43rd of Spring, 513 A.V.

After a day of exploring this strange new city Iris noticed it was getting dark out. Around the time to pull back into her shelter and call it a good night. Iris was dressed in her beautiful blue scale mail armor. She wasn't the one to wear protection all the time but she had just arrived in Nyka three days before. The pale Konti woman didn't trust a soul in this odd place.

Iris made her way into the Safehaven Hostel, twisting the first door open and stepping in. Ignoring everything on the first floor, Iris stormed past everyone who might have been standing around and kept taking those light steps until she reached the double room she had rented out for the time she planned to spend in the city.

Iris stepped into her double room. There were two beds inside of the double room. The Konti was ready to retire to her bed. Her hands found their way to the bed closest to the door. Her backpack was missing! Iris double took the situation and ran to the second bed thinking she could have misplaced it. It wasn't there either. Iris looked under both beds, they were aligned next to each other so she could see under both of them. The Konti began to panic. Her Mizas weren't in the bag, they were all with her because she had to pay for some things to finish settling in. Along with the Gladius that she carried on the belt of her scale mail armor.

Multiple important items were inside of Iris' backpack. Her healer's and herbalist's kits, the rest of her clothing, and a bunch of other small items she needed like her toiletries, waterskin, and extra food she had on the side due to everything that goes on in Nyka.

Suddenly the Konti felt something. Everytime something of her's was taken or misplaced she had this feeling. It was her gift. She knew where that item, or in this case, those items were. They weren't out of range, Iris knew that much. The Konti stormed out of her room and stepped back into the halls of the Hostel. She started to run. Iris wasn't very good at running, she wobbled, almost tripped a few times, and she wasn't very fast. Then she stopped in front of a door. She felt something behind the door. Iris knew her things were in that room.

"Open this door..." Iris said coldly. She wasn't loud at all. Like a lot of Konti she was quiet. The pale woman lifted her left arm up and lightly knocked on the door four times. The Timandre wanted her things desperately. "Open this door now or things may turn ugly." Iris warned whom ever could have been behind the door.

Thieves Are Neat (Ana Sol Starris)

Postby Ana Sol Starris on April 6th, 2013, 6:10 am

Yawning tiredly on her bed and swaying a foot back and forth as she layed on her bed, mind getting distracted every now and again until finally she was thouroughly bored of being obediant. Off the bed she went, shrugging the purple jacket on so it snugged itself on her shoulders, whilst grabbing the cane by her bedside and out the door of her room she went. Down the stairs she went without a clue of what she was about to do, but rather to explore, it was easy enough since the Hostel consisted of mostly bedrooms. I'll see who is all here first, Ana thought teresly to herself as she skulked around the Hostel, taking note of those who were present. Until finally she noticed the white haired lady in a frivolous armor set made of scales was nowheres to be seen. Now, Ana had a nose for these types of things, but she couldn't exactly pin point where the Konti's room was..

She knew the Konti slept on the 2nd floor, much like Ana did but apart from that she was clueless. Back up the stairs the thief went, mindful to be quiet with her darting around and stepping about quickly, a lightness to her feet granted by her tiny demeanor. "Where.. Where.." Ana whispered as she rotated her wrist with that hand that held the cane about, a small smile forming as she got close to door number one. Pressing her ear against it and listening for life behind it, she heard a squeek, pulling herself away quickly and moving to door number two, and doing the same thing. A cough, and snivel, knowing this door was a dud as well she went on to the next few doors, one of them even opened when she went to place her ear against it. "Woah! Sorry 'bout that" Ana rambled at the unexpected visitor, his glare was mean "piss off" he said and pushed pass her.

"Charmed to meet you too" Ana called after him cheerily, and he ignored her.

"Ol' brute needs to lose some stuff.." she muttered under her breath as she turned away, looking down both ends of the hall before entering his room and searching about it wonderfully for any valuables. Pocketing mizas that would have happened to be just 'laying' around, and displacing any trinkets that had 'her' name on them. Like a rolling tempest, she saw, she claimed, she left, and no one but her became the wiser. Shutting the door behind herself and then continued on her search for the Konti's room, Ana was about to give up and start sacking rooms at random now. There was no definite way to single out the white haired beauties room, and so she did exactly what the desperate would have done in her self provoked situation- for every room that made not a sound, nor as she got on the ground to look for shuffling feet, Ana struck those rooms fast.

Though she had to be smart about this, she did not strike each vacant room that was occupyed consecutively. Ana instead took what she found back to her room, hid it, and continued on striking, and if she had to compliment herself- it was on self restraint. She could have taken everything, for every room she checked, she weighed the consequences and how much each item could possibly warrent a search and seizure of the Hostel visitors rooms. If they went to Vysia, Ana could possibly try to deal with her, but the woman was so steadfast, she wasn't sure that would be possible at all. So she played the safe side of things, it was until she found a backpack filled with medical supplies, and kits, that she let herself splurge a bit in her good luck. It would have been too hard to carry them with the cane, so she took the backpack, and all its contents.

This would have to be once every few visitors that came by, wouldn't want to risk getting caught a second time, as she didn't know what monks would do to a thief that was stealing from foreigners instead of the Nykan citizens themselves. All went swimmingly fine, and Ana had a ton of goodies sitting in her room now, hidden underneath her bed. Flopping on top of it, she found herself quickly drifting off into dream land- she had always been terrible at sleeping... But she found herself more inclined to lightly sleep, than deep sleep, so it wasn't any wonder that when a rapping began on her doorway. Making her splutter from her light doze and turn her head half aware of her surroundings towards the door, she thought perhaps the person that was knocking had left... If only that would have been true. Ana had to strain her ears just to hear the voice.

Groaning, she got up and hobbled her way to the door, propping the cane against her side as she would open the doorway and peek through "whatta'want?" Ana snarled, turning into an immediate crank for being awaken so unobtrusively. Only to find it was the Konti lady at her rooms door, to the best of Ana's abilities she kept a rather straight face, with just a slight twitch to the corner of her lips and eyes hinting at her irritation "the petch you got a problem with me for?" Tilting her head, it was easy to just shut the door in the Konti's face. If the woman had been there for her stuff, Ana was curious on how she knew where to look, if that was what she was looking for- of course. One should never assume...
