It had taken many weeks to get to the forest from Syka and many more to locate the area where The Spires was hidden, but finally she was able to smell the traces of men passing through the forest and had even found a foot print or two. Tired, hungry, and still hurting from her recent encounter with one of the wild creatures of the forest, she slowly makes her way through the underbrush following the tracks of men until the scent grew stronger and stronger. The trail came to the base of a large tree which was surrounded by foliage. Curious, she follows the scents and slowly peeks through the foliage to find a half hidden staircase leading up into the canopy.
Somewhat frightened and unsure, she cautiously makes her way up the staircase, one step at a time, making sure to hug the trunk of the tree so that she would not be so easily noticed should anyone decide to come down the stairs. As she climbs higher and higher, new scents begin to waft down towards her; the scent of food, drink, and many different kinds of people. She could smell humans, Kelvics, & others that she could not recognize. Continuing slowly, she finally reaches the top and peeks around the trunk of the tree and out over a wooden walkway, thankful that no one had decided to climb down the stairs as she had made her way up them.
She could see a building nearby that seemed quite busy and filled with men and women alike. They seemed to be having fun.. drinking, smoking, and eating what looked to be very delicious meals of several kinds. Hunger gnawing at her since she had failed to catch anything recently because of her injury, she slowly and cautious made her way to what she now recognized as a tavern. She looks up at the sign above the door with the words Garth's Rest written upon it, but she can't read the first word.. although she does recognize the word Rest which gives her some relief. Not wanting to waste time trying to figure out the first word, she focuses on staying out of sight as she silently sneaks into the crowded room, keeping as close to the wall as possible and hiding under tables or chairs where she can without getting kicked or stepped on.
