The Great Bazaar, 10th of Summer 513 A.V
Two ghostly little girls, one taller than the other, was standing in front of a bewildered carpenter. The older ghost had a small smile, while the younger one practically jumped up and down in excitement.
"Sis! Sis! I want this one! This one!" The younger ghost named Rena, eagerly pointed to a miniature version of an elegant mansion. Kouri had promised Rena of buying her a toy to play with in their rented room in the Traveler's Row, but Kouri didn't expect Rena wanted this dollhouse that was made for Pycons to live in from all choices...
Yes, Kouri understood that something like this would catch Rena's attention; she was a little girl after all and Kouri also was a little girl. Both of them shared the same passion of playing with dolls complete with their dollhouses Oh yeah, I left all my dolls back at my home in Avanthal... Kouri also missed playing like normal little girls do and this dollhouse could provide both herself and Rena with it, if only it weren't so... expensive.
"How much would it cost again, Sir?" Kouri heaved a sigh, she already knew but she just couldn't believe it and wanted to hear it again.
"W-well... uhm..." The male human carpenter was excited and speechless at the same time, two potential customers was right in front of him and they were interested in a rather expensive item; but they were both phantoms, his image of ghosts being utterly mindless and insane shattered completely. These two little ghost girls' manners were... too polite for insane and mindless beings. Still a customer is a customer, he put up his business-look and repeated the price in a calm manner "Four hundred gold mizas, Mistress"
"Four... hundred..." Kouri whispered the insane price of the elaborate dollhouse, it was of excellent craftsmanship quality and looked sturdy enough; but was it worth the price? She looked down and saw Rena giving her the 'puppy dog eyes' expression, Kouri groaned; the expression was working. "Can't you go... any lower?"
"I'm sorry, Mistress. No can do, this here baby is my masterpiece and its true purpose is to serve as homes for those wealthy Pycons after all" The merchant's tone was calm, but it was obvious he was giving the 'take it or leave it' offer.
"Kuh..." Kouri gritted her teeth, this was not going to end well for her wallet. She had more than enough money to buy it and with both of them being ghosts, she wouldn't have to worry about day-to-day living cost like humans either; but it's still expensive!
"Siiiis..." Rena upped the ante and even used a pleading tone now, the thought of Rena wasn't as innocent as she appeared to be crossed Kouri's mind.
"F...fine! Fine!" Kouri shook her head twice, also stifling a giggle. Rena had the talent of being a seductress when she grew up... if she ever grew up. "Here you go, Sir..." Kouri put the money pouch held by her tendril in front of her and two more tendrils jutted out from her back. A tendril was holding the pouch in the air, another was opening it, and another was picking up the gold mizas and putting them on the merchant's vendor table.
"Woah..." The merchant couldn't keep his awe at the display of supernatural power before him, but the growing pile of mizas in front of him attracted his attention even more.
After two chimes of constant clinking of mizas, Kouri closed her thinning money pouch and heaved a sigh "There, Sir... four hundred gold mizas... you can count it..."
"Ahahahaha! No need, Mistress! No need! I can count it later!" The carpenter's eyes were figuratively in the shape of coins as he took the pile and put it inside his lockbox. He returned to the ghostly sisters and offered a handshake in gratitude which were awkwardly accepted by Kouri.
The merchant ignored the chilling sensation from touching Kouri's materialized right hand and merely guffawed in joy "Thank you for your patronage, Mistress! We'll have it delivered right away! May I have your address?" He immediately took a quill and a parchment, eager to seal the deal once and for all.
"Traveler's Row, apartment number one-one-two..." Kouri answered in a tired, but happy tone.
"Apartment number one-one-two it is!" He wanted to ask on why in Sylir's name two ghosts would be staying at the Row and why did Matilda accepted them? But he kept it to himself, what matters was their money!
"Yaaaaaaaay! Thank you, Sis! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ♥" Rena glomped her older sister and shook her, she couldn't contain her excitement. She finally got something to spend her time with when she's staying at the Traveler's Row and her sister was away doing her job and stuffs.
"You're very welcome, Rena... now, let's go back, I want to... mourn for my poor mizas a bit..." Kouri slouched her body and started to float away from the carpenter shop, leaving a grinning merchant with his coin-shaped eyes.
"Ehehehehe~" Rena kept clinging to her beloved older sister and snuggling her for the rest of the day.
