The barmaid immediately left the table filled with ragtag bunch of misfits to check for Cou's order, silently thanking the pale-haired young man and the dark-haired woman for saving her mental faculty.

Kouri still played around with the doll, talking to it as if it was alive. It was alive though... just not in a sense of truly being alive. "So, Lily lily~ What's your favorite hobby? Ehehehe~ Can you fly? I thought it would be kind of hard to move around with that tiny body of yours~ But that only makes you look so much cuuuuuuuter~♥" She put Lily on the table and played around with her arms, giggling all the way.

She didn't pay any attention to what Cou and Leda was talking about, but... when the stuttering female voice resounded in her ethereal eardrums, Kouri's eyes perked up to see who in the name of Morwen talked like that. !? Kour's eyes widen in surprise when she saw this... "woman". She looked like a woman with dark hair, dull blue eyes, smudging around her eyes and mouth... and... Wha!? when she moved her lips to speak, Kouri could saw a glimpse of blackness inside it, unlike the usual red most humans have. If this woman was a human...

The woman introduced herself as Isolde, Kouri didn't care about that because of the fear quickly building inside her. She stopped playing with Lily and locked her gaze at the woman, trying to watch every move. She didn't know why, but Kouri had the gut feeling this woman was not... normal and dangerous. Kouri edged closer to Cou, seeking safety by his presence. "U...uuuu..." She whimpered.

Ehehehehahahaha~ Now now... this is bad, isn't it? Let me just take care of it... A voice resounded in her head. It's the insane part of Kouri acting as a sort of mental defense, whenever Kouri felt sufficient fear, depression, frustration, or anger; this side would take over. It was like the complete opposite of the gentle, kind, and timid girl. This change was indicated by the narrowing of her pupils until it resembled a snake more than a human and the disappearance of her hair ribbons followed by her very long ethereal hair spreading out, acting as a body-size white cobra hood.

"Ehehehe.... hahahahaha!" She giggled with a haunting sadistic tone and stared at Isolde. "Ehehehe... I don't know who you are, but I don't like you... so..." Kouri vanished from her location and instantly appeared right in front of the woman, her body in a prone position, occupying the table. In her materialized state, she crashed her forehead with the woman's forehead, facing off her reptilian glowing crimson eyes with the woman's dull blue.

"Go... away..."

OOCNow this is getting interesting! :P Your Nuit complexions spooked Kouri, Isolde.

A ghost getting spooked, that's ironic.

[Rearing Stallion] Lunchtime!!!

Postby Isolde Seibold on June 5th, 2013, 2:11 pm

“Greetings to you, Lady Isolade. I’m Coud Von Voltaire, you may call me Cou if you wish. This doll is more of automation. So it’s not a homunculus I’m afraid. However, I do wish to create one in the future.”

The Nuit's eyes focused on Cou, surprised. He had called her 'Lady,' a title she had only worn during play as a child in the Outpost, and he had answered her question without any hesitation. Perhaps he didn't know, or didn't care that she was a Nuit. Her mind was going at hyperspeed, jumping to conclusions, the better to get the information and talk to Cou and get out of here, and away from the girl. Okay, so if he didn't know/didn't care then... Then that meant-- well, maybe-- just maybe he would be willing to help her.

The Nuit's hope soared for a moment, her courage bolstered, and she started to ask, before she grew too timid and was unable to force out the words, "So... y-you made it? D-Do you th-think y-you c-could--" Teach me, she wanted to say, but at that moment something cold slammed into her forehead, causing her to lurch back a step, shocked eyes turning forward and immediately met by-- by the ghost girl's, blazing red and reptilian-slitted, and the only reason the Nuit didn't scream or run was because she was frozen in place.

"Go... away..."

The voice was a roar, loud and angry and threatening. Isolde wanted to drop her eyes, wanted to run, but she was transfixed with fear. She began trembling all over. Her forehead was cool and smarting where the ghost had touched her; she put a hand up to it, the movement jerking and dazed. Distantly shouts came to her ears. The few others in the Stallion --including the barmaid-- had noticed the confrontation, and were reacting loudly. Isolde couldn't tell if they were running away or running to help or simply running in circles, driven senseless by fear. She only knew that she was in danger, and coming over had been a mistake. And it was time to leave, as the ghost had ordered, or she simply wouldn't live to see another day.

If only she could get her feet to work.

Step back. Step back. Step back! Come'on, do it! And finally, with enough mental urging, the Nuit's feet began to obey. Wobbling on trembling knees, eyes fixed on the ghost girl, the Nuit stumblingly tried to retreat. It was slow going. Not because she didn't want to go. Yes, she wanted to go. In fact, she wanted to go now. If she had had the ability, she would have been out of Syliras by now, perhaps safely on a ship --despite not liking ships-- to a foreign land. Anything was better than this. And actually, that sounded good right now. Positively great. It was the best idea she had ever had. Yes, she needed to put a whole lot of distance between her and this monster.

But her feet simply would not move. Was it because she was so terrified, or because she had come over with a mission locked in mind? She had told herself to come over and talk to Coud and get information on the dolls and just do it, no matter the fear. And here she was, unable to properly leave, and unable to properly stay, blundering slowly, slowly away. Go, feet, move!

The eerie woman named Isode spoke back to Cou. Her voice was stuttering like before, but by the look in her eyes she was trying her best to make her voice sound clear. As if she was determined to be heard. However, her voice was soon cut off when the ghostly apparition collided foreheads with her.

“Kouri?!” Cou’s voice blurted out as he rose from his chair.

Kouri then yelled at Isode, causing her to tremble in fear. Cou didn’t know what was going on, but he wasn’t a fan of conflicts with no meaning. Cou simple gave Kouri a cold stare with his blue eyes, like a brother scolding his sister for doing something inappropriate. Cou noticed that people around the tavern were staring at the commotion; some even panicked.

“Please cease this this unnecessary act of violence.” Cou said, holding a stern tone. However, Isode look as if she was making a getaway, or at least attempting to.

Cou preformed a small puppeteer’s gesture and the doll responded. ‘Lily’ waddled to the corner of the table and climbed down one of the legs and waddled back over to Cou’s feet and went on standby mode, mimicking a lifeless doll.

“With everyone panicking like this, I’m sure trouble will follow.” Cou thought, staring at the incident that was happening before him.

Cou needed to restore peace somehow, but he didn’t know how to achieve that. Cou would never use violence to solve a problem. Cou tried thinking on his feet, but the only thing that came to mind is ‘words’. Cou wasn’t sure is speaking would calm everything down, but it was worth a shot. As everyone in the tavern ran about like headless chickens Cou took a deep breath in and prepared for whatever words he spewed out.

“Lady Kouri, please cease this meaningless conflict. There is no reason to do think. You’re a good girl, aren’t you lady Kouri?” Cou said, trying to reach Kouri’s good nature.

Cou could feel the cold atmosphere that Kouri was making. Cou had come to the conclusion that Kouri had two faces, one was polite and happy and the other violent and full of rage. However, he wasn’t certain and it’s something that he wasn’t going to ask about.

OOCThis should be Kouri's last post for the thread. :)

Please continue on both of you. :D

"........." Kouri kept staring murderously to the Nuit in front of her. She was trembling and panicking and seemed to be frozen in fear. This was not good, Kouri wanted her to scram away from here; not freezing up like this. A tendril then jutted out from her back and picked up an eating knife on the table, she was about to up the ante by using physical violence. A stab in the eye or two would sure to drive this undead away.

"Grrrr-!" Kouri's psychotic rage was temporarily cut when she hear Coud calling her name in surprise. She then heard his commanding stern tone, obviously telling her to cease her act. "....." Kouri looked behind Isolde and found quite a lot of people were staring at them. Tch... She groaned in her mind, why couldn't people leave her murdering business alone or something? It's not like the female in front of her was a human.

A good girl? Yes, I'm a good girl... good girls kill bad girls... and she is a bad girl... Kouri's insane twisted logic justified her actions. She jerked her head to Cou, locking her crimson red with his icy blue. "Yes, I'm a good girl..." She slowly turned her head back to the Nuit and spoke an ultimatum. "I'll let you go for now... but if we meet again. I will..." She put her lips at point-blank range near the woman's left hear, her demonic whisper resounded in the Nuit's dead eardrums. "kill you..."

And with that, she dropped the eating knife and it fell to the stone floor with a clang. "......" Kouri gazed at the crowd surrounding them and hissed once before launching herself upwards, phasing through the celing and was gone from the tavern.

[Rearing Stallion] Lunchtime!!!

Postby Isolde Seibold on June 7th, 2013, 8:45 am

The knife dropped to the floor, the ghost vanished through the ceiling, and Isolde's legs couldn't stand to hold her up for a tick more. The Nuit wobbled to an open seat at Cou's table and plopped into it, almost missing it completely. Luckily, she managed to cling to the table and keep herself from completely collapsing. Then it was simple enough to get actually up and onto the chair. Once properly seated, the Nuit leaned forward and placed both elbows on the tabletop, resting her head in her hands with her eyes cast downward and quivering and shaking as if she had never seen the sun. The ghost girl's final promise, whispered straight into her ear, kept echoing itself over and over in her head, like a thousand malicious whispers. The Nuit's breathing was harsh and loud. The rest of the Stallion had gone silent, though it wouldn't be long before conversation would be turned up to a dull roar, thanks to the unexpected excitement.

After a chime or two the Nuit managed to speak, though she remained in the same position and didn't look up. "Th-Thank you, sir, f-for your-- your e-efforts in trying to st-stop the girl. I don't kn-know what I-- I would have d-done had sh-she--" The Nuit abruptly cut herself off, unable to finish that particular sentence, and it was a couple ticks before she went on. "I-- I-- don't want to b-bother you further. I-I'm sorry to have c-caused such a-- a d-disruption. I pr-promise I'll leave i-if you wish." It seemed to have been a great effort for the Nuit to speak. Immediately after the words left her mouth her lips pressed together tightly, her fingers balling into fists crushed so tight that the knuckles stood out white even against her deathly pale skin. After another chime she was finally able to look up at Coud, though only for a glance. Perhaps to make certain that he was still there, and that he was alright. Just as she was alright. She had to keep telling herself the danger had passed. The only problem was that she couldn't get the ghost's haunting words out of her head.

OOCGet it? Haunting... ^^' Why not a weak pun after all that angst?
