OPETTE Appearance Race: Akvatari Gender: Female Age: 21 Birthday: 13, Spring, 892 Birthplace: Abura Appearance: Opette measures a full five feet and seven inches, from the tip of her tail to the top of her head. Like all Akvatari, Opette's most distinguishing features are that instead of a pair of legs she instead has the lower body of a seal and what can only be described butterfly wings on her back. Her smooth tail is a startling sky blue. Her wings are a vibrant orange, accented by black and speckled with white dots. Opette's skin is evenly tanned, evidence of her long hours spent sitting in the sun and composing poems. Her hair is long, wispy, and a golden, almost honey color. Rarely does she put it up and much prefers to keep it messy and unkept. Her eyes are pale green, almond shaped and somewhat sleepy looking, showing off Opette's generally laid-back and carefree demeanor. The part of her body that resembles a human is toned and muscled if a bit on the flat side as far as the chest area goes. Her hands are somewhat blistered and calloused from writing and sculpting and often one can expect to see them bandaged after Opette has spent a particularly long time writing. As custom for Akvatari, Opette's only piece of clothing is the wide strip of black cloth around her upper torso, although Opette herself often complains about how restraining it is, and sometimes will go completely without it without a care as to how such a thing may appear to others. Character Concept Opette is an extremely laid-back and indifferent Akvatari, in fact if she shows any interest in anything at all, it's in her writing. Opette loves her poetry. Even her name is an anagram of Poet , with an added t and e for "poetic effect". Her poems' subjects range from morbid, to blissfully melancholy. Her secondary interest is sculpting, a mere "hobby" as she dubs it. Although this hobby has kept her funded, regular trips to Zeltiva are made to sell off her latest statue. All earnings earned from that particular sale go into buying supplies for yet another sculpture. Her daily routine is simply, write most of the day, sculpt the rest, taking a two breaks for meals. She is quite fond of the sunshine, and one will most often expect to find her sitting in the sun while she's sculpting or composing her next poem. Opette prefers flying to swimming, although she is skilled at both as most Akvatari are, but trips are usually taken through the air if she can manage it. When talking with strangers she has a tendency to over use long words and metaphors making it incredibly difficult to keep up with what she is saying. However she is less cruel if she actually knows the person, and will make an effort to simplify things for them. Opette is a self-proclaimed pacifist, and does not believe in using physical violence as a solution to problems. She also has absolutely no faith in the gods, and worships nothing, finding praying and bowing down to deities "just silly". Character History To be added to at a later date...
