She felt the water move past her, a reaction that caused her to jerk back and look about. Her eyes scanned the surface, searching almost for where his Res had placed itself. It was perhaps a bit of instinct that made her want to back away, to create a slightly bigger distance between her and the reimancer , more so when the pull of the water lifted slightly. Bolivar grew tired and strained, she could see that as he tried to put the water to his will. It was a dangerous task, a show of power and superiority. One that made Fallon slightly uneasy. She watched it shape, a look of concern forming on her face as he continued to mould the water to his will.
It was a painstaking task, and one that Fallon herself would not want to do without any proper training. She herself would of used a smaller volume, finer sizes and easier to exert her will over it. But what did she know? She did not practice that form of magic after all.
“Personally,” she said as a frown formed “I would like it further away. But that is only because I fear that you will get me soaked through. Why, what are you planning?” Her eyes narrowed at him, her eyebrow raising as she looked upon the mixed blood. He could in reality do anything now, he had the upper hand with his reimancy already out and on display, whilst she herself had none. Her weapons were back on the ground and her projection was nowhere near ready for her defence, “You don’t have to show off because I’m here you know. I would prefer conversation with a mage who doesn’t intend to get his brains scrambled any time soon.”
The squire gave a smile, a flash of confidence briefly residing there as he continued to compress it down. A spurt of steam however made Fallon jolt back with surprise, her hands raising almost instinctively to protect herself. Not that it would have done that much good. She stared at the ball of water, before slowly allowing herself once more to relax. She released a laugh, if anything about her reaction to the slightest movement and change in the ball. She shook her head “This is definitely bad for my health. If I die young, I blame you for putting a strain on my heart.”
Fallon exhaled, and tucked her hands into her pockets. She felt the Djed within her turn and bubble, a gentle nudge of awakening encase things got out of hand. He revealed his project, a condensed ball of water one that hissed loudly on occasion. She watched him go to the edge of the river, and wadded as quickly as she could after him. More so when he questioned how to use it. It made her feel wary, it made her feel unsafe. She tugged at her djed properly now, feeling her left hand going limp in her pocket as she carefully willed it out. She squinted at him in the sunlight as the gentle pull of the astral separated. She gave him a wary look as the astral and the physical dislodged themselves. She scrabbled up the edge the best she could with her right hand, whilst all the time looking at Bolivar.
“I don’t know how you should use this,” she gave him a hard look, before giving him a gentle reminder “But I think you should just use if carefully and not scare the public with it.”
Shyke! What else am I suppose to say? She caught a feel of her astral hand as it came out, a gentle touch from ethereal fingers that it was about. She did not expect Bolivar to be able to see it, let alone sense it. But if he was a reimancer then she would not put it past him to be able to detect it. She was ready to expect the worse. Fallon swallowed “Just… release it without doing too much damage. Please?”
