the harness wrapped around his torso.

Had he been human his knuckles would have turned white as he clenched the handle of the knife - which, he thought, would only injure the beast enough to make it angrier at him. Luradin simply continued to press himself against the ground, his cartilage frame almost bending under the sheer force he was exerting in trying to make himself minute in sight of this humongous creature.

Luradin's eyes remained fixed to the large ape, his throwing dagger out of sight purposefully - in case it was smart enough to see it as a threat.

Gruul quickly calmed himself down, rolling his shoulders back once again, his bones grinding like boulders between boulders and his face lifting in to a jolly grin, chuckling at the fact he made such a silly mistake and allowed himself to get so angry at it. Gruul pressed on lurching foward rather fassed, despite his size he was able to move his body with his massive strength much fasster, his breath was heavy like he was constantly out of breath, but this was no doubt down to his giant lungs heaving air in and out of his body constantly, specifically due to the fact he was moving so fassed.

Gruul stopped near the water, using his kuncles to break himself from falling in to the lagoon, and cupped his hand under the cool fresh lagoon and scooping some water against the wound in his hand, cleaning off the dirt from it, so as it didn't get infected and then using another swoop of water to refresh himself in the warm spring sunlight.

With a large grunt, Gruul shifted from his hunched height of 5ft3 in to a collosal 8ft3 standing on two feet and stretching out his tree trunk like arms as if yawning. He bares his yellow fangs and clicks his neck from side to side, the bone necklace and teeth on his shamnistic headress rattling as he moved, a sudden serenity falling over the ape. Out of pure boredome Gruul decided to beat his hands off his chest, continuing to bare his teeth, perhaps grinning or possibly to the little spy in the brush, a act of threat towards the amphibious creature.

Luradin was almost happy to see the ape grin, almost. Although the ape apparently didn't see him as he walked over to clean the wound, it was making an impressive display of how fearsome it actually was, right next to him as well. Noting the fact that the beast did not in fact see him, Luradin attempted to keep cool about the whole situation.

nodding his head and letting out a steady breath, he managed to finally collect his nerves. He thought it over, the beast was obviously not stupid else it wouldn't have cleaned the wound for one.

Out of a measure of pure wariness he sprang from his position towards the water, sheathing his dagger as he flew through the air rather gracefully. He adeptly parted the water with a straight body and barely made a noise as he slipped into it - moving fast enough to be a blur to anyone not very observant.

Hoping to have spiked the large creature's curiosity, Luradin swam deeper slightly into the water in an attempt to blend in. Watching the creature closely, he aligned himself with it so that he was facing it and it facing him. This was partly to see it better, partly to make sure he didn't track his movements from his entering the water he reasoned with himself.

Luradin was treading water with motion so slow that the surface of the water was almost smooth to his presence, almost as if an ally in hiding him from this massive ape creature. Now that he was completely in his own element (and safe in his eyes) Luradin allowed his curiosity to take control over his sense and stayed there in the water, marveling at it's size and just it's general being quite openly.

Gruul stopped with his display upon seeing the flash of lustrous dark blue dive from the brush and in to the soft waters. He stood there dumbfounded for a number of seconds, before lowering his left brow and raising his right arm. His mouth curled downwards a curious look upon his visage. The Gorilla opened his mouth gently and said in his booming yet slow voice and said as quietly as his loud voice box would allow him, "What in the name of the Spire was that?"

Gruul picked up a small pebble to the left of him curling his giant palm around its smoothe rounded stone body and hoisting it up to his eye, so as he could inspect it, after doing so he threw the stone up in to the air, only gently, and caught it taking the time to pull his arm back and ready himself to catapult the stone to his desired destination. Holding the stone ready in hand, trickles of sand rolling down his arm he nodded picking his target with a grunt and throwing the stone on a onslaught towards where he saw the creature dive, not so as to hurt it, but more to see if the impact of the stone would make the creature move so as he could spot it within the depths, still oblivious as to what this creatures intent was.

Luradin was still inspecting the Gorilla as he inspected the area he dove into, followed his motions as he picked up the pebble and inspected it Definitely not un-intelligent he mused as he watched the creature. When the humanoid threw the pebble, his mind was stirred into thought about it's intention but after inspecting the pure muscle mass that the thing was made out of - he concluded it was not to injure him, if it had been anywhere near him in the first place that is.

as his curiosity was quite ample to do, Luradin was not wary of this creature anymore, simply wanting to discover more about it he rose to the surface.

Moving relatively slowly from his watery realm was his approach to not startling it, though it didn't seem to be startled by his hurried movements into the water earlier he thought it a safe approach to do so.

treading water easily with the large flaps of skin between his feet, his upper body was almost entirely stationary as he did this - a sign he was experienced in this kind of movement. As he rose up in front of the creature he spoke out loud in common tongue "Hello, erm - my name is Luradin". Thought the voice he used was both awkward and uncertain, his usual sharp, cheery and young voice was evident in his words

Gruul turned around, slamming his fists off the ground and causing a loud thud to be heard consequtivly to each other, himself tilting his head to one side so as to look to this strange creature. When the creature spoke, he stopped for a moment, a awkward silence emiting as he rubbed his white withered and all the more whispy beard, before speaking in his amazingly slow voice "My...Name....Is..Groooooooooooooooooool" He spoke, a some what dominance in his voice, but all along sounding like some kind of senile old man. "It's a pleasure...To meet you fish maaaan." He smiled to his new found friend, deciding to reach his giant palm up which was about three times the size of the little amphibions head in some sort of acknowledgement of meeting.

Watching the creature turn to him was both an uneasy and equally interesting moment in this scenario for Luradin, an awkward smile was on his face as his quick little mind waiting for the Jamoura to finish his movements.

The fists slamming against the ground causes Luradin to flinch backwards but he managed to hide this motion quite well, keeping eye contacts with the great (but apparently slow) beast.

Listening to the Jamoura speak was a strange experience as it was both appealing to Luradin's curiosity and boring to hear, the two balanced each other off to a reasonable level of acceptance in his mind however. Smiling in return to the massive gorilla being - Luradin came to the conclusion that this was the beginning of a very strange friendship between them and spent the next few bells conversing with him and trying to figure out things about him, also sharing things about himself.
