Hunger (Tallis Ishtari)

She watched him start the stove, sighing as a strike of lighting came through followed by thunder. The apartment room warmed as the stove got hotter and it felt nice, seeping into her fur and skin. She purred on the mattress, making the whole bed vibrant as she did. Her tail wagged, occasionally brushing up against Tallis. She looked out the window, the sky getting lit up and booming drum rolls followed.

Her nose smelt the food begin to cook and it twitched every so often. She flipped onto her back, belly in the air. Her front paws grabbed her back ones, playing with her own hands as a child would. She would also try to get her tail with her teeth if it ever came into her line of sight. Her ears flopped back, tongue sticking out as she played, the sound of thunder and the flashing of lights played in the background.

Hunger (Tallis Ishtari)

Postby Tallis Ishtari on June 8th, 2013, 5:08 pm

The meat sizzled when he put his steak on the stove. He would put hers on a little later so they would finish at the same time, hers would be raw on the inside. This meal would be special. It would be their first together in the apartment.

In the back of his mind he was wondering if they should move apartments or possibly move in with his family. The later was just a passing thought as his mother probably would not be accepting of it. To him it seemed that the slavers knew where they lived and even his current employers, the mob, knew where they lived. The later would always know.

As he gazed at Marx lying on her back in her animal form he could not resist. Softly with his hand he rubbed her belly. Psychologically it was an odd feeling but emotionally it felt right. “What do you think about moving apartments? I know this could use some work, but I can’t shake the feeling that we are being watched halve of the time.”

Her tail wagged and she barked happily as he rubbed her belly. When asked, she gave as much of a shrug as an animal could. It didn't really matter where she went, so long as she was with Tallis and he was safe.

Marx thought back on her job today. She didn't know how Tallis did it all these years. But she had thought about what they could do. It was a risky move, and it could mean that they would have to leave the city for at least a few seasons, but when they came back, they would be safe. She just hoped it would work and the mob people wouldn't get too mad.

Hunger (Tallis Ishtari)

Postby Tallis Ishtari on June 8th, 2013, 6:14 pm

He didn’t know what the bark meant other perhaps she was happy that he rubbed her belly. Smiling, he flipped his steak over and put hers on to sear it on both sides. There was so much to think about that he didn’t know where to begin. Maybe there was someplace safer they could go. As much as he loved his home city maybe it was time leave for longer than his previous two months he had gone underground. They didn’t have enough cash but to travel one city to the next and take up odd jobs here and there to make ends meet.

A flash of lightning lit up their tiny apartment. It was close enough to make him jump and then the clap of thunder was so close. It must have been by the docks on the north side. “Steaks are done!” He lifted hers slightly from the stove and looked at her unsure how she was going to eat it, in her present animal form or as a human.

She snapped it up with her muzzle, hardly taking any bites to swallow it. She gave out another bark before again she was a naked woman on his bed. She licked her lips "That was good." She grinned, patting her warm belly. She sat up, kissing him before sprawling back out, closing her eyes, letting herself feel the thunder roll across her.

Marx often spent tons of nights in the forest, alone in the grass while the rain poured down over her and the thunder performing it's orchestra of booms and cracks. The thing some didn't get that it wasn't about fighting a storm. You just had to lie down and let it happen. And boy did it happen. She opened her eyes again, looking to Tallis and smiling "I love you Tallis."

He had managed to finish two bits of his steak before she had gulped her down. But it was what she had said after she had changed that stunned him. There was no denying what he felt for her. He moved away from the stove and lay on the floor next to her. The view out the window was perfect for watching the storm roll into the city. Why he had never seen it before was beyond him.

“I love you too.” He said as he rolled over onto his side. “Let’s leave the city as soon as we have enough money to travel to another. What do you say?” He hoped that she would say yes. His father would understand but perhaps it would be best if they told no one where they went.

She nodded. Normally, she wouldn't need money. She had done fine without it for most of her life. But she understood that humans had certain needs when they traveled, so she was fine with that plan "Okay." Was her simple response. She always seemed so simple but wrapped up in that simplicity was a whole new kind of complexity. Sometimes, it was hard for humans to understand her, they didn't want to learn this whole new language that she was presenting to them. She thought that a lot of Kelvics must have felt like that.

But Tallis did. He wanted to learn and that excited her. From one day, which happened to be only a few nights ago, he was intrigued. He saw her and he wanted to know more. She could teach her bondmate so many things, and she would. Kelvics were made for humans. She was put on this earth to mean something. She wasn't sure her creator was ever aware of it, but she thought Kelvics were made to teach, to love, to show.

Hunger (Tallis Ishtari)

Postby Tallis Ishtari on June 9th, 2013, 1:44 am

He was excited again and the storm outside their window only added to the electricity in the air. “I would suppose you’re not up for planning. If… you ever had to plan before.” Not knowing much at all about Kelvics before he met Marx he wasn’t sure. “But where should we go first! Other than Syliras I’ve never been anywhere.”

Two quick lightning strikes lit up the sky and two consecutive thunder claps that rattled the building. He was not the superstitious kind but he wondered if the storm was some sort of omen. An omen that said their path was fraught with peril if they stayed where they were. He was certain now that their path would lead them to better enriched life if they left for a few seasons.

She shrugged "Nope. I've never really planned traveling out. It makes things more exciting that way." She hummed, listening to the rain again "But I'm thinking we should head south. Maybe even leave the Syliras region for a little while."

She cuddled up to him "We can think about that later though, once we have the money we need." She was due to fall asleep any moment now and his chest was just too comfortable. She smelt meat though. Marxander kissed his chest "Go finish eating. You'll need your strength." She climbed back onto the bed, curling up in the sheets.

Hunger (Tallis Ishtari)

Postby Tallis Ishtari on June 9th, 2013, 12:29 pm

His pulse quicken at Marx’s remarks. If he was going to have another go around with her in bed he would need strength. He lay on the floor just long enough to watch her climb into bed. A flash of lightning struck in the distance. “Further south than Syliras.” He muttered to himself in his head. He had no idea what was out there in the world. Practically members of Rovakian society had no inclination of ever leaving the city. They loved their life in the city on the lake. What made him so different that made him wanting to explore the outer boundaries of the world?

It was more than just the fact there were hostile forces in Ravok. He had always been the curious one. The one that asked the question, “what would happen if I did this?” Asking that question, or not asking enough questions, somehow always landing him into so sort of trouble.

With his head full of thoughts Tallis rose from the floor and finished his dinner. Another flash of light illuminated the room and at the same time a flashback played in his head. A man stood in the foreground of his memory. The only thing he could remember besides the man was the Temple. He shook the memory off when he slowly sauntered his way to the bed. Once he reached it he shed his pants and climbed into it.

Marx’s body felt warm, as he saddled up next to her and intertwining his legs with hers. He kissed her on the cheek and smiled softly. “I know this is probably a silly question… but have you ever danced in the rain before?”
