Shayth Basic Information Race: Inarta Birthday & Age : Season of Autumn, Day 18, 486 AV (23) Gender: Female Physical Description Shayth stands about 5'11", and her skin is of a light beige. Her long, waist length hair is a rich and fiery red, falling straight and worn loose. Her eyes are a brilliant sky blue and her body is athletic but not overly muscular. Her movements are often light, and she holds herself with an almost predatory grace. Shayth wears a black pair of bryda slug low on her waist and a short black strapless vinati. It is decorated by rich gold embroidery and red glass beads, with small gold chains falling around her shoulders. On her arms she wears black sontav, matched with the same embroidery as her vinati - and on her feet a pair of black ankleboots. Adorning her throat is a fine beaded necklace that falls in a V to the centre of her chest. Character Concept Shayth is a fiery soul, quick to laugh and quick to anger. Her emotions are almost worn on her sleeve and its not uncommon to see her go from happy to angry to upset in the same sentence. She's a passionate woman and enjoys drinking with the men and flying with the eagles. She is a rider by nature, and her eagle - Turiska - is her closest companion. Character History Shayth was born into a well do to family, her father and mother both Endal. From the moment she could walk, the child wanted to ride the great feathered beasts. Running through the deep catacombs of the aerie, the toddler would giggle and wave to the birds and their riders. As she grew older, the girl would stand on the edge of the rocky outcrops and watch the birds flying through the sky, wind whipping at her vibrant red hair. When she turned fifteen, the blue eyed girl moved out of her parents quarters and set herself up in the fledgling home - hoping to prove worthy to one of the awkward hatchings. Offering up fresh fish and gentle scratches, Shayth found herself drawn to a particularly moody bird. The young creature ignored the inarta at first, snapping her dangerously large beak at her and making irritated chirruping sounds. Tentatively, the girl would try to communicate with the fledgling, who peered at her with angry golden eyes, but didn't respond. Fueled on by the eagles lack of interest, Shayth showered her with gifts and praise, talking to her with both her mouth and her mind. After months of affection and patience, Shayth finally let her temper get the best of her. Frustrated, she began to pack her bags to leave the foul bird alone. As she stood to leave, a clear girlish voice entered her mind. It was the fledgling, and it was her name. Turiska. Left together in the new housing of Turiska and Shayth, the two creatures bonded closely. Shayth realised that the bird was a moody and often short tempered creature, and the same could be said of herself. They bickered together like some sort of married couple, but the love and friendship between them was strong. The bickering only covered deeper emotions that both felt and understood. Learning together, Shayth cared for Turiska whilst at the same time learning to ride her. The first time the wind eagle took flight with Shayth on her back it was both terrifying and exhilarating. As they grew together, the bird lost her down feathers and developed a rich dark grey sheen. There was nothing that either female wanted or needed, and any advancements by the young male riders towards Shayth was met with a snapping beak and violent screech. The young woman would soothe the bird and apologise to the men, embarrassed by the antics. Taking on her responsibility as a Rider, Shayth uses her abilities to protect those around her and the wind eagles. Following the guidance of the Valintar, she joins others in policing their society and installing the sense of what is right and what is wrong. When the two find themselves bickering more often than not, Shayth steals away to the local watering hole to mingle with the locals and meet the foreigners. The outsiders fascinate her, and she likes to hear about the world outside of the Reach.
