65th of Summer, 512 AV Syliras Domain - Silkwater Lake "I hate this." Snowe looked up at his master and whimpered. The Inganu Deepwoods walked ahead and sniffed curiously at the ground. "What, are you tired?" the young blonde patted the canine on the head, "I suppose not. You're not even panting." "Ugh, I believe it's been a bell," she glanced over at the sky and inspected the placement of the sun. "Barely," she added with an exasperated mumble. Sigrun turned and gazed over at the city of Syliras and her features softened. She wasn't far enough to see the place at a considerable distance, but even so, the view was positively breathtaking. The enormous castle was a brilliant testament to the many wondrous possibilities of architecture. The young blonde wondered if anything just as majestic could be built in this era. The view was positively picturesque; with the hilly fields and forests framing the city and reflecting its success in agriculture. Snowe sat down next to his owner's feet, seemingly admiring the view as well. "Almost makes you regret hating the hike to Silkwater," the young girl sighed with a satisfied grin. "Alright! Well, let's not get distracted," she patted the canine's back and it immediately stood up and began to trot off towards the right direction, "the Cobalt Mountains are beautiful too." After yet another bell, Sigrun's legs were beginning to feel sore, and with each heavy step she took, they throbbed and ached. A piercing sensation began to evade the heels of her feet and started to pinch at her toes as well. "I believe it's time for a rest?" the blonde turned to Snowe, who was finally panting. The young girl perched herself upon a soft spot in the grass and laid herself down. With her eyes gazing up to the sky, she gave out a satisfactory sigh of relief as the weight of her feet no longer rested on the ground. Snowe curled up beside his master and rested his head on her stomach, the exact same position he makes when they go to sleep back at the apartment. Sigrun brought out her arm and rested it around the canine, her fingers brushing his head affectionately, and began to hum a soft tune. |
