Gaius smiled as they laid there and watched the stars come out. When Adsila giggled at the shooting star, he smiled at her, turning his head to look at her happily. "Make a wish," he said quietly, secretly wishing that she felt the same way he did. As she suddenly leaned over and kissed him on the lips, not deep and long, just a quick peck, he blushed furiously and realized that, sometimes, wishes do come true.
Words failed him. For all his intelligence and bravado, words simply failed him. He tried to stammer something out, but words wouldn't come. Finally, he simply leaned towards her and kissed her, a bit longer than she had kissed him, full on the lips, before pulling back with a nervous smile.
