Fallon held the look of the nuit in her sight, eyes brought down to a single point upon her. Emotions changed, ebbing out and in as a sense of understanding once more consumed. Isolde seem to lighten, as if a weight that had once been placed upon her shoulders had finally been lifted, and the seed of life or more over courage had rooted itself. She watched the hands twitch, the curling of the lips as a sense of peace was formed. Those eyes looked up at Fallon, and in return she gave a simple nod and extended her hand as if to shake.
“What will I do now?” she said picking up the cold fingers in a gloved hand “I’ll do what I always do. Find a way to survive.” She cupped the nuit’s between hers, a gentle pat against them before they were lowered once more. Her eyes however, looking down upon the cool flesh as she continued “Maybe that sounds strange to you, but that’s what I’m going to do. Survive. And I’ll make sure those who I need to protect also survive. And at present there’s only one way I can get better at protecting them, and that is through learning and getting stronger. I’ll just have to become a good enough shield.”
Metaphorically of course. In reality, Fallon had no idea what she was going to do. But staying cooped up in one place would never help, along with trying to ignore the fact. She still had time to prepare, even if it was just a single day the squire still had time. Every moment was vital, and every moment would spur her onwards. Her back turned to the Nuit as once more she looked upon the front “If there is anything you can do… well… that is for you to decide. I would not like to force my own worries upon you, nor for me to be of any immediate concern. This is after all a storm that I need to face, and not one that you need to be dragged into…” Fallon’s lips pursed with thought “But there is one thing you can do. It is relatively simple… just… keep an eye out for a boy by the name of Vick will you?” The eyes glanced over her shoulder back at the nuit, before looking forward once more “But above all that… well... don’t be afraid to grow.”
Fingers drummed upon the pew in front, before once more she spurred herself into action. It was time to make a move, for the time for standing around was over “I best be making a move. There is after all no time like the present.” With that, Fallon began to slide herself out of the row of pews, and slowly begun walking her way down the aisle. If Isolde spoke, then the squire would indeed turn and stop to listen, for listening was what she did best. And at least to her, there was nothing else in need of discussion.
