Once Assilsa asked Amelia about the way she looked, Amelia instantly began explaining herself ”Oh no, no! You don’t look bag, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to put it like that, I just thought, someone who is new in a city would like to do some shopping?” she tried her best to try and destroy the awkwardness of herself.

”You already have a job!?” Amelia was really surprised to hear this, usually it toke me some time to get a job, even if you were a citizen ”Your fast! It toke me quite some time to get a job here, and I didn’t have to face the difficulties of…well…being a none-human” Amelia chuckled, as she realized she had no idea how to give the statement out differently. ”so what job do you have? Maybe I could use some of your services” she laughed, a bit, though eventually, the thought sank in to the human.

As they walked, she could spot a few people looking at Assilsa. It wasn’t disgust, it was more…fear? She could see where it came from; after all, her long limbs and claws did give out a frightening appearance. ”So, that way is the Plaza of Dark delights…it’s a lovely place for some…more unusual activities” Amelia began, soon enough explaining it a bit more detailed ”You have your House of Immortal pleasures, you can find some good entertainment for the night there…or whenever you need it…hmm, there is also an Alchemists shop and a lovely shop that sells goods of all sorts, I especially like their masks, but I’m a bit of a cheapskate for that” she chuckled as they continued walking, slowly time passed and they were entering the merchants ring of the city.

”and this, would be the merchants ring” she said, pointing her long pale finger in the distance, where one could already see people trading and selling only gods know what. ”Probably the best place to shop in this whole place, but if you are in need of clothing, I’d advise going to the Noble District, the shop Azure reflections is probably the best for clothing around here, still, you can find some nice clothing around here” Amelia explained as bout of them finally entered this busy part of the city.

oocSo, I left it here so Asilssa can go where she wants, otherwise I was starting to feel like a bad RP buddy, being all god-moddy

Assilsa looked at the rows of stalls. The stall’s roofs were all brightly coloured, in what Assilsa thought was a way to attract buyers. Assilsa could see smiling faces at every point in amongst the stalls, she frowned slightly when she wondered if those smiles would fade if she walked amongst them.
“It’s not a permanent job… I need money to hire a room so I did a babysitting job at a placed called the spot. The child tried to kill me.”
Assilsa, to prove a point, lifted a few rips with her claws.
“Amelia. I would like to explore here if it’s not too must trouble.”
She turned to look at Amelia before walking towards the first store she saw. A man looked at her oddly before ignoring her, Assilsa looked over his items.
This store sold polished rocks and furs. Assilsa slightly touched the furs they were soft and clean while the stones were smoothed most likely but water, turning back To Amelia who had followed her,
“I think I might need a new undershirt before winter do you know where they would sell some here?”

Amelia couldn’t help but smile as she spoke about the job at “The Spot” ”I have done a job there too, a simple fortune telling, unlike yours it wasn’t a dangerous one” she slightly laughed at that note. It was true, some of the higher paying jobs were dangerous, but, she couldn’t really imagine a child that could be crazy enough to attack someone. Maybe she was just…wrong? One way or the other, she didn’t intend to question the details further.

Amelia didn’t protest as Assilsa began walking towards a bit of the exotic good, like half precious stones, and some furs. She didn’t really think they would have a lot of luck selling furs at summer, but the people were grabbing them out like crazy! Probably, because this was the time they were sold a bit more cheaply. Assilsa seemed to like them, while the merchant didn’t. She wasn’t surprised, but she thought people like that would be interested in being polite and welcoming to all races? Then again, she knew that Ravok was quite racist, if one could call it that.

”Well, if you want some really high quality, really fine clothing…I note once more, the best place by far is Azure’s fine tailoring, a tailoring salon within the noble district.” Amelia had never really compared the prices though, so she wasn’t sure would it be a bit cheaper here? ”But I’m sure that we can find something here, it’s really up to you” Amelia explained with a smile, after looking around to see if she could spot a goot tailoring shop around here.

”But, if we go to the Noble district, we could catch a few more things, for the sake of this tour”

Assilsa frowned and considered a few things she hadn’t thought important before.
“Amelia, Why is Ravok so against other races?”
Rubbing her eyes slightly she turned towards Amelia.
Assilsa reached into her boot and pulled put her money purse. The purse was made of frayed cloth however Assilsa didn’t mind it did its job in holding her money, which was never very stable.
“I would like to look at Azure’s fine tailoring because I could use a new vest….”

The question of the Symenestra caused Amelia to stop and think. She had always know that none-human races weren’t welcomed in this city. Chances were, that if you can’t pass as a human, you get harassed at best, and sold as a slave or even killed at worst. None the less, she had never really came to think of the simple question, why? Why is it that they don’t welcome the other races? In a city like this, charoda and konti would feel at home. Yet, they are despised.

”If I must be honest with you, Assilsa, I have no idea…I have lived in Ravok for some time, but I wasn’t born here…I still don’t understand a lot of things about this city” she explained with a bit of regret in her voice ”you see, I have little knowledge of the actual…political system here, in my opinion, whoever follows the religion of the cities patron, should be welcomed…” and this was what she found to be the most true. ”I think, it’s jalousie of how other races, possess some sort of power over the simple human, over time it might have turned to anger”

Once Asilssa had approved of the Azure tailoring, Amelia began wondering, the distance wasn’t that big, but it was still notable. So perhaps, taking a ravosal would be better? ”very well, we might as well take a ravosal, what do you think?” she offered, already scanning the perimeter to spot a ravosalaman that seemed to be waiting for someone to drop by.

Assilsa sighed slightly at not knowing why this place was so harsh.
Assilsa smiled at the night she spent on the ravosal with Ireth the piper. Nodding Assilsa let Amelia lead her towards the channel so they could hail one. The water was clear enough to see slightly beneath the surface.
“Do you have any particular skills?”
She asked without looking at Amelia, her eyes began to hurt again from the sun reflecting of the water, swaying slightly Assilsa fell over backwards. Winding herself she sat back up
“Sorry! It’s the sun… and possibly lack of food”

Amelia caught the nod of the woman, and soon enough she had managed to find a Ravosalaman that was waiting for a customer. Amelia came up to him and smiled.”would there be room for two?” She asked, always trying to be polite to the men, she had a guess that this trade could be quite the pain. The man nodded and helped bout Assilsa and Amelia to step on the ravosal and sit down. From now, it was just one simple sentence ”please, take us to the fine tailoring of Azure” and with that, the man pushed away from the side of the pathway, and the two began their way.

”we human don’t really have any skills, nothing really…we are like clay, you can mold us into anything…if you have the desire…I’m a fortune teller, but might as well have been a knight…it applies for most anyone, but we must admit that some races are more adept to one field…like the Konti are much better at medicine than most..” Amelia felt she was rambling once more, so she decided to shut up and just let herself enjoy the warm weather, the sun and water.

She really was enjoying it, up until she realized, that Assilsa seemed to get dizzy. ”poor thing you, are you alight?” Amelia asked before she refer to the earlier statement. ”well…the dinning places at the center and noble district are quite…expensive and filled with people who probably, wont’ be too happy to see you…a symenestra…but if you tell me what kind of food you want, I could think of the most reasonable way out of it” Amelia didn’t understand why was she being this nice to a stranger, it was probably the way this woman was so…innocent and unaware of the dangers of this city?

OOCHelloo i am soo sorry that this took so long so much has been happening anyway here we go!

Grabbing the edge of the boat to steady herself slightly, she smiled up at Amelia, whispering in a hushed voice she answered Amelia’s question
“My race… we have… whats a nice word for it... Venom, we can use it had a weapon and the longer we go without food the more dangerous it is. So I’m fine to not get ridiculed, Ill stop at the Silver Silver for dinner”
The water seemed to spilt around the boat and glittered in the sunlight Assilsa would have called it beautiful if it didn’t sting her eyes as it shifted. Assilsa grabbed her hair and pulled it around her face to block some of the light, it did make it considerably better
“Amelia I have another question possibly not as hard to answer as the first one”
Turning so her red eyes met Amelia she smiled
“The slave traders… how bad are they?”

So the symenestra have venom? Amelia had to admit it was fascinating, her father must be highly interested in such creatures, with his love for poisons. None the less, it was a bit frightening, to know the fragile looking girl in front of her, was able to poison her. ”people say that a snake is not immune to its own venom, are you? Like, could you get sick or die from your own venom?” Amelia asked, sincerely curios and hopping she hadn’t offended Assilsa with the question.

Slavers, now that was quite the interesting question ”I’m clearly not a slave, but my father has…some, knowledge about it….I can tell you that” she confessed before setting her mind straight to finally start answering ”first off, it all depends from person to person, there is no slaver that is like the other…while a merchant family might get a slave to help around the house and threat them as a maid, rather than a slave…other people might get a slave for experiments with poisons, torture, fight at the pit or potentially a bit more intimate entertainment” Amelia chose not to call it ‘sex slavery’ as she found the term vulgar. ”so there are no actual measurements to determine are slavers good or bad, I’ve heard the Nitrozian and Galatos families are highly good to their slaves, most common folks here don’t get a life as good as an obedient and skilled slave at their house…” she explained ”but, as I said before, it all depends on what is the master like” and then she remembered of the mark of slaves ”oh! And, once someone is enslaved, they have a mark placed upon them, it’s an symbol, a tattoo of a half-black sun…once that is there, no chances of you being…accepted as an citizen, you are just a slave”

The rest of the trip was silent, and finally, they had reached the fashion house of Ravok. With the help of the ravosalaman they bout stepped on the pathway and they parted. ”Welcome Assilsa, to the Azure Reflections Fine Tailoring” she said, entering the building, inviting the symenestra to join her.

oocwell, go wild shopping! XD

Assilsa was stunned by the quality of clothes and the amount. Assilsa skipped towards one piece that caught her eye. It was a vest of the darkest of red the material was lace, the pattern was of vines climbing towards the shoulders. She instantly fell in love with it, pulling it off the rack Assilsa showed Amelia.
“I just adore this! However I will need an undershirt now!”
Skipping over to what looked like undershirts
“Amelia, I am lacking excitement in this city… I used to have to fight daily for my life…”
Picking through the piles she found a number of different types, short sleaved, long sleaved however one made her think. It was a white long sleaved undershirt that reminded her of something a pirate would wear. It was loose fitting especially around the arms, pulling it out Assilsa smiled at it.
“This is beautiful!” Assilsa turned slowly to look at Amelia… Without thought Assilsa had swapped to her native tongue.
“Oh… Sorry! It happens sometimes…”
