52 Spring 513 The afternoon had been uneventful. The snow was falling heavily, making Sera chill more often than she usually would. She found herself wandering around aimlessly looking for something sweet. She really didn't know what to do with herself. After a while of pondering the annoyances of wanting something sweet and fruity, she found herself in front of the Tasty Flakes Shop. "Perfect!" She said to herself and opened the door to the cute, little, flavored snow shop. As she stepped inside, she felt all the worries in the world drain from her veins. The place brought back memories and happiness. The walls were filled with colorful, beautiful art work. Sera took a moment to admire them all, before making her way to the counter. "Good day!" She said with a smile, her two-toned eyes shining in the light. "Can I please get some Strawberry Snow?" She asked. "Oh! Can I also have some of the fruit with it?" She asked. "Thank you!" After she got her delicious desert, she made her way to one of the tables. As much as she didn't feel like something cold, her want for something fruity was overwhelming. Sera sat down and began to enjoy her food, just waiting around to see who would show up. As she ate, she watched as the snow continued to fall.

OOCHope you don't mind me popping in ^-^ Spirit wandered into the Tasty Flakes, taking in the marvelous decorations. She'd decided that today, of all days, she was going to try some of the snow they sold here... She rarely indulged like this, but always enjoyed anything sweet in the slightest. She remembered the last time she'd been here, years ago. She'd gotten... blueberry, with the same fruit on top. Though today... she wanted to try something new! But what to try... She stared at the menu before her for a chime or so, going over all the possible options in her mind. She wanted to try something more exciting, but all the exotic flavors were twice the price... so... how about raspberry, with... sweetened milk. That sounded nice! She walked up to the man selling the snow, and ordered her snack. "Hi! Uh... could I have... raspberry... with sweetened milk on top?" The Vantha asked with a smile.The man nodded, returning the smile, and after a few moments returned with a bowl of the delicious treat. The prospective enjoyment made her grin widen, and Spirit paid the man, then moved to find an empty table. Once there, she had to stop herself from gulping it all down, and savor the food. It was so delicious!! She licked the spoon several times, careful to grab any drops of flavoring or snowflakes. Or... iceflakes? She wasn't really sure what to call them. In her pleasure though, the girl was completely immersed into her snack, oblivious to anyone around her.

Trudging across the snowy weather, Ruby was complaining to herself about the hardy lifestyle of Avanthal, one she admired but at times, having trouble keeping up. However, her gloom emphasized the attractiveness of a passing shop. The sign wrote 'Tasty Flakes'. At first she shrugged the temptation off, taking it as a commercial scam, but when she saw the familiar girl with shimmering multicolor hair, she thought for a second.

"Very well, let's see if it's really tasty."

After Ruby stepped through the door, her skeptical view changed. The walls were filled with beautiful art works. Colorful paintings and wood carvings graced by bright colors merge seamlessly with the intricate wall engravings, igniting a kind of gleeful, energetic, yet elegant dance in her imagination. The dance was about a story. Of what she didn't know, and didn't bother to care, for the pleasure was overwhelming enough to captivate her mind. The girl she was about to greet went completely forgotten.

"What are you having, miss ?" asked the shopkeeper, smiling. Apparently the shopkeeper acknowledged and took joy in the beauty of his shop.
"Oh- mango with milk on top, please."

When the treat came — a bowl of shaved ice with mango slices topped with a splash of fresh milk, Ruby sat down on the counter and put a spoonful in her mouth and tasted it around with her tongue, letting it melt like snow. The sharp, sour tang sent a jolt through her nerves.

"Well ?" inquired the shopkeeper, with a confident grin.
Feeling refreshed, Ruby thought around for an appropriate compliment, but nothing felt right, so she went with the first one that popped in mind.

"...how did you make this ?" she asked, her emerald eyes gleaming.

ooc : Sorry guys! I've been pretty sick and then stressed from school! I really didn't mean to take so long! And I'm glad you guys joined in! I'm gonna go ahead and have Sera know who Ruby is even though that hasn't quite been discussed to the Maze thread, hope that's okay! Sera continued looking out the window, watching the large flakes of snow fall from the sky. She continued to eat away at her frozen treat as a fellow Vanthan girl walked into the shop. She smiled at her kindly, but then continued to eat the strawberry dessert. And then the Konti walked through the door, the one that she had run into in the maze with her brother and Yousef. She narrowed her eyes for a second and then stood up. Of course she had to go say hi! As she moved to approach the girl, her foot got trapped in a chair leg and the Vantha's body fell forward. She braced herself for the fall, but didn't notice how close she was to the girl that had walked in before Ruby. The half finished frozen treat flew in the direction of that poor Vantha stranger. Sera hit the ground with a squeel. Embarrassment flooded her cheeks and her eyes changed colors. She pushed herself to sit up and looked around, a deep blush on her cheeks. "Well, that was embarrassing!" She said softly. For a wannabe dancer, she definitely had a way of making herself look like a klutz a little too often.

OOCNo problem! If you were feeling sick... I understand Spirit practically jumped out of her seat as someone came crashing into her chair leg, interrupting her delicious dessert. A girl her age had tripped over it, falling to the ground heavily. Her carried tree was sent flying, hitting the Frostfawn splat in the middle of her face. She yelped at the shock of so much cold landing on her, until a dribble of the juice landed on her tongue. Yum... this tasted almost better than hers! She licked up most of the stuff that landed on her face, before sadly wiping it off. Some had stuck to the back of her hand, and she ate that too, before turning to look at the new person with a smile. "Haha! Are you okay?" She asked, obviously not minding her still sticky face. Suddenly, a thought occurred to her. "Hey! You dropped you snow! Oh... I'm sorry!" She apologized, feeling slightly embarrassed. She'd just eaten this Vantha's food unintentionally... oops... What to do? She didn't have much money, but maybe she should get the girl another... or... "Hey, since I sorta ruined yours... do you wanna bite or two?" She asked, smiling again. Spirit held up her own dessert to the stranger, deciding this would be the best course of action. That flavor didn't taste as good as the new person's, but it was still delicious, no matter what. As she raised the food, it was slightly tempting to take a bite out of the tasty thing, but she resisted the temptation out of politeness.

Ruby turned around as she heard loud sounds from behind. Apparently the rainbow girl — Ruby's new nickname for the multicolored hair Vantha — tripped on something and threw her half finished treat at the black-haired Vantha. This was a good chance to make new acquaintances, she smiled to herself.

After a few short exchanges with the shopkeeper, Ruby approached the two girls with her Mango Snow in one hand and a fresh Strawberry Snow in the other.

"Good evening, would you care to be my company tonight ? I'd rather not go home early if I can help it." greeted Ruby.

[Sera]

"Haha!" Sera giggled softly. "Oh no no no! It was my fault. I wasn't paying any attention." And then she noticed that all of the flavored snow had gotten all over the poor girl. "Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed and quickly got to her feet. "I didn't mean to! I'm so very sorry!!" She held her hands out awkwardly, trying to think of something to do. It was about that time when the Konti girl arrived next to them and asked if she could join them. Sera smiled kindly, "Well Ruby, I'd be careful. Apparently all I do is cause a mess!" She gestured to the girl she did not know. "Once again, I'm terribly sorry. Let me go grab some tissues, they must have something to clean that up with." Without waiting for a response, Sera quickly ran to the front counter. "Excuse me, can I please have something to help clean up over there? I accidentally spilled mine and well..." Before long, in Sera's possession, there was a large towel and a spray bottle with some warm liquid in it. She moved back tot he two girls and began to clean up around the area. "By the way, my name is Sera!" She said with a grin.

Spirit stuck out her tongue as a joke when the girl apologized. Who cared? She got a bunch of delicious snow... mmm. Well, the original owner probably minded that all of her treat had been wasted, so the Frostfawn felt slightly guilty about that. Still, no one seemed to really mind... so she let the feeling fall out of her head, ignoring it.

The girl left to grab cleaning supplies and quickly returned, introducing herself as Sera. The other person, who had recently approached, was also apparently called Ruby. "Nice to meet you guys!" She said happily, then realized she should give her name too. "Oh right. I'm Spirit!"

The young groom gazed uncertainly at the towel and spray bottle Sera now held. She wanted to help clean up... but, well, there was only one set of stuff, and it was partially her she was cleaning up. So, she sat in her chair awkwardly, not sure what to do. She felt bad about not being able to help, but there was really nothing she could do. Well, she could always ask, right? "Uhhh can I help?" She wondered quietly, hoping one of the two could hear her. She'd spoken pretty softly, but she couldn't exactly say it again... that would just sound stupid if they had heard her.

They seem nice enough, especially Spirit. An ideal target for teasing, Ruby said to herself menacingly. This was her first time barging in, so deep down she felt a bit awkward. Though her mother had done this like a habit, she was far from her mother's wisdom and nonchalance.

"We've got many ice here, and surely two can't finish all !" she giggled, trying to break the ice. "Which holds are you with ?" she asked the two, in case they might be of some help in the future should she need it.

The Vantha continued to clean, quickly wiping away all of the flavored treat. When Spirit introduced herself, Sera's eyes changed to their duatoned orange hues, one eyes darker than the other. Even though Spirit offered to help in a rather quiet voice, but Sera was already finished. She smiled kindly. "No worries... But it seems you still have some in your hair." The girl tilted her head to the side, "Would you like me to help get it out?" And then Ruby pitched in, asking what holds the two were from. Without waiting for an answer from the fellow Vantha, Sera moved closer to her. She began to wipe some of the colored snow out of the her new found friend's dark, long, wavy violet shimmering hair. One of the things Sera always loved was playing with people's hair, especially Vanthas! She loved the colors and she loved the texture. Quite often it usually made people feel better about themselves, it was a way to calm people. Sera just hoped she wasn't overstepping her boundaries. "Well, I was born in the Skyglow hold, but I tend to pick up things... er talents from the other holds. Currently I spend my working hours at the Whitevine Healing Center." She continued wiping at Spirit's hair, until it seemed to be clean enough. "I'm big about helping people, recently." Then she looked over at Ruby again, "How about you? What's your story?".
