1st Day of Summer 510 AV |
Akiva sauntered into the tavern, ignoring her urges to mess with the Rearing Stallion banner hanging just outside the door. Kipps, who appeared to be slightly sleepy, followed lazily behind her, his tail up as usual. Upon entering the room, a variety of different scents wafted towards her; ale, burning wood, and the welcoming smell of a homemade dinner being cooked. If Kipps had been tired before, he was now quite awake, and just as curious as she was. "They make such wonderful smells for us in here don't they Kipps?" She said in a low voice, looking down to the small black cat at her feet. Kipps purred joyfully and circled around her, rubbing against her legs with his body. He stopped short, having gotten one of his front claws stuck in her skirt, which wrapped around her long legs, open on one side to reveal her upper thigh and her bare feet. He sat down and tugged at it, trying to free his claw until she bent over to help him. Her shirt, equally as revealing, came down to just above her navel and had off-the-shoulder sleeves. "Let's sit over there!" she said excitedly, pointing to the table closest to the door. Kipps followed as she half ran to the table and sat down. Kipps jumped onto the chair beside her and started licking his paws, paying no attention to anything else. Akiva set her pack down next to her and rummaged through it until she found what she had been looking for, and happily pulled out a wooden flute. She played a few notes on it to warm up as she waited for a waitress, who very promptly came to take her order. "What can I get for ya?" The waitress said in a casual voice. "I'll have a mug of ale and whatever's for lunch, unless it's vegetables." she said with a look of disgust. The waitress chuckled and smiled, "I don't think you'll be disappointed today miss." She walked off, returning moments later with a mid-sized bowl of steaming hot stew, a chunk of bread, and a mug of ale. Akiva handed her the 6 silver rimmed mizas she owed for the meal. The waitress thanked her and quickly hurried off to clean tables. Akiva began hurriedly eating her stew, washing it down with a drink of ale here and there. |
