Seeing the huge creature leap over the rock Luradin knew that he must get the upper-hand somehow, but it was almost impossible against the defensive stance of Gruul. Scanning the environment there were a few trees but most would allow Gruul to see Luradin climb up them. One tree was quite close to Luradin and as far as he could see it would not allow Gruul to spot him as he clambered up into it's branches. Taking a light-footed run up to the tree, Luradin hurled himself up at it and gripped a branch that was jutting out to one side. Gripping the branch with one hand Luradin threw himself around the trunk and to the opposite side, placing the trunk between Gruul and himself for cover. he gripped any branches that were on this side of the trunk and the sides and scraped he feet on the bark quietly to push himself up higher in the tree. Finding a branch with some leaves growing further down it Luradin poked his head out just underneath it, his head was almost invisible under the shade of the matted leaves. |
