Specifically, Berkanstel is a Viper Dhani, the smallest-sized subrace of Dhani. The Viper Dhanis are physically the weakest among the three subraces, the other being Constrictor and Rattler, but they make up for it with their deadly venom and agility. Viper Dhanis are the fastest among the subraces and their venom are extremely potent. Their venom can cause mortality within minutes if not treated. Human Form In her human form, Berkansstel looks like an petite adult human female, albeit with reptillian scarlet eyes. She stands at 152 cm (5 feet) and weighs 53 kg (117 lbs). Her hair is pale white in color akin to an elderly human, its length reaches to her lower back. She usually wears a black dress with white frills adorned with two wing-shaped cloaks made with raven feathers and a single red rose bowtie. She also wears a black headband with ribbons and a small red rose on top of it. Dhani Form In her Dhani form, she measures 3 meters (10 foot) from the tip of her tail to the top of her head. Shiny black scales across her body and two retractable fangs filled with venom are located at her mouth. As usual with Viper Dhanis, she is agile, has a cobra-like hood that could flare or flatten at will, and the ability to spring by coiling her tail and launching forward. The Dhani form is her least favorite form as Beru thinks that this form is unsightly, one should either be full humanoid or full serpentine, not something in the between. Still, when harvesting her own venom, she uses this form as it's easier than her viper form (Snakes have no arms). Viper Form Her viper form is that of a black cobra. She measures 210 cm (7 feet) from the tip of her tail to the end of her snout. Like her Dhani form, she has shiny black scales, two venom-filled retractable fangs in her mouth, and cobra hood. Fast and agile, when hunting she would quickly slither on the ground and deliver a venomous strike faster than the blink of an eye. Character Concept : A Dhani who is very proud of her venomous heritage. Poison is often seen as a vile and evil thing, a tool for assassins and corrupt politicians to cowardly eliminate their adversaries, a substance capable of taking lives while saving none. Berukansttel doesn't see it that way, she sees poison like fire itself, it can be friendly or deadly depending on the user. Poison is merely a tool, it's not evil. The evil ones are the ones using it for evil. She has always been fascinated by the venom every since she was a youngling (30 years old). She would gather various critters from the desert near her nest and brought them in. Once there, she would quickly bit the critters one by one and slowly observe how the poison begin affecting their bodies. Berukansstel did not derive evil or sadistic pleasure from her act, instead she observed them with curiosity and calculating thoughts akin to a scientist... at least that what she thought about herself. One could see her delightful grin as she watches the critters writhe and dies in agony, in truth, she's quite sadistic like most Viper Dhanis, she just doesn't view it as a wrong act. Personality : Calm, calculating, and very open-minded. Berukansstel has a very loose sense of morals, in her mind, an act or objects usually perceived as evil are not evil unless it's done with evil intentions. Then again her sense of 'evil' is also very loose, if someone do an evil act to stop a greater evil then it's not evil. She cares for people who are kind to her, she's even more caring to people who hates her. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer is her principle. After all, enemies must think that you trust them before you slip a drop of... cobra poison to their drink. She doesn't hate liars, she finds them intriguing. If she found out that someone is lying to her, she will obfuscate stupidity and play along. If one should think that she's a naive person then good, very good. It would only work in her favor when she offers them a very special drink one day. She admits that the subject of romance intrigued her and she would like to fall in love to a worthy person one day. She's not above expressing her romantic attraction to a person even if it's a temporary attraction. She's also aware of her feminine body and when a man compliments her, she would respond in kind and compliment the man as well, she thinks that those women who prioritize chastity and go angry or embarassed at the slightest sexual compliment to be naive. Men are so much more easy to trust you when they like you and should in case the man intends to use her then good, she would use her feminine charms to persuade him to drink her very special drink or drive her own venom-coated longsword to his chest when he's asleep. Character History : A Viper Dhani born in a small nest near Ahnatep City in the Eyktol Desert. Berukansstel spend most of her childhood being taught how to survive under her mother's wings. She lived quite a good life, however her mother always reminded her that the world out there is very harsh and unforgiving bordering on evil. Berukansstel inherited her mother's logical and calm personality, she would not let herself be consumed by naivety. If people would view her as cold and mean then so be it, she doesn't care, she has other people who actually cares for her anyway. Her mother is very proud of the Viper Dhani's venomous fangs and she taught Berukansstel to make full use of it. She taught her that pragmatism beats idealism, after all no one would remember how 'noble' your frontal charge look if you're dead. Berukansstel fully agrees with her. At the age of 100, when Berukansstel finally learned how to change to her human shape, her mother gave her a gift. A black dress with white frills, complete with its headband, and a set of wing-shaped cloaks made from raven feathers. She bought it from foreign merchants visiting Ahnatep. She said that her daughter deserves the best and even though she had been strict and harsh in her teachings it was for the best of her beloved only daughter. Berukansstel felt very proud of her mother and received the dress with pride and delight. She had been wearing it ever since, carefully preserving and repairing it should it be damaged. At the age of 105, Berukansstel said she wanted to explore and see the world and eventhough its harsh and unforgiving, she knew that there are still good things in it. Her mother was hesitant at first, after all she has been caring for her only daughter for over a century, it's very hard to see her wanting to leave. But she understood her daughter's decision and agreed on one condition, one is that you must always remember that Goddess Siku will always be with you and two, you need to have other fighting abilities than your venom. Berukansstel chose the longsword as her weapon of choice, she bought her cold iron longsword from a weapon merchant at Ahnatep. The cold iron fascinated her, in the hot desert of Eyktol, the cold iron was still cool to touch. Returning home, she practiced on how to use it for a full two years, occasionally asking help from her mother or The Queen of her nest. At the age of 107, Berukansstel bid her farewell to her mother and family. Her mother said that you must promise that you will return someday. "I promise, Mother..." Was her final words as she sheathed her longsword and packed her belongings and set out to see the world. The cloaks' main purpose is to wrap it around her neck in case the temperature gets too cold for comfort, it also served as decorations.
