[4th day of summer 513.a.v.]
[The Docks]
[Middle day]
Amelia was having a pleasant day, for the most part. Customers were having a nice flow for such an early bell. Nobody was too clingy and everyone seemed to be happy. Such a nice day indeed, too bad she didn’t have anyone to share it with. Sometimes, being in Ravok was far too lonely for her hearth. Almost a whole year spent in this city, and the best she had gotten was a man or two who were interested in her father, not her. ”A beautiful place, but nobody seems to enjoy my company…isn’t it a shame” it amused her just as much as saddened. Yet, there was little one could do. It toke her years to find a friend in Syliras, here, it will probably take a bit more, as she isn’t a local since birth…
One way or the other, she continued strolling around with a smile, not a sign of sadness or loneliness in her eyes. She laughed and continued approaching people, while carelessly shuffling her cards. Looking for someone who would want their fortune read. While deep down, her desire was to have her friend Tia here, her Konti friend who would never find a good life in Ravok. At best, she’d be a slave…Oh the complexity of this city, the complexity of life.
One more step, one more, a smile and a wink. Men seemed to like watching her, but the looks didn’t give her much. Actually, the looks made her feel even more out of her place, making her feel cheep, like she’d be a chunk of meat on display. ”Stop it! That’s what you wanted back in Syliras, to be loved by men…here you got it…enjoy” she cursed herself, becoming silent and thoughtful. Walking without looking.
