The Return Home I
Spring 87th, 513 AV; 11th Bell
Yes the time had come, the time when this trip would end and Ricky would find himself back home. That's exactly how it was too, only Ricky was completely psyched when he watched his home grow on the horizon. He already knew when the ship hit Mathew's Bay by the feel of the wind that caught them. A sense of familiarity was in the air as the ship kept its pace, and ever since then he's had the restless energy to be off the ship and onto the stone streets of his hometown. Now the ship neared the docks at a slug's pace until finally it obnoxiously creaked to a stop. As the passengers filed off to obtain their cargo Ricky and Hannah had done the same, but as they left the docks Ricky slowed his pace down as the sight of the city filled him completely full. He was home! The city had done fine on its own and now he was back, back to make sure things would remain safe. Not just for that of course, he was also back for those he missed dearly. All his friends were a constant thought on his mind, as he worried for their safetly without end. To his great surprise though one friend had already waited for his return, a friend he was more than happy to see at last. "Telion!"
"Ricky!" She cheered as she ran up to hug him, she drew back with a wide smile that lit up her face. She then looked to Hannah, one eyebrow rose in a curious manner. "I send you off to bring one red head back and you leave the other?" She teased with a smile, the three of them laughed.
"Valo had elsewhere to go, but he'll be back someday." He assured her with a warm grin, the joy of being home at last filled his entire being. Telion turned to Hannah and held her arms out expecting a hug, Hannah didn't expect it at first but she gave her one with a laugh.
"Welcome back!" When the two parted she looked back to Ricky, her wide smile lessened a little. "I've something to tell you Ricky."
"I've got somethin to tell ya too!" He cheered as he believed to know what she was getting at, after all he finally came to realize that he too had feelings for her. "Ye go first!"
"Well..." The smile vanished completely now as she began to look nervous, her eyes looked elsewhere besides him or Hannah.
"Laviku's balls, you're with child!" Hannah statement surprised the both of them, as Telion watched in horror at what Ricky's reaction might be.
"Y... Yer carryin... my child?!" He repeated as the shock kicked in, he wasn't sure on what he felt. Excited? Nervous? Neither of those were strong enough to define the feelings, but his reaction was apparently strong enough to scare Tel.
"I... I have to go!" She quickly turned as she tried to keep from crying, and ran off without looking back.
"Telion wait!" He exclaimed, though his words were unheard. He would've went after her, but the news that he was an expecting parent somehow knocked the breath out of him.
"You big headed oaf! Shouldn't you be happy?!" Hannah stated with a disappointed look, Ricky kicked a nearby crate hard as he paced around.
"I didn't expect to know I'm gonna be a dad! How would ye've reacted?!" He felt the urge to hit something as he hated himself, his reaction wasn't the one that should've happened. He should've been happy about it, if he didn't have other things on his plate. "Laviku damn it!"
"Hey! Cool your head for a while, I'll go talk to her and explain somethings to her. In the mean time you clear your head, and figure out the words you have to say to her." She instructed him with a hand on his shoulder, Ricky looked down to her and silently nodded. "Right, good. Now if you excuse me, I have a relationship to save." She winked to him and walked on into the city, which left Ricky to be alone at the docks. He didn't remain there though, instead he went elsewhere into the city. He had to clear his mind, to think about things and figure them out.
