Character Concept
Greatest Personal Flaw: Euthisa always feels like she has to be attached to somebody. She doesn't mind spending time alone, for she does it quite often and enjoys her solitude, but emotionally and relationship-wise, it bothers her if she isn't connected to someone.
Best Personal Quality: Loyalty. Euthisa is very loyal to those close to her. Once she's your friend, she's your friend for life, unless you really hurt her. One can depend on her to always keep her word and always be there when she's needed. She makes an excellent ally and tends to sometimes be a nasty enemy.
Desires: Euthisa desires not much more than to love and be loved in return. She just wants to live the rest of her life happy with someone she cares about. Love means a lot to her, and she vows to find and keep it one day. As well, she desires to please her people with her place in life and desires to rise in ranks among her peers. Accomplishment means a lot to her as well.
Fears: Euthisa fears that she will spend the rest of her days alone. Loneliness is not a welcomed feeling to her and she dreads it greatly. Euthisa also fears failure in defending those around her and her friends when they need it, failure to reach her goals and dreams, and failure to please her peers with her place in life.

Euthisa likes true-traditions. The true qualities possessed by others. Honesty, responsibility, respect, open-mindedness, and those who are just themselves at all times. She is also a very big fan of the night. Playing into the hopeless romantic within her, she loves to just sit and listen to the night and its many different sounds. She loves to just sit and stare at the moon and the stars, though the stars are her absolute favorite. There is something about them that calms her. They make all her troubles go away. She is at peace.
Dislikes: Egotistical people, heartache/pain/misfortune, chaos/disorder, people with no ambition.
Euthisa has a strong dislike for fake people. People who conform to the standards of others. She strongly believes in originality and individuality when possible, and hates being forced to conform or be like others besides those standards she was raised in. She absolutely hates liars and if you lie to her, there's no coming back from it. There are very few exceptions to this ruling.
Strengths: Getting along with everyone, multitasking, expression.
Honesty is a seeming strength for Euthisa. She is always honest, usually bluntly so, and isn't afraid to tell it like it is. She's also very open about everything. Herself, her life, you name it, she'll be happy to tell you all about it. She also has an automatic instinct to protect those around her, mainly her friends. If something is threatening them, she is quick to go into defense mode and dispose of the threat by any means possible. The fight to do so excites her.
Weaknesses: Attachment, uncontrolled emotions, trust, forgiveness, non-grudging, children.
Euthisa attaches to people too easily and this usually gets her hurt. Her emotions are tied into everything she does and almost always get in the way. She trusts people far too easily and always gets hurt because of it. In turn, Euthisa forgives too quickly/easily, and doesn't usually hold grudges, and sometimes they're necessary. Children are a weakness for her as well. She has a soft spot for them and will protect any child over herself, any day. On the other hand, many tell her she would make a great mother because of this trait.
Overall Personality: Euthisa is a sweetheart. She's friendly to everyone and doesn't judge a book by its cover. She "judges" people based on their actions, only after fully understanding them, and how they present/carry themselves. She respects people who take care of themselves and care about how they come off to others. Although it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, a motto Euthisa follows, she does care how she appears to people. She never wants to be misconstrued as something/someone else than who she really is. As much as she hates people, because they're cruel, dishonest, and greedy, she loves having friends and spending time with them, and making new ones. She's extremely ambitious and believes in herself, and if someone tells her she can't or won't do something... They better get ready to sit back and watch her do it... For herself, but also just to spite whoever put her down. She loves proving people wrong.
Euthisa has her moments depending on the situation, but overall isn't shy. She's very open and comfortable with people, unless she gets a bad vibe from them. She has an almost sixth sense about people. She can never pinpoint it until it makes itself known, but if something is off (morally or something along those lines) about someone, she gets that feeling and will be mentally skeptical of them until she figures out the problem. She never lets it be known to anyone when this happens. She keeps it to herself. Euthisa is extremely open about her emotions and expressing herself. She is like this by nature, and is also very insightful. Euthisa is very outspoken and blunt, and very straight forward with everyone. She hates when people beat around the bush with her, and so she makes a point of not doing so herself. The downside to this though, is that she can sometimes be hot-tempered and this usually causes problems. Euthisa is commonly bold and almost always adventurous and curious. She develops feelings for others and falls for them far too easily, and she's been hurt a lot in life because of it. She's always willing to lend a helping hand or a word of advice, even to strangers if they need it, and she delights in doing so. She wants to see people, especially those close to her, happy.
She gets along very very well with people, and can make friends in any crowd. Euthisa hates labels, cliches, traditions, and categories, and does all she can to avoid them and break them. She very strongly believes in originality and being your own person no matter what world you live in. Being different isn't a bad thing and Euthisa takes pride in not conforming to everyone else's standards, though she makes sure she knows her place and follows the way of her people.
Character History
Birth to Creation (512 AV)
Euthisa was raised by her mother, a strong independent woman who found serenity in the written word of authors and her ancestors. A Chiet woman, she worked as a librarian for she found comfort and peace in the pages of the many books. She was plenty social among her fellow Inartans, and always lended a helping hand where it was needed. She was always polite to everyone she met, including the Dek, who are often mistreated. She showed them kindness for their problems are misfortunes they cannot help. She raised Euthisa in this same manner, with the same love for books and reading. Her mother also played fiddle in her free time, a hobby Euthisa has picked up from time to time, and one day wants to dive into. Euthisa was also taught archery as she got older, something she enjoyed and was reasonably good at. They lived a peaceful life together, and then Euthisa was sent to the youth section to learn to be on her own.
In the youth section of the city, Euthisa made sure not to forget the teachings of her mother. She remained kind to everyone she met, helped anyone who needed it, did well in her classes, and in her free time, read books and practiced archery. She never complained of any Bendi assignment she was given, and completed all to the best of her ability. A goal in life for Euthisa was to rise through the caste system, so she always tried to impress/please anyone who may be watching. Having run across teens practicing bladed fighting in the streets, Euthisa studied them when she could. Bladed fighting fascinated her, and it was a skill she hoped to learn one day. Fearful that taking place in the fighting would ruin her good standing of behavior, Euthisa kept mental notes and practiced remembered movements in private, alone. She continued to dabble in playing the fiddle as well, difficult seeing has her mother was her only formal teacher; now she tries to teach herself. Her mother gave her own fiddle, one that had been passed down from her grandmother and mother to her, and now to Euthisa.
When Euthisa turned fifteen, an elder librarian brought her to the library, to teach her the ways of the books. The librarian taught her to organize the books, the verbal art of storytelling and reciting poetry, and introduced her to researching. He also furthered her vocabulary and writing skills. The love Euthisa already had for the written word as a child grew abundantly, for she believes that the written word holds knowledge, and knowledge is power.
Now twenty, Euthisa continues her work in the library, practicing archery with a longbow, some private practice of bladed fighting, and trying to further her fiddle skills. She lives in the Darniva Commonrooms and hopes one day to impress an artisan to teach her their craft, and allow her to rise among her people.

Useful Facts To Know About Her
Mood You'll Usually Find Her In: Thoughtful/Deep. Whether she's pondering the workings of her life, mulling over recent events, observing Nature, studying the people around her, or anything else really, her thoughts and emotions are deep within her. While the road to her heart isn't that extravagantly lengthy, the road to her soul seems to never end, and her soul is where her thoughts and feelings come from.
Her Favorite Color: Euthisa has a few favorite colors, all for different reasons.
1) Black. While black is not technically a color, and it's a shade, Euthisa finds elegance, poise, mystery, and a sense of royalty in the color black.
2) Red. Euthisa has always liked red. Black and red have been her two favorite colors ever since she was young. She finds warmth, comfort, and even a sense of danger in the color red.
3) Green. Euthisa was always more attached to Nature than she was the rest of the world and humanity, but this attachment grew deeper as she grew older. She appreciates and respects Nature and its natural way of life. She finds peace, sophistication, authenticism, and honesty in the color green.
4) White. Euthisa loves the color white. While it too is a shade and not a color, this doesn't matter to her. White is a recent addition to her favorite colors list, and it was put there for her love of the moon, the stars, and white outfits. The moon and the stars, particularly the stars, deeply soothe Euthisa and reach her in the darkest places of her being. White outfits also appeal to her, for they seem to give the wearer a natural "glow" and white accents other colors; supports them. She discovers happiness, purity, and a Goddess-like uplifting in the color white.
5) Blue. Naturally, being an Inartan, Euthisa loves the color blue, particularly sky blue. She's a proud member of a race who spends most of their time in the sky, soaring high above the world and leaving its troubles on the ground below. Blue accents her green eyes and burgundy hair well, looks great with an earthy tone like brown, and matches the vast open sky above. Euthisa finds longing, relaxation, and freedom in the color blue.
Her Favorite Form of Entertainment
Music, poetry, and plays.
1) Music. Euthisa is addicted to it. All kinds suit her, whether it's rhythmic and fast paced, or slower and more tuned to the soul, or anything in between. Music reaches into Euthisa and warms her heart. It also helps that she is a growing musician herself and her family heirloom is a fiddle.
2) Poetry. Poetry is the sure-fire way into Euthisa's heart and soul. Poetry will win her over in almost every circumstance, and when Euthisa hears poetry she becomes very emotional and feels as though the words, in some way or another, were read right off the pages of her heart. She finds some way to relate to every poem she's ever heard, and poems speaking of heartache reach deeper inside her than anything, or anyone, else has ever been able to before. She is steadily increasing her own poetry writing skills, and hopes one day that her words have the effect on others that they do on her.
3) Plays. Plays aren't exactly a favorite form of entertainment for Euthisa, but she enjoys them nonetheless. She is sometimes more fascinated by the structure a performed play is built on, rather than by the play's content itself. Something just twinges Euthisa's mind while watching actors/actresses perform. |
