Feeling betrayed by the Dhani yet stupid that her opinion led her astray, Carmara thought of a way to dismiss Ssynareis for she no longer has any trust nor like for her. Understanding that acting fast would bring threat to herself and her people, Carmara chose to beat the serpent sounding woman not with strength, but with intelligence.

Carmara knew her idea would have to wait or there could a big chance of bloodshed, So she acted as if Ssynareis' answer didnt faze her. "It is a rich Benshira tradition that we drink medicinal and herbal teas to make us feel healthier." Carmara says as she pours 2 cups of tea handing the Dhani 1.

"This specific blend will help you breath better. though i also have a recipe to heighten your taste, making your food taste better." Carmara says informatively before she takes a sip from the hot tea

The fact that her answer didn't faze Carmara was enough to bring suspicion to the forefront of Ssynareis' mind. She had expected some form of verbal retaliation or panic from the young woman, however neither was forth coming. If her years of dealing with her own kind had taught her anything it was that it was certainly a good idea to be more on her guard. She wordlessly accepted the tea with a gracious smile, swearing that if she had to force another her face would crack.

Ssynareis regarded the drink with some suspicion, she knew little of herbs but the likelihood that the drink was poisoned in some fashion did not escape the constrictor. However she had blended it before Ssynareis had told her about being a friend of the Eypharians, so by power of deductive reasoning she knew it was highly unlikely that the tea was poisoned. Likely that was her own paranoia talking.

As such the serpent sipped at the drink carefully, hissing slightly as the hot tea burned her tongue slightly. More heat was definitely not something she needed here in the middle Eyktol.

The serpent placed her tea down and regarded Carmara for a moment, her decision reached at this point.

"I hope you'll excuse me, but I need to go find a spot to relieve myself." The Dhani said, standing up and placing her sword back on her side.

"Do you all have a tent for such actions or shall I simply go behind the nearest dune?" Ssynareis questioned wryly.

A tent would be preferable for the transformation, as it would give her a much more potent element of surprise. However a dune would serve her purposes just as well, considering her fearsome strength as a Dhani and skill with her scimitars, she doubted that these sand dwellers would pose much of a fight either way. Carmara would probably end up being the lucky one she brought back to Ahnatep, after all, herbalism was a useful skill for a slave. It might just up her price.

The Start of A New Life

Postby Carmara on May 5th, 2013, 4:23 pm

Though hidden by her veil Carmara had formed a huge smile on her face trying not to laugh, seeing that the desert was a large and desolate place that was easy to get lost in. Carmara noticed that the Animalistic woman was very used to the comfortability of a city and had no knowledge of the desert or even where Benshira nomads releive themselves. Carmara had a dark idea in her head that would possibly harm or even kill this Dhani.

Understanding the strength and how well prepared Ssynareis is for combat, Carmara was confident she was more intelligent of the 2. So she points towards 3 large dunes in the east and says "They may look far but once you start heading up the first dune there will be tents to the south. This is where our preists and leaders camp, it is also where the tent you are looking for is" with an informative tone of voice.

Seeing how Carmara was under the impression that Ssynareis is a seductress, The Benshira woman knew that telling her that there were leaders and preists out in the desert would peak the Dhanis interest.

With confidence that the Tall warrior will fall for her little trick. Carmara begins to gather her things to put away

Ssynareis had to fight down a wicked grin of victory, things seemed to be going her way. If the far dunes were indeed where the leaders made camp they would make a wise first target, when leaderless human were generally easier to pick off one at a time. With a nod of thanks the Dhani set out for the far dune that Carmara had pointed out, allowing a slow hungry smile to widen across her face. This tiny camp wouldn't have a chance against a constrictor Dhani, even if they had some semblance of resistance ready for her.

The way up the dune was rather long but it would provide all the obscurity she needed. The heat was also starting to get annoying but such was the way of the desert. Once at the top of the dune she frowned, Carmara had deceived her. An interesting ploy, perhaps she expected Ssynareis to fall dead away from exhaustion, or simply not be able to find her way back to the camp. A good way to stall for time perhaps, but Carmara didn't know Ssynareis was more than she seemed.

The Dhani quickly disrobed, placing her clothes and belongings on a pile at the top of the dune with her heavy things on top of the lighter ones to weigh them down somewhat. The winds were not blowing strong today, however it never hurt to be cautious.

Once this was accomplished, Ssynareis laid down in the sand and began to shift. The display was extremely grotesque to look upon, as bones and flesh shifted unnaturally. Her body lengthened and stretched, scales taking the place of flesh, hair sinking into the skin. It looked painful to an onlooker but it was actually quite relaxing for the constrictor.

It took about thirty seconds for her body to change fully to her Dhani form, what she became was truly a terrifying sight to behold. Glistening dark green and black scales covered her body, a muscular human torso was the only indication of what she had once been. A long thick tail dominated her lower body, strong enough to grip wayward fools in its coils. Her serpent head possessed large teeth designed to grip and pull prey into the depths of her stomach.

All told Ssynareis was 23ft long from tail to snout, a behemoth few would wish to face. She drew herself up, allowing a hissing sigh to escape her as she gripped Fang and Venom. She started back up the way she had come, making a careful note of where her possession were.

Her eyes fell up the small camp, vicious thoughts of battle entering her mind.

Let the games begin, Ssynareis thought with cruel glee.

The Start of A New Life

Positive that her new enemy was lost in the burning lands of the desert by now, Carmara took no chances as she has been warning her people since the second Ssynareis stepped foot out of camp.

Most of them more world weary than Carmara, they beleived her with raised suspicians from the second that the snake-like woman got there. Ssynareis Having a threatening look to her since she had walked into camp, it should have been no suprise that others felt the same way Carmara did.

"There has been a beast sent to seduce and enslave our people! We must prepare our things and leave before this animalistic being comes back with an army of Eypharion slavers!" Carmara and others announced repetetively in Shiber as tent by tent was taken apart by Benshira nomads.

With fear of being enslaved or killed most of the nomads were prepared to evacuate with little excuse not to. Within only half a bell the nomads began traveling southeast leaving no trace of they're existance as always.

The chances of a traveller finding a Benshira camp is rare. The chances of someone tracking them through the desert is next to impossible. The soft winds cover they're footprints and the exhausting heat would cause anyone to give up, the Benshira nomads were sure of they're safety.

OOCYou should be aware that camps usually have livestock to worry about and since Ssynareis had already spotted the camp it is unlikely they would be able to escape her notice. Also remember that Dhani have heightened senses, so she wouldn't need to see you to track you. If you were planning on the thread taking a different direction, PM me and we'll work something out

Ssynareis was faced with something of a dilemma as she watch from the dune the Benshiran attempts at escape. She was left with two options at this point, she could attempt to chase them down while they were still in sight, or give up and return to Ahnatep. Both options had potential gains and draw backs. On the one hand, while it wouldn't be overly difficult to chase down the desert dwelling human it would draw her further into the desert. This could mean getting lost, not a good prospect.

On the other hand she had her pride to think of, if she let these weakling humans escape when they were in her grasp she would be shamed. Ssynareis considered both paths carefully, the Benshira were still well in sight, attacking them would not be overly difficult for her. In fact it would be easier to catch them as they were, they needed to transport livestock and their own possessions. Meaning they would be slow on the travel.

Still, getting lost and dying in the desert was certainly not an appealing prospect in any way, shape or form. So her options were at this point, pursue and face the possibility of getting lost for potential profit, or leave and face the shame of returning with clean blades and nothing to sell at the slave market. Needless to say it was quite the dilemma and every minute she spent in consideration was time they would be ready to escape her grasp.

Finally, realizing that leaving now would be and insult to Siku, Ssynareis moved down the dune towards the retreating Benshira. Her senses in her Dhani form were far beyond those of a human, her tongue flicked out to taste the air easily picking up the scent of livestock and humans. It was such a shame really, they had almost escaped her, if she had been a human then their little ploy probably would have worked. But she was a Dhani, desert or jungle she was an apex predator.

She was faster moving than the Benshira were, by grace that she did not have to worry about supplies, livestock, or children. Her senses would find them even should they escape her vision. There would be no escape for these humans, not today.

The Benshira people see the Dhani by the time it is around a quarter of the way down the enormous sand dune. Having no fear of the half-snake woman considering the distance she is away from them.

The majority of the Benshiras simply draw they're slingshots and begin pelting Ssynereis with hard rocks that are launched from them. These slingshots being capable of killing a predater with one good shot due to blunt damage, the damage that is being done to this constricter is unimaginable. Ofcourse none of them are close enough to see the whelps and bruises put on the Dhani's skin.

Carmara stands and stares amazed by the transformation of the woman she last saw. Waiting for the Dhani to fall in the sand dead as her freinds and family that are not weilding slingshots try to pull Carmara away. The only thought left on her mind is "how can a creature be so ignorant to end it's life in this way?" as she begins to fall in with the base of the few unarmed Benshiras.

Ssynareis had been so confident in her own prowess in combat, so arrogant of her own power that she had failed to take into account that some of the Benshira were armed. When some of the stones began to pelt her scales the Dhani roared in rage and pain, from the irritating projectiles. She had no doubt as she continued her advance that she was going to be injured by the end of this affair if she didn't reach their lines quickly. Already she suspected that bruises and welts were forming from the few stones that managed to hit the massive creature.

She was going to kill them all for this insult, she would paint the sands red with human blood and not stop until they were screaming on their way to their pathetic Yahal. Siku demanded blood for this pain and she was more than pleased to deliver on that. Another rock hit her as she sped towards the Benshira across the sands, by this point the pain was becoming standard. They were fools to believe such pathetic weaponry would stop a child of Siku, they would slow her and injure her but such things could be healed when this was over.

If her serpentine mouth possessed lips to grin she would have a savage smile on her face as realization of what kind of creature she really was dawned upon the humans as she drew ever closer. Her scimitars were held high above her head, shining brightly in the sunlight as she made her movements more unpredictable as she zigzagged her way closer. Some fled, a few drew small arms, it wouldn't matter in the end. Blood would be spilt this day.

The wounds she had suffered from the slingshots were stinging and painful, blood trickling from the wounds that peppered her serpentine body but they were manageable for now. The shouldn't be any undo hindrance to her at this rate. Constrictor Dhani were naturally tough creatures, able to endure much pain before needing to retreat. It was a lesson that these lesser creatures would soon learn.

One of the Benshira charged her, a short blade held high above his head. He swung at Ssynareis as she came into range of the weapon, she blocked the clumsy strike with one blade and sent the other through his gut with feral glee. She yanked the weapon from the human and readied herself for the other two weapon wielding warriors. Her blades were dripping with the blood of their friend, likely this wouldn't be much of a fight.

The camp had been small enough to where she probably only had to worry about seven or eight warriors, well six or seven now. If the clumsy skill of their comrade was any indication this wouldn't be too difficult.

The Benshira though only mere shepards with small weaponry could have much more accuracy being in a 10 foot radius of the Dhani. Ssynareis outnumbering herself 8 to 1 was in no position to pick a fight regardless of the size or strength of the Benshira. as two men moved in with short blades five others launch rocks directly at the throat of the Dhani.

Though having tough scales and a muscular build, quick, hard shots would be more than capable of damaging vital organs and killing the constricter indefinitly.

As the bloodshed began the unarmed Benshiras kept moving deeper into the desert as they were becoming less and less visible. Carmara keeping an eye over her shoulder seeing that the Dhani wont be standing much longer and prepared to scavenge the rich items off of her corpse.

Pain, it was something that Ssynareis was well accustomed to by this point in her life. She had been hunted by Myrians, nearly killed at least three times, and fought against many fine warriors so pain was certainly a certainty for such a violent lifestyle. She was out numbered, seven to one odds against her. She was no blade master but she knew at the moment she needed an edge to avoid being pelted by more stones. Slingshots were accurate in the hands of the skilled and it was clear that at least one of the Benshira was one such individual. One shot made painful contact with her throat, causing a hacking and hissing fit.

Ssynareis cut the head of the spear from on of the weapon wielding Benshira, moving back slightly. She tripped the other one, a large man holding an axe, with her tail. She stabbed the one with the axe in the heart, taking great pleasure in the tearing of flesh against steel and quickly managed to disarm the other with a quick succession of slashes.

The Dhani coiled herself around the human and placed a blade to his throat, squeezing him tightly.

"Drop your weaponsss, Benssshira, and I will ssshow mercccy to you and your comrade. If you do not I will take thisss man an othersss with me before I fall." The Dhani threatened loudly.

The man squirmed in her grip but she simply tightened her coils, making sure to keep her blade far enough from his throat so the human couldn't try anything heroic. If they truly were the close knit people Carmara made them out to be they would fold, not wanting to risk losing more to fell the constrictor. If they did not then Ssynareis would simply kill the man she held and flee back to Ahnatep before suffering any further wounds. They would likely fold and Ssynareis would relieve them of their lives and possessions.
