Spring 15, AV 513 [Outside the Studio of Yae Varone]

Night. As the most people went sleep Elaine could wander safely in the town. In silent. Beautiful melody for the ears, at least for her. Deep in her minds while she was walking on an unfamiliar route. She didn't care this time. In her appearance she was wearing her red dress this time. The canals and the street was so empty, like herself. In her way a black cat jumped there. It was looking at her and Elaine was staring at it. She kneeled down to pat it. As she did the cat immediately ran away. She stood up and realized again... Her touch was uncomfortable even for a cat. Without a comment she continued to walk.

She was still feeling weak. Was she really? No her pride didn't let her to think that. But somehow she knew the truth... it wasn't enough. She needed more and more practice. BEcause of her race, a sin remained which chained her to the world. She thought that but that wasn't the full truth. As she was going she noticed some light on the ground. It was from a building. She looked up. Someone didn't go to sleep yet. No, he or she was disturbing Elaine's peace at the moment. But she didn't care. Maybe she can have fun or make a human being suffer.

"I can get some advantages from it..... Surely... Come human."

She whispered so silently but who was she talking to? Herself or the human? It wasn't important the stranger could hear it surely.

Having a job certainly had its perks, mizas being one of them. However, having to work until the twentieth bell was as far away from a perk as one could get. Well, unless you added in having to work under the watchful eye of one Rajmatta Dunerunner. Then it pushed the non-perkiness of it all to a whole new level.

"No, Baker, left, three inches," the female curator demanded of the young Ravokian as he hefted the heavy, oversized painting in his grasp. "Inches! Not feet!"

The two had been rearranging the artistic works contained within the Studio of Yae Varone for nearly ten bells now and it was most certainly time to call it a night or...morning? Was it really almost morning? By the gods, it was!

"Raj, I think it's time we..."

"It is time we talk less, move more. Three inches, Baker. Go."

"Rajmatta, come on, we've been at this for bells," Coltyn remarked as he gently set the painting down. "None of this is going anywhere. We can finish this tomorrow...or, well, later today even."

"You are defiant. I shall tell Yae this."

"Raj, no. I'm being realistic. We can't finish this project in one day. We simply can't."

"I tell," she announced in her stilted version of the common tongue.

"Fine. Tell. I'm going home and going to bed," the young Ravokian replied as he made his way to the lower level of the establishment. "The sun will be up soon. I would like to get in a few hours of sleep before that happens."

It wasn't like Coltyn to walk away from a task, but this, well, this was getting silly. It was time to call it a day. It was time to...

"Come human."

"Huh?" Coltyn replied as he snatched his leather tunic from the hook by the service door, looking back up the stairs toward the gallery as he did. "Did you say something, Raj?"

"I tell," she snapped back from her place at the top of the stairs.

"I know that. Anything after that?"

"I tell," she repeated once more, but then, with a wicked smirk and a gleam in her eye, she added, "...and you get in trouble!"

"Uh, okay. Yeah. Sure. I just...I could've swore you said something else." he replied as he slipped on his narrow-brimmed hat, which had been sitting on a shelf above where he kept his tunic. "I must be really tired," he muttered more to himself as he stepped outside.

As the man stepped out she walked right there. Standing him in her full appearance she looked at him with no emotion. A blonde man... nothing special. A worker who was tired. Poor him. Elaine nearly felt sorry for him. Nearly. She was also wondering about the woman too. Her voice could creep out Elaine. She bowed before him and whispered to him. Introducing herself was the first thing always and it will be afterawards too. What a mannered ghost.

"It was me who call you. Not that... woman. How can you even work with her? My name is Elaine Spade, The Silent Lady. 'How wonderful to meet you at a time like that.' "

With a sarcastic hint Elaine wasn't really sure how the man will react. But it was also interesting to know that what is he working. Elaine stepped closer to him and she leaned on the right side a bit to check inside. Terrible idea. She couldn't see a thing. She wanted to go in but she company at the moment. Althought it was easier to ask himself. She looked at the man's face again and asked him like it was a normal converstation.

"Hey mortal what are you working there? Is it good? Is it interesting? "

A slight interest. Couldn't get hurt to get better of him. Maybe she was that 'kind' with the humans because mostly she didn't have anyone to speak with. Only rarely. A ghost who wanders alone always in circles in Ravok. But she still found new and new things for herself.

Tired and delusional!

Coltyn staggered back and almost fell through the doorway he had just come from as a...a...what exactly was this before him? It was a girl, but she was...he could...oh petch! He could see right through her!

"What are you?" he questioned in a near whisper as it...no...she began to speak to him. "What in the gods names above are you?" he continued to mutter as she continued to speak.

Clearly he had lost a few marbles during the night. There was no way this was happening right here, right now. He thought that working with Rajmatta would drive him crazy, but he didn't think it would happen this soon. Okay. He didn't really think it would ever happen at all, but here he was seeing something that just couldn't be. Something...so...what was this?

"What are you?" he repeated his question. "The Silent Lady?" he mimicked her words. "Well, you're not very silent right now, are you? You're, uh, speaking to me, and I'm hearing you. Unless I'm the only one hearing you...and seeing you."

Coltyn removed his hat now and ran a hand through his hair. Then, without hesitation, he tossed his hat at the girl and, just as he had expected would happen - yet, feared would happen - it went right through her!

"Oh, petch." he moaned.

Elaine just stood there and watched the confused man. She raised one of her eyebrows. Again a fool. She wanted to move but as Coltyn throw his hat at Elaine she stopped. She didn't take that likely. She was a bit annoyed. She looked back kneeled down and picked up the hat. With the help of her soulmist she pushed into his face. "That wasn't very nice... How do you feel if somebody throws something at you... through you?"

She again looked in. She wanted to go inside. But then that man was about to go mad. She should comfort him a bit. Maybe? Nono Elaine wouldn't do that but she was really curious. She looked up at the man and whispered to him. "I'm a ghost? And yes I'm The Silent Lady... They called me like that.. and are you okay human? You are even weirder than your kind is. And once again are you working here with that... other human? I want to go inside."

And without hesitation she walked to the door. She could see it now. A woman who was pretty crazy and some art works. She was amazed. She materialized herself and went right in. She didn't worry that the woman will see her. Coltyn already did so it didn't matter for her right now. She was looking at the pictures. It was beautiful."Even I don't like you mortals. You can do wonderful arts..."

"I'm sorry," Coltyn moaned, feeling more than a little foolish for having done what he had just done, but then as she picked up his hat and tossed it back as his head, he felt a sudden pang of...fear?

Yes, it was fear that instantly replaced his foolish mood. Fear of suddenly knowing that she was a force to be reckoned with. She could move things. She could project them. She could...go inside the shop without being welcomed? Oh petch!

"No! Don't go in there!" he called out to her, immediately wondering how Rajmatta would react to such a vision. "Please. Come back outside," he begged as she stood just inside the doorway, looking at a few of the paintings he had brought down from the gallery on the second floor. "I said I was sorry. There's no need to bother anyone else. Right?"

The Ravokian moved closer now, against his better judgment and the strong desire to run in the opposite direction at full tilt.

"Come outside and tell me your story. I want to hear more about why you are called The Silent Lady. Who gave you that name? Please, I will do anything you want...just...come outside and talk."

Really, Coltyn? Really? he thought to himself, knowing all too well that his words sounded rather hollow and, well, somewhat silly, but perhaps, just perhaps, she enjoyed telling her tale. He was willing to listen. Sure he was.

OOCOh my goodness..I feel so very bad for the delay! Sorry! *hugs*

She was still gazing at the picture not even giving any thoughts if others will see her. Then she heard how Coltyn was begging to her. She didn't understand what was his problem, she was dead afterall, only a ghost. "You know yelling in just to bring me out won't work. I'm not the one who is bothering but your calling."

She pointed it out and was looking around if anybody is around. She could only see Rajmatta who was working but she was turning around to see what the heck is going on. Elaine quickly became invisible and for the man's wish she came out from the building. She become visible again and looked up at the man."I know humans are not the smartest but what's in your mind? There could be nothing wrong if you wouldn't call me out..." She was whispering and didn't get why Coltyn was freaked out.

"Anyway why did you worry? Perhaps I don't look the most... friendlist thing in this world but I don't destroy arts. "She had not motivation for it. Not even to fight with humans. Sometimes she felt it was so unreasonable. She tried and tried to make humans' life miserable but she didn't feel statisfied at all. She looked up to the man. Despite he was confused and Elaine didn't find him very smart, he was a good looking man. "I'm not sure if you really want to know my origins, but only me introduced myself to you. So... What's your name? "
