"Ah, yes. Doctor. Physician. I think they're calling me a medic. All the same basic thing." Those were some of the more pleasant things he'd been called. Monster. Evil. Horrible. Emotionless. Mean. Those were all on the list, too, but none needed brought up. "It's not horribly difficult, but I guess that's just my upbringing talking." He closed his eyes again, as a dizzy spell took him. He'd need a good rest after this one. "Ahh...." He moaned quietly, trying to gather himself. Thankfully, he'd been able to get the initial instructions out.
He stayed on the ground, remaining quiet as Kyra carried out his orders. It was an interesting dynamic the two had together. He'd first met her at the Soothing Waters bathhouse when he was covering for an ill coworker. He'd made sure that he claimed her as his client, because, well, she was attractive. Very attractive. From there they'd run into each other a few times, and nearly each time, if not every time, there was some sort of violence, some sort of bloodshed. More of note, at least to the squire, was the fact that he'd barely flirted with the woman or even made an attempt to bed her. She was...interesting, so he never really had the focus to do so. There was always something else which was more pressing, whether it was an angry, hairy man, a four armed woman, or a job to be completed.
Orion opened his mouth to speak but quickly lost himself in his caretaker's eyes as she beat him to the punch. Soothing, calming words flowed forth from Kyra's lips, but even so, they struck him as odd. Orion had never heard her speak in that way. In fact, she'd rarely said that much in one go since he'd met her. Also, she was straddling him. Everything was taking his mind off of the pain, and all his attention was on the blond gently cleaning his face. None of the words she spoke were anything that he didn't already want to do, and he knew she was trying. Still, she sounded kinda weird...
"Yeah, the lemongrass oil. It'll stop any infection from blinding or killing me. Sounds good, eh?" He motioned to the container haphazardly, taking deep breaths as the cool cloth touched his face again. "Apply it to the open wound, see if you can keep it out of my eye if at all possible, and then take some bandages out and cover me up. Pretty straightforward, right?" The water, it was nothing. Maybe it was her soothing words, or maybe he was just that tough. It was a simple enough exchange that he was happy to have over. Water was natural to the body, so it only stung.
But this oil? It was gonna hurt like a bitch.
