Keanu Jadewalker Basic Information: Race: Human, Drykas Birthplace: Endrykas Birthday: Day 63, Season of Winter, 489 AV 513 Age: 23 Years Gender: Male Physical Description: Keanu's hair always usually styled back into a single braid that goes down to the back of his shoulders, and is the color of a single drop of honey. The coloring of his hair brings out the aquamarine in his deep set eyes, part of Keanu's clean shaven, angular face. His body is fit but not built, most of his muscles are slightly smaller than an average Drykas his age, unless you're referring to his shoulders and arms which are slightly above average. Usually he has a proud smile on his face, even if he isn't smiling with his lips Keanu often is still smiling with his eyes. His windmarks are long and meandering, they stretch across the right side of his chest, then, up onto his shoulder and down his arm to his wrist. The prominence of the Greens in his lightly worn clothing make it clear he belongs to the Emerald Clan. Keanu has lightly tanned skin for most of the year, lightening to a buttery color for the days of winter. He stands 5'11" and weighs in at one hundred sixty-three and a half pounds. Keanu's male Strider has a white blaze down it's nose and is Palomino in color, with solid black in it's legs. It's mane is Almond and golden blonde with almond being the more dominant of the two colors, almond is also the color of the dorsal stripe, the final detail being that it has a blaze on it's face. The name Keanu gave his Strider is Bravo. Character Concept: As the oldest of three brothers, Keanu has always tried to be a role model and a leader for his brothers. Especially Brian since Auster was born much later. Keanu learned through trial and error how to be a good brother as well as a good person. He would never deny having made mistakes and his parents frown on the fact he has yet to seek a wife. Keanu has an interest in the Inarta and often talks of wanting to go to Wind Reach just once in his life. This same passion shows in his often voiced desire for an Inarta as a bride, rather than a Drykas. Keanu tries to politely avoid people who practice non-web magic, especially Flux users. Even web-magic makes Keanu slightly uncomfortable, causing him to become fidgety and antisocial. He isn't afraid of magic, only unerved by it, his strider shares this distaste. Believing that all viewpoints are valid, Keanu takes well to criticism and tries to be empathetic when it's appropriate. He also believes that a man who can control himself in the presence of temptation is longer lived and wiser. Keanu keeps true to his word, threat or promise because he doesn't believe in throwing words around unless they hold meaning. Keanu doesn't tell stories or spar but enjoys listening to others share stories and watching others spar. He tries to keep a good reputation by assisting his peers frequently. One point he always makes before assisting a peer with a hunt is that he refuses to help if they are using any poison. Poison is in his opinion a cheap way to win a battle or succeed in a hunt. When there are visitors of other races in Endrykas, Keanu is generally curious about them. Unless they are members one of the beast races. Since he was little, Keanu has always hated the beast races and distrusted them. They're dangerous in his eyes, especially the Symenestra. This distaste does not transfer to Kelvics who he believes are the most ecologically balanced of all the races. A yvas is what equates to a girth with an attached breast collar combination hung with hooks and topped with a small flat hand grip that lays along a horse's shoulders. The Yvas is often placed over a colorful pad that acts to protect the horse from the rider. The grip fits over a strider's withers which holds the yvas in place. It almost looks like the type of thing vaulters used on their draft horses, though it is more functional than a vaulter's pad. The horses can free themselves from them if they got separated from their riders, and do not have tack to entrap or tangle them when they are running loose. The yvas has ring tethers on it for handling a set of wither bags and a waterskin, and is often decorated in knot-work beading that identified the horse and rider as part of a specific pavilion. Drykas ride without any headgear or bridles on their horses at all. They do not use any halters either.
