[4th day of summer 513.a.v.]
[The Docks]
[Middle day]

Amelia was having a pleasant day, for the most part. Customers were having a nice flow for such an early bell. Nobody was too clingy and everyone seemed to be happy. Such a nice day indeed, too bad she didn’t have anyone to share it with. Sometimes, being in Ravok was far too lonely for her hearth. Almost a whole year spent in this city, and the best she had gotten was a man or two who were interested in her father, not her. ”A beautiful place, but nobody seems to enjoy my company…isn’t it a shame” it amused her just as much as saddened. Yet, there was little one could do. It toke her years to find a friend in Syliras, here, it will probably take a bit more, as she isn’t a local since birth…

One way or the other, she continued strolling around with a smile, not a sign of sadness or loneliness in her eyes. She laughed and continued approaching people, while carelessly shuffling her cards. Looking for someone who would want their fortune read. While deep down, her desire was to have her friend Tia here, her Konti friend who would never find a good life in Ravok. At best, she’d be a slave…Oh the complexity of this city, the complexity of life.

One more step, one more, a smile and a wink. Men seemed to like watching her, but the looks didn’t give her much. Actually, the looks made her feel even more out of her place, making her feel cheep, like she’d be a chunk of meat on display. ”Stop it! That’s what you wanted back in Syliras, to be loved by men…here you got it…enjoy” she cursed herself, becoming silent and thoughtful. Walking without looking.

oocsorry, my intros tend to be lacking

4th day of summer 513 AV
Assilsa's ruby red eyes stung from the sun, i thought i was used to the sun... She thought to her self. Assilsa was attempting to find her way back to the Silver Silver after a few bells ago she got horribly lost looking for the richer part of town. Assilsa rubbed her eyes and continued to walk, her eyes began to water making it hard to see. Walking half blind, Assilsa began to feel others around her. She paniced slightly but continue to walk.
"Umph!"
The sudden force of someone walking into her winded Assilsa as she landed on her butt. Blinking a few times Assilsa saw that the person she had run into was also on the ground, she began to crawl towards her but felt something on the ground, they felt like a card of somesort
"Im so sorry! I shouldnt be out im a danger when i cant see well! Let me help you pick up your cards!"
Assilsa apolgised whilst picking up the cards,
"im so sorry! I should stick to the shade!"

Still lost in thoughts, Amelia walked, shuffling her cards. The places got more and more crowded, and then, bump! Amelia felt nothing but a force against herself, before she fell onto the ground, hitting her backside a bit. However, it wasn’t the bottom that worried her, it was her cards that have dropped all around. She was about to start collecting all of them, but before she could manage, a person crawled near. She looked at her with her black eyes a bit widened in shock.

The woman, her voice was pleasant, but, the eyes, they looked red! Was she ill? Amelia couldn’t tell and it frightened her even more. The woman’s skin seemed to be paler than Amelia’s, no, sicker. Amelia’s skin was pale, but she appeared to be pinker. This one, seemed to be, purple? Like if she’d be dead. And those limbs…was she born like this? It looked as she was disproportioned. Of course, not enough to be called a freak of nature, but, to be known as unusual…defiantly!

”Oh!,..thank you, but no worries, It was my fault as well” Amelia explained as she joined in to the card collecting. It all happened fast and without a lot of notice, still, she could hear a few grumbling people walking past the girls who seemed to be blocking the roads that weren’t that big to begin with. ”Oh, but you shouldn’t! The sun is good for you, especially with your pale skin, looks like you have lived in a cave” Amelia chuckled a bit, but stopped as she thought it might have been rude to point out the deadly paleness.

”Thank you” Amelia smiled as she finally picked up the last card, and stretched out her own hand to the strange woman, wishing to retrieve her deck. ”pardon me for my rudeness, but, you don’t seem to be a local…” she added, while standing up.

Assilsa Looked up, her eyes sparkled with the tears that had caused her to run into this woman. Assilsa loved this woman’s hair and eyes, the darkness of her eyes seemed as though they would suck in someones soul. Assilsa handed the women her cards and then crossed her legs and looked into to the eyes of the strange human.
“Well I did live in a cave until now… Oh! Local? No I only arrived in town on the first day of Summer!”
Assilsa giggled and smiled up at the woman,
“I like the rocking and people and the water!”
she laughed again. The woman looked like a local herself, Assilsa guessed the woman stood at about 5 foot, maybe higher she couldn’t tell.
When Assilsa noticed that the woman had a look of concern or fear she couldn’t tell, she stopped smiling, her teeth, she had forgotten about her pointed teeth…

Amelia just politely accepted her cards back, putting the carefully in her pouch to make sure they are safe, making sure to recount the cards as she put them in, each arcana twice. The girl wouldn’t survive it if she had lost a single card. To her, these were far more important than just a deck of tarot. They were given to her by Tia, making them her most important possession.

”In a cave?” Amelia repeated, not sure was the woman joking or was she serious. Yet, the way she explained her arrival not so long ago. ”Oh, this city can be a little bit of a pain to understand in short periods of time” Amelia stated, as she remember her first visit to Ravok. The girl was lost and if it wasn’t for her father guiding her around, she’d probably be lost in no time. Above all else, it’s dangerous to be an outsider in Ravok, this woman had better chances if she would have someone to walk her around. ”How would you like it if I’d show you around? Maybe show you a few places? The city has a lot to offer, if you know where to look that is” Amelia explained as she offered the woman her hand.

”Amelia Cross” she said, with a smile. Amelia wasn’t really that interested in being nice and all. She had much more interest in finding out who was this woman and what was her race. She had some vogue memories of something similar to her, but nothing of a big matter. Then again, the biggest concern was most probably, the interesting nails she possessed, and the pointed teeth Amelia managed to catch a glimpse of. She was not human, that was for sure, but how come she was free? Usually none humans around the city aren’t loved.

Assilsa frowned deeply at Amelia’s hand. She seemed to be a very pretty woman, however, Assilsa didn’t know how strong Amelia might be. Could Assilsa trust Amelia to not break her hand..?
Her hand shaking madly, Assilsa reached up slowly and touched Amelia’s hand sightly before jerking back.
“I….uh…. I apologize, not meaning to um… offend but I have extremely weak bones and have had my hand broken by a simple handshake…”
Assilsa turned her head to watch a passer-by when she turned back the chains in her ears tinked loudly.
“Yes in a cave… however I did move away from home to live in a different cave!”
she laughed to herself, standing Assilsa remembered
“Oh! Im so sorry, with my anxiety I forgot! Nice to meet you Amelia Cross, I am Assilsa… Pronounced As-sil-sa not Ass-il-sa… of the Curare web… Sorry if sound uptight with the Pronunciation its just I don’t like having people put a another word for backside”

Amelia was surprised. Usually, when she would offer someone a hand to shake, or help to get up, they would accept it. This woman however frowned. She was really caught off by it and stood still for a few moments. Until she saw the girl’s shaking hand approached hers, sure that the girl will accept she pushed her hand a bit closer, but then she jerked it away violently. About to frown herself, due the impoliteness, but as the girl spoke, she couldn’t help but smile, a smile full of sympathy. ”I assure you, I’m not strong enough to brake anyone hand!” she chuckled a bit ”but the fact you are so weak boned, is sad, you should see a medic, maybe they could advice you some herbs to help your bones?”

”really, she lived in a cave…she can’t be human””sorry for my bluntness, but, what are you? Humans don’t live in caves and…your eyes…?” Amelia had a good guess of just how out of place a question as straight forward could be. None the less, she was interested in who she was, and what of all places an inhuman race was doing in Ravok. This was probably the most Racist place on the lands.

”web? That’s an unusual way to address to someone, so if I wanted to be formal , I should say Ms.Currier web? Doesn’t sound right” Amelia giggled a bit. The name itself was pretty, but that surname? Not quite. ”either way, do you want that little tour?” she reminded of her offer.

Assilsa looked at Amelias serious face and laughed,
“Ms Curare Web?” she laughed, “I am sorry! That was rude! Curare is my last name web is a word my race uses for family. Some people have been calling me a Widow, I think they mean like the spider? But as a pure blood I prefer Symenestra”Assilsa smiles at Amelia this time in attempt to show Amelia her pointed teeth. Assilsa hadn’t attempted to hide her race even though many said Ravok was not the place for non-humans, Assilsa had only just missed getting taken by the Slave traders by climbing onto the roves of a few buildings, she hoped she would never become one of those poor people.
“A tour? Really? I would love a tour! Only if it is no trouble I wouldn’t want to steal your time!”
Assilsa straightened her vest, Assilsa still hadn’t managed to go buy an undershirt, infact she had been heading that way when she had run into Amelia, so she was standing in the small pathways of the docks in her long pants tucked into her knee high boots and her vest. Sighing she straightened it again.

”really? That is so funny, so I’d be…Amelia of the Cross web?” she laughed, it sounded wrong, but funny ”so...your kind, the syme...nestra?” she tried to repeat the awfully hard to pronounce name of her race. She was more than sure she had done that wrong. But she gave her best. ”that’s sure a lot of spider references your people have, web and widow…interesting” Amelia smiled. Funny, but since she has been in Ravok, her instincts of a racist have gotten smaller and smaller. Soon enough, she won’t care what is standing before her.

She toke notice of her fang like teeth, but didn’t comment on them. Even if she was doing that on purpose, she didn’t find it polite commenting on such things. ”I was about to head to the Noble District anyway, I want to do some shopping…showing a newcomer around wouldn’t be much of a bother” she explained. It was, however a lie. As Amelia hadn’t planned to do much shopping, it was the appearance of the girl that made her think, she might want to go clothes shopping. And Amelia knew just the place for that, and why not grab a few things for herself while there?

Amelia turned around towards the direction a series of bridges, leading deeper and deeper into the cities hearth.”come now! A woman can’t really be kept away from shopping!” she chuckled, as she walked, dropping a glance behind her to see if Assilsa is following her.

Assilsa laughed and smiled at Amelia. She liked the fact the woman was trying to understand her Symenestran lifestyle. Assilsa, after Amelia had mentioned it, realised that there were alots of similarities between Symenestas and spiders, Assilsa thought not to mention her poison. Looking down at her ripped vest she looked back at Amelia
“Do I look that bad? I already lost a white undershirt. I was hoping the vest wouldn’t look so bad…”
Smiling she laughs, She watched Amelia star walking towards a few bridges, after hesitating a moment Assilsa skips toward Amelia.
“Luckily I just go paid” she laughs once she had caught up
