The room was dimly lit, for various reasons. Sunlight had almost no way of getting in, as the windows were small and translucent. Candles that littered the room were a poor source of light. But, the light was no matter for a Kelvic with wolf blood. Wolves have a fair ability of being able to see in the dark. Sylkra was no exception.
Sylk laid on the bed lazily, sleep drifting on and off. It was quiet in her home, in the apartment of Syliras. Quiet was the way Sylk liked it. After a while, Sylk decided she was unable to sleep and, frustrated, leaped off the soft, warm bed and onto the hard, cold floor. She padded over to her water bowl, and lapped the water. It was then, did she feel something odd touch her stomach.
She jumped high into the air, and yelped while doing so.
What just touched me? she thought. Sylk sniffed the air. Nothing was out of the ordinary in her sense of smell, but there was another odd feeling, something was in the room that Sylk couldn't see.
Before she could investigate, the door opened. The one man that Sylk cared about more than anyone else was standing in the doorway, smiling down at his Kelvic. Sylk's vision went slightly blurry with tears. She leaped onto him, almost crashing him onto the floor. She shifted, into a beautiful woman, with a slender build and delicate blonde hair that tumbled down her back past her shoulder blades. Her eyes were like lightning igniting the sky, a bright yellow.
"Master!" she shrieked, pulling Daniel close to her. She pushed her lips onto his, inhaling his rich familiar musk. "You were gone for long..." she muttered, pushing hair out of his eyes. In reality, she had not seen him last since earlier that day, but to a Kelvic, that seemed like years. When she finally relinquished her grip on Daniel, she turned towards the entity that he was talking to.
"You!" she said.
"You're the one who touched my stomach!"
