"I hate this."

Snowe looked up at his master and whimpered. The Inganu Deepwoods walked ahead and sniffed curiously at the ground. "What, are you tired?" the young blonde patted the canine on the head, "I suppose not. You're not even panting."

"Ugh, I believe it's been a bell," she glanced over at the sky and inspected the placement of the sun. "Barely," she added with an exasperated mumble. Sigrun turned and gazed over at the city of Syliras and her features softened.

She wasn't far enough to see the place at a considerable distance, but even so, the view was positively breathtaking. The enormous castle was a brilliant testament to the many wondrous possibilities of architecture. The young blonde wondered if anything just as majestic could be built in this era. The view was positively picturesque; with the hilly fields and forests framing the city and reflecting its success in agriculture.

Snowe sat down next to his owner's feet, seemingly admiring the view as well. "Almost makes you regret hating the hike to Silkwater," the young girl sighed with a satisfied grin.

"Alright! Well, let's not get distracted," she patted the canine's back and it immediately stood up and began to trot off towards the right direction, "the Cobalt Mountains are beautiful too."

After yet another bell, Sigrun's legs were beginning to feel sore, and with each heavy step she took, they throbbed and ached. A piercing sensation began to evade the heels of her feet and started to pinch at her toes as well.

"I believe it's time for a rest?" the blonde turned to Snowe, who was finally panting.

The young girl perched herself upon a soft spot in the grass and laid herself down. With her eyes gazing up to the sky, she gave out a satisfactory sigh of relief as the weight of her feet no longer rested on the ground. Snowe curled up beside his master and rested his head on her stomach, the exact same position he makes when they go to sleep back at the apartment.

Sigrun brought out her arm and rested it around the canine, her fingers brushing his head affectionately, and began to hum a soft tune.

[Silkwater Lake] A Horrible Hike

Ethen was riding his horse with the bare minimum for the horse. Ethen was wearing his armor with a greatsword which he called Bůhvrah which was in a Scabbard and attached to the back a weapon harness. The sword and sheath was not alone and had also 15 crossbow bolts which was for the heavy crossbow that was tied to the horse. Ethen ridden for a couple of miles and come along a beautiful lake which followed seeing a maiden with a dog lying on the ground. "Maybe the woman is injured or worst" thought Ethen. Ethen lifted his leg over the flank of the horse and jump down from it and tied it to a tree. Ethen approach the woman with warning look to the dog. "Maybe the dog cause the harm on the woman" thought Ethen. "Madam are you okay?" Asked Ethen.

[Silkwater Lake] A Horrible Hike

Sigrun could hear a horse approaching, its galloping hooves digging into the grassy terrain. Snowe lifted his head and eyed the animal with a snarl, watching it carefully as it made its way towards a nearby tree. There was a young boy riding the beast.

"Hm?" the young blonde turned over and gazed at the agitated canine, "what is it, not just your average knight?"

She'd assumed at first, that it was just a Syliran knight passing by, doing his rounds. However, by her dog's reaction, it didn't seem to be so. Sigrun looked up and eyed the young boy just as he'd gotten off his horse, approaching them rather warily. He was armed.

The young girl slowly reached for her cutlass, holding onto its hilt rather tightly as he closed in on them. Snowe sat up and sat in front of his master, assuming a defensive stance as Sigrun sat up and eyed the stranger standing before them.

"Madam, are you okay?"

Sigrun smirked. "How old do you think I am?"

She released her cutlass and placed a hand over Snowe's back, comforting the canine. The young man wasn't a threat after all, and in fact looked completely harmless.

"I am no 'madam', nor am I any 'ma'am', I am a 'miss'."

"And I am perfectly fine, thank you," she gave him a nod, "I don't see why I wouldn't be."

"I do apologies miss maiden but this is the wild and it quiet dangerous to nap in such a wide open space even with a strong companion such as your dog. Maybe to apologies, would you like me to ride you on my horse to place you are going?" Asked Ethen, showing his embarrassment on his face. "With the threat of bandits and monsters I had to think of the worst happen to this woman" thought Ethen.

"I do apologies miss maiden but this is the wild and it quiet dangerous to nap in such a wide open space even with a strong companion such as your dog. Maybe to apologies, would you like me to ride you on my horse to place you are going?"

"Ehmm..." Sigrun made an odd, high-pitched sound as she looked up at the young boy and furrowed her brows, "th-that's fine, really, thank you."

"Miss maiden," she thought humorously, "that's a new one."

Snowe placed himself on the young blonde's lap, resting his belly on her upper legs and splaying his paws out, looking like a furry white blanket. Sigrun patted the canine on the head and smirked.

"I'm quite fine here on my own, sight-seeing," she waggled her eyebrows at the last word of her sentence, chuckling to herself, "besides, I have this—"

She patted her sheathed cutlass hanging by her waist, "—to keep me company, as well."

Resting her hands over her dog, Sigrun eyed the young boy's horse. She'd never ridden one in a long time, even if she had the necessary equipment for it. It would be nice to learn and develop her skills for it, but she preferred not to have herself taught by a stranger.

"What brings you here, then? Are you Syliran?" she turned to him once more, "... and your name is...?"

"What brings you here, then? Are you Syliran?" Sigrun turned to Ethen once more, "... and your name is...?"

"My name is Ethen Calden, squire of the Syliran knights and yes and I'm from Syliras" Ethen said proudly. "And to avoid any more grammar laps on my end. What is your's and your fierce companion names? If you allow me to ask."

The quietness and calm of the place made Ethen on edge. Ethen keep looking around for any sudden movement. "This is why I don't like open spaces, to easy to be ambushed here."

"Mind if I go towards the tree" asked Ethen pointed to the lone tree near the lake. Then Ethen turned to the woman and said "Reason that I went here was to train. It should be unsurprising since squries spend every live moment training."

"My name is Ethen Calden, squire of the Syliran knights and yes and I'm from Syliras."

"Oh," the young blonde raised an eyebrow at him, "a squire, huh?"

Snowe raised his head up and gazed at the young boy. The canine seemed to be having the same thoughts as his master; they both saw a adolescent, the soft features of his childhood still lingering along his jawline and his shoulderblades, striving to become a Syliran Knight.

"What is so enticing about the knighthood that people are so driven to pursue it at such a young age?" Sigrun pondered, biting her lip.

"And to avoid any more grammar laps on my end. What is your's and your fierce companion names? If you allow me to ask."

"Dominic," she responded quickly, placing a hand over Snowe's head, "and this is Snowe."

The canine stuck his tongue out at the sound of his name, panting profusely from the warmth of Syna's light. Sigrun smirked, eyeing her companion fondly before turning to Ethen with a polite nod.

"Well, it was nice to meet you, Ethen Calden."

"Mind if I go towards the tree?" the young squire pointed towards a tall oak nearby. Sigrun glanced towards it and furrowed her brows. Snowe shifted towards the side until he was lying over his master's knees, instead. The canine closed its eyes and relaxed, showing no interest in the conversation that was going on between the people surrounding him.

"Reason that I went here was to train. It should be unsurprising since squires spend every live moment training."

The young blonde frowned. "That sounds genuinely unpleasant."

Sighing to herself, she laid back into the grass and stared at the blue skies above them, the clouds that cruised by vaguely mimmicking certain objects. She carefully eyed one in particular, as it was remarkably circular.

Just like a marble.

"I suppose you value your privacy," she mused, her eyes diverting towards him, "you prefer a patch of grass over the Antinuous Training Grounds?"

She waved her hand in the air. "Go right ahead."

Ethen sheathed his sword to it's full lethal size and started practice swings. Which Ethen stopped when he was asked by Dominic "you prefer a patch of grass over the Antinuous Training Grounds?" "Truly I love using a patch of grass. Specially if is a battlefield" which Ethen barked a laugh. Ethen when back to practice. Ethen thought "I hope to meet Dominic. Maybe even spar with her." Ethen's horse was nervously unsteady. "I know how you feel mate. I don't like being this open in the open as well" thought Ethen
