Timestamp: 8th Day of Summer, 513
The summer sun was nice and high in the clear, sapphire blue sky, and there was a small breeze blowing across the Sea of Grass, and through the tent city of Endrykus. This meant that there where a few people out and about, trading with each other, getting supplies that they needed, conducting business and, in Fox's case at least, getting in some training.
He stepped forward, his right foot making a slight crescent movement, in towards his left foot, and out and up again to be in front. His right hand moved forward and, with a double hip twist, his scimitar found it's mark on the training post, and he quickly stepped back and raised his shield as the arm of the training dummy swung at him. The blow glanced off his shield. Then, ducking under his shield, he brought his weapon up again, towards the target. He kept this drill up for a couple of minutes, and then sat on the low wall of logs to take a drink from his waterskin. There may have been a breeze, but it still didn't mean he should ignore his first lesson. "Always remember, no matter how cool the day, no matter if it's a cold night in the middle of winter, or a boiling hot summer day, always, ALWAYS keep drinking, especially while training. You don't want to get dehydrated and die. In Endrykus or the pavilion, it's not much of a threat, dying of the elements, but out there, in the Sea of Grass and beyond, you may not have the luxary of having someone nearby who can save you if you make that one, yet surpisingly common mistake" his father, Khanti, had told him when he was younger.
