Far below the water's surface is the living coralline city of the Charodae, Charbosi. Inaccessible to those who cannot breathe underwater, Charbosi is a city of culture and peace. [Lore]

Luradin's head was just below the surface of the clear waves looking out at the shore as he had quite often done recently. He'd snuck away here straight after school and after the first time telling his parents about the amazing surface dwellers the first time he thought it best not to tell them about where he had been going.
He'd learned to move his feet very slowly under the water so that he barely bobbed up and down at all, he was practically stationary in the waters as his ankles worked effortlessly to keep him afloat in it.
His constantly opened eyes were fixated almost obsessively on the people that came by on the shore and in the event of something amazing happening like a battle between two of the people from the surface his heart would race with excitement and he had to sometimes focus just to hold his body still and his feet working at a constant pace.
This one time he was at the surface like usual, eyes fixed to the surface when he noticed a lone boy of about teen years like himself. He watched the boy train for about 20 chimes and then as he left Luradin felt compelled to find out where he was going.
He thought to himself about whether it was a good idea to follow the boy but eventually curiosity prevailed over wit and cautiousness, with a grace almost level to the very water he swam in's movement he approached a more concealed part of the shore and lifted himself from it with only a slight trickling noise as the water rolled off his smooth blue skin. |

Luradin could see the boy through a very slight parting of the grass and he was filled with respect as the boy heard the very slight noise of him moving from the water.
The boy turned around to the brush that Luradin resided in and scanned it thoroughly, probably the only reason he did not see Luradin was that he matched the water behind him almost perfectly. Even his eyes.
As the boy turned and slowly began to walk off towards his presumed home Luradin followed round on the coast, not stepping into the brush for fear of the rustling noise alerting him.
Luradin stepped lightly against the soft earth he walked on, he moved in a full crouched position which he admitted was quite awkward to maintain whilst moving. The young boy started to pass through a area with trees closer together and Luradin still followed at about a distance of 8 meters away. |

As the Myrian boy (which is what Luradin assumed he was) passed over a relatively flat piece of land, Luradin thought desperately of how he could still follow the boy without being seen.
Luradin was growing more restless as time went on and the boy grew further out of sight. He even contemplated simply talking to the child before he returned but he decided it was probably best not to, stories of his kind and the Myrians convinced him that such an encounter would not end with kind words or maybe even with words at all.
Luradin's thought finally fell to the surroundings of him and the boy and noticed the trees, he placed his hands to the branch above him and lifted himself up. His weight was heavy on his arms as he lifted himself up and it was even more tiring because of the fact he had to remain almost completely silent as he did so.
Now stood on the branch Luradin sprang as carefully as he could forward and landed on another tree branch, he made a scuffing noise against the bark and cursed silently under his breath. He would have to be even quieter if he was to follow the boy with the hearing sharp enough to hear just a trickling of water from about 10 meters away.
Luradin attempted the spring again, moving towards one of the further away branches in another tree that was next to the one he was in. As he soared through the air he tucked his arms in and as he landed his exaggeratedly curled his knees in to relieve the pressure of his fall on the branch, to his delight this worked and he repeated it once, twice more to make sure it wasn't just a fluke.
Now equipped with the means of silently pursuing the boy, he did just that and hopped after him through the tree tops he was currently in.
After a several trees later he could once again see the boy, crouching on a branch only a several meters from the young boy he crept over to a branch full of leaves and held his body down so that everything but his eyes were concealed by it.
The boy had stopped to look at some of the plant-life growing at the base of the tree and Luradin could see after a few moments of observing him that the boy was in-fact studying an insect on the plant not just the plant itself. |

Luradin was still staring at the boy when he finally stood up, He flinched because of how suddenly the Myrian did and caused the branch he was on to rustle.
Luradin ducked his head down instantly as he did this, knowing that the Myrian boy would have heard and was probably staring at the few leaves he was hiding behind right now.
His heart-beat pulsed through his ears and Luradin found himself breathing quickly, though still shallowly as to avoid making noise just by inhaling. Gulping down his fears Luradin listened intently and through doing so he hear scuffs against the ground moving away - the boy had moved away.
Peering over the top of his leafy cover, Luradin could see the Myrian walking away from him and from the tree-filled environment altogether. When he had walked a suitable distance away from Luradin he jumped down to the floor. Making a light scuffle as he landed in a crouch, Luradin moved his body steadily to the very edge of the tree-filled environment and peered over a brush to see the boy walking away still.
Luradin looked about the environment the boy walked, there were trees but they were few and far between and the brush was incredibly light. Luradin stood up and leaned against the trunk of a tree, thinking intently at how he could make it across the environment to continue following the boy he had taken such an interest in. As no thought came Luradin was severely frustrated because he had already come quite a distance from the shoreline he had risen from.
Luradin's disappointment was dismissed prematurely as he finally noticed the Myrian boy had been staring at him for the past twenty or so ticks and Luradin felt adrenaline and surprise rush through him. Reaching for his sword instantly flew Luradin's mind away from the subject of following the boy and filled it with escape - he ran towards the coastline to his right and could see the boy running towards him at his left.
Luradin's legs were aching from his jumping through the trees but he managed to push his body through the pain, keeping up a steady run he then leaped from the shore and dove into the water cleanly, a sword spinning into the trunk of a nearby tree just a moment after he moved into the air.
His legs and lower body moved gracefully and quickly through the water a speed quick the Myrian could not compete with as he swam away from shore. |
