Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

Shadow River was quite thrilled by the Kistukai's formal introduction and apology. It made her feel a little but special in away. Like she's a rich lady and Kistukai is sweet gentleman. Shadow was about to let the stranger walk away but, she didn't feel like transforming now. She wished to know the stranger more. It could greatly benefit her to know a knight. The feline reach out to him, "Wait Kistu- Kisa..Kaah.. Kistuke, Kisssss...Yams, Yama..." Shadow growls at herself. I don't like his name, it's too hard to say.
"Kitten knight!" Shadow finally blurted after her hard efforts to pronouce his real name. Kitten Knight probably isn't the most respectful nickname but, in her opinion it's the most adorable. Shadow grins, proud of herself for thinking of such a name. "So sir, you don't mind if I walk with you? We're basically heading in the same direction anyway. Plus you are very interesting. Much more interesting then the other snobbish knights."
Shadow looks at the man eyes, giving a sheepish smile. Calling the knights snobbish is probably not the best way to show respect. "I mean, honorable knights?"

Kitten knight? Did she seriously say that?! K had stopped a bit but then continued walking chuckling a bit. The girl had called him kitten knight, but she seemed to be the kitten herself. Not really pesky, but more of a following in a sweet manner. "So sir...Can I follow you?" is what K heard although she didn't really say that. He looked as the girl slowly walked near him. "Since we are going in the same direction." is what he heard although she didn't really say that either. He smiled at her a bit, not wanting to look at her eyes though, for he was always weak to the eyes.
And her's were big. He had turned and looked deep into her eyes...So deep he almost flew into a trance. "By the gods...This woman." K silently said to Kise. "This girl..." K turned as he finally snapped out of her beautiful gaze and began to walk off. Placing another piece of candy in his mouth he muttered a bit to address the girl. "Yeah..You can come I guess." K tried to act as if he didn't care but he was also interested in the girl. "But I want you to tell me about you...Tell me everything." K had always been somewhat of an information freak. For he loved fighting but he loved to gather info.
The reason because was he never did the studying, Kise did. He would get people or females...To tell him the info he wanted and Kise would remember it. When the time came to use the info, say a woman's birthday, Kise would tell K and he would show up with flowers. This was all K's agenda, and he loved it. "So...Talk away." he said as he walked slowly so the girl wouldn't tire out. "And stay close to me."

He wanted to know everything. The kitten knight wanted to know everything. And he wanted her to stay close, which she did. But the feline made sure they weren't touching. Shadow never likes talking about herself because she lived for only three years. There are some subjects she can talk about, but it would be impossible for her kitten knight to understand. The feline looks down to the ground. She could always lie but, I'm not a lier. I refused to be ashamed.
"I don't usually like telling people what I am. They tend treat me weirdly. They look at me either as a joke, a pet, or something to be captured and admire. Yet, I can't hide what I am. I'm a kelvic, and I'm proud of that. Even if my parents are not. More specially I'm a black leopard. That is why I call myself Shadow River. River being the family's name of course.
Often you will find me here, lurking in the shadows of the city, the Rearing Stallion, or at home bothering my perturbing brother. My age tends to shock people, so I don't like giving it. It makes them uncomfortable.
Hmm... what else. Oh I never had a lover, never had a good friends, I'm from Ravok, and I hate my family. Then again my family hates me. So it doesn't really matter.
Oh and if your wondering when's my birthday. Sorry, my friend. I don't know it. I know it's in spring but, my family can't remember my birthday. So we never celebrated it. Of course, celebrating me however would mean I'm real. And my parents unfortunately had a kelvic daughter." Shadow's tone was very bitter when it came to her family. That happens when your family hates you for being just you.

A kelvic? A kelvic...."Kise." K said subconsciously. "K...Now don't flip out or be mean to her. A kelvic is a cross between human and animal. They are neither humans nor animals but a perfect cross. Please K...Treat her like a human because, kinda she is one." K's pride and rage began to swell up a bit. "No Kise..You know I gotta say something." He turned to Shadow with a quick turn. "I am so sorry for your life...Your don't deserve to be treated that way." Kise said. "Wait what?!" K said as he slowly noticed that Kise had took control of the body at the most inconvenient time.
"Your not some animal...I don't see why your family would treat you like that." Kise said with sadness in his voice. For he, unlike K, thought that everyone was equal and deserved equality and kindness as the next. "And yeah I have not had a lover either..." he said with a chuckle trying to lighten the mood. "I guess we have something in common." Kise's voice was definetly more softer and kind than K as he looked at the girl's face and not her body. Unlike his counterpart, he had no intention of anything sexual, he only wanted friendship. "I am so sorry I asked you...You don't have to say anything else about your past." He turned around quickly and wiped his face for tears, or to stop any that were forming. As he continued to walk he knew K didn't approve of his kindness to the young kelvic girl but he didn't care, it was who he was. He continued to walk hoping K didn't anger her to much with that question, after all it seemed very personal.
"I'm sorry..." He muttered without looking at her.

Shadow for moment swear that Kitten Knight was going to say something rude. Looking at his face, she narrowed her eyes. Watching his expressions slowly change. I dare you to say something Shadow in the past rarely received kind words. So she is shocked when the man was very understanding. The feline couldn't but smile at Kisetukai.
"Thank you sir, that's very sweet of you to say. I was sort of expecting some rude comment or disgust. Or maybe you hounding me with uncomfortable questions." By uncomfortable questions, she was speaking of her bondmate. Who is non-existent at the moment, thank the gods. " I wished some of my family members were as accepting. Then my maybe I would be on trip, see my sister marriage ceremony. But enough about me. I want to know about you."
Shadow look at the sky and trees waiting for his answer. Her trained ears notices something prowling deep in the forest. The predator wasn't hunting them rather watching. Shadow is use to that though. The other big cats seem to sense Shadow is part them. So they get curious (mostly the young ones) The Kelvic refused to look at the mountain lion, knowing eye contact may start a fight. She just hopes Kisetukai doesn't go crazy about.

Here he was, listening to this young girl speak her mind...And heart. He decided to listen intently as she enjoyed his kind words and gave thanks. She then decided to talk about her as he asked, telling some of the sadness that she had went through. He could tell she had been hurt, like most of the girls he had met, except her's was a more..In the family type of thing. He was completely devastated at the fact that this girl couldn't be loved by her family. She was sweet, and it looked like she would have lots of friends. But she didn't. Not in his eyes at least.
She then concluded sadly and asked about him. She wanted him to tell her about himself. "Well unlike your family...Mine, is gone." He looked at the ground a bit as he became slightly depressed. "Yeah...My mother was a knight and my dad was a simple common man. He was a really good chef and quite a catch...Perhaps that's how they fell in love." "Yeah...He was also a chump."' K muttered in Kise's mind. As Kise walked he noticed the girl perk up as if she noticed something.
"Hey...What's wrong?" Kise said softly. "You ok?" He wanted to make sure she was ok. After all he was a nice guy and he just wanted her to be safe. "Shadow..." He mumbled. "Tell me...Are you scared of something?" Kise hated fighting but was sure he would protect this girl in a heartbeat. Perhaps he was it was because he thought she was cute. Or perhaps it was because... She was his friend.

Shadow heart dropped when her kitten knight told how he no longer had a family. Shadow didn't know how to comfort him through words. But before she could do anything. Kisetukai quickly changed the subject to her. She guess she was acting stiffly. "Tell me...Are you scared of something?" Shadow River's only response was a harsh grunt.
The feline looks over at the mountain lion who was slowly coming to close for her comfort. She look over, using her keen eyesight to see the figure of the cat. Who was more of a cub. Maybe another half season or so it will be adult. Meaning it's not that big. Still Shadow is not caring mood for cubs. So the feline sends a warning growl, telling it they weren't friends and to go away. It backs away a bit.
Shadow puts her focus back on her friend. "Don't worry Kitten Knight, it just a curious cub. I don't smell it's mother near by though. So I'm fine." Shadow steps in front of Kisetukai. "I'm going to do something to you. I will not hurt, in fact I may make you feel better. It may seem strange but, it always to work for me. Okay?" Shadow reach up and lightly grabs her kitten knight's face. She pulls his face down to hers. Then laid her cheek on his. Then she rubbed her cheek on his, purring.
The purring was a lovely loud sound. Shadow suddenly had to urge to lick him but, knew that would be too weird. So when she lets go, she puts her hand behind her back and gave Kitten Knight a big smile. "For us cats, that means: hello there. I see you and care for you. Please take my comfort. I didn't know how else to comfort you. I can tell you care deeply for your family. I'm sorry if that was too uncomfortable for you."

Are you scared of something?" Shadow River's only response was a harsh grunt.
Kise was a bit confused as the girl seemed preoccupied. "What the..." He mumbled. He was worried for the girl, as he noticed her distress. "Hey maybe I can-" He was silenced as the girl let out a growl to whatever was lurking out there. Kise raised an eyebrow in pure confusion. As he turned she advised him about how it was a young cub. Some cat he guessed, he wasn't to worried as she said that she didn't sense the mother to be near. He didn't know much about kelvics except what he heard at school, but besides that...He decided that as long as he had Shadow, he was safe perhaps.
Before the boy could truly even blink the girl appeared in front of him. Kise jumped almost, quickly trying to hide his shock. "Oh..." He said softly. The girl apparently had something to show him, although she said she was unsure it would work, she tried it. Lowering his face to her's, she rubbed her cheek against his, creating such warmth Kise almost died from the feeling. Such...A sensation he had never felt before. He felt like he could do this forever, and was devastated once she removed her face telling him what it meant. He rubbed his cheek, feeling her wath still there.
As he thought about the situation he wondered should he have kissed her. The thought wasn't that impure, but him being so innocent, was quickly hurt by it. Falling onto the floor almost passing out, his nose began to softly leak from such a thought. This girl was beautiful, and he had never been truly close to one, in this situation. Well there was Fallon...But she wasn't like this. He sat down against a tree, and began to shake his head, in a brute force of stopping the bleeding. "Woah Kise, I didn't know you were such a dog." K said teasingly. "Shut up! Shut up K!" Kise said aloud hoping Shadow didn't hear. Hopefully he could stop the bleeding before she saw. Hopefully it wouldn't stain his beautiful soft silk scarf. All of his clothes were black so he wasn't too scared, it was really just Shadow. He didn't want her to see him so weak. Hopefully she wouldn't. But then again...

Shadow could tell by his face that he liked it. Which defiantly boosted her ego a few notches. She never done such a thing to someone else but, being in the forest she noticed that what the other cats do that. And in Syliras the small cats do the same thing. Shadow turned around for a moment thinking. The Sukina Geysers should be over the way. She thought looking north-east. Shadow never been to them but, overheard of them. Maybe we could walk there. I think his feet are tired though. Shadow looked over at him.
He was sitting under a tree holding his nose, mumbling things to himself. Shadow faces her knightly friend completely, cocking her head to the side. She stepped toward him, bending down to his level. "Um, Kitten Knight? Is something wrong? Why are you holding your nose? My smell didn't offend you, did it?"
Shadow's family often teased her that she was a smelly animal. Her brother often pretends to pass out by Shadow's smell. Or he would forcibly push her out of the apartment. Telling her to take that notorious smell out of here. Even though Shadow thinks Syliras is the stinkiest place on Mizahar. So no one has the right to talk.

Leak...Leak...Kise had shook his head hoping to stop the bleeding, after a couple shakes he was successful. Seeing shadow bend to his level, he instantly blushed a bit, face getting even warmer. She was asking him...Did she smell? "Ah no..." Kise got up and smeared the little blood on his fingers on a nearby tree. Stretching his sore arms out he began to do windmills, after chuckling a bit. "My dear you smell lovely...It's just that I'm a little young and not used to girls." He slowly began to walk again, the cool winds relieving him.
He began to chuckle some more at the thought of her saying that, after all she was a girl...If anything she smelt like flowers to him. He walked forward, pretty sure she would follow. "Shadow...How old are you?" He knew she didn't want to tell but he had to know. "How old are you exactly? I'm seventeen...But your a kelvic so I don't know how old you are." He sighed a bit. "Or even what you are." "Kelvics transform to animals right?"
"The. What are you?" As he began to pass more woods and listen to the girls response he began to question their destination. "Shadow...Uh where do you wanna go? I mean like where do you plan on taking me? Or yourself..." He was confused and quite flustered from her being so close to him. After all Kise had NO experience with girls what so ever. He blushed at the thought of Shadow's true age and shivered at it at the same time. For she could be incredibly old or incredibly young...Although she looked as if she was just a kid? Perhaps maybe around Kise's age on the early side. He ran his fingers through the air in a fanning motion. "Gods...I hope we make it there soon."
