The girl had seated herself elswhere and Tressa felt only the slightest pang of guilt for not sitting with her, it hadn't been intentional, she just sat the first place she saw fit, glad to be off her feet. She looked to the girl, she was more than welcome to move to their table, but it was her choice. She was an odd one, or possibly I'm just not used to other people anymore. She thought as she looked on. Realizing she was staring Tressa lowered her eyes to the table, it was marred and scraped from years of mugs and fists abusing it.
Tressa had been looking at the table, but she looked up to Leon as he seated himself to her right. The tavern had become quieter suddenly, the loud discussions, if you could call them that had died to mere whispers. In her head she was sorting through the nights events and evaluating them. It had been caotic to say the least and she hoped the commotion had been spent. Leon seemed impatient, maybe even anxious and it drew her attention to him. Watching him quietly while she listened to his words. The begger? He is long gone by now, maybe beaten, possibly injured, or maybe he escaped them all? She had no hard feelings, grudges were a waste of energy, she had always been one to confront, deal with whatever it erupted into, be it a fight or an argument and then leave it be. She didn't understand humans much, but Leon was definately interesting.Food and ale. She wasn't fond of the latter, but as long as the food was some form of meat it would be fine. She wasn't thirsty anyhow.
The air was already tense. It seemed like even the atmosphere was waiting for something. It wasn't long before Wys too seated himself, to her left across from Leon. The tension in the air only grew. It seemed like these two were getting on each others nerves and she wondered why? Maybe she was missing something. Wys ordered the 'usual' whatever that happened to be after mumbling something in a very irritated way. Tressa found her self looking from Leon to Wys, back and forth, waiting for them to speak or something and then Wys did. Hopefully the mood would lighten again. "What brings you to our beautiful city?" Tressa sat quietly hoping Leon would speak up first, it wasn't a question she cared much to answer, it wasn't a happy thought. But, he didn't and she mustered the integrity to speak.I'm not sure what brought me here actually, other than it was my mother's wish to live here. She left her answer short and sweet, nobody cared to hear drawn on stories of no importance and she wasn't much of a storyteller. It is very pretty here, and a bit over eventful, one will never get bored. She added, growing silent she waited for Leon's answer. Bring one hand up to idly play with the ends of her hair, while she waited for conversation and food.
"And we danced to the sound of a dying race, around and around beneath a burning sky"
