[Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

46th winter 512
Wandering through the city of Syliras Adilliana and had eventually come across the Grand Bazar. She had already made a few purchases including breakfast and w. She had been shock to find that many of the shop keepers were not open to barter preferring Miza. The Unfamiliarity of working for coin had not stopped her making purchases however, and she was happily munching on some dried fruit. Looking around curiously her blue eyes were attracted to a stand where a variety of sword were displayed.

Walking over she inspected the good carefully. She had lost her own cutlass in the storm and it was true she did need a new one. Swallowing her mouthful she picked up a cutlet carefully testing the weight.

“You have a Good eye there young lady.” The shopkeeper said moving to stand in front of you. “Well balance, the blade is made of cold iron, not as fancy as Isurian steel but still superior to a steel blade. 36 GM.

Adilliana hesitated but fished out the coins. She was without her pod and would need to be able to defend herself. Attaching the scabbard to her belt Adilliana smiled at the comforting weight of her new friend at her side.

(Bells afterThis)

Upon arriving at the stalls scattered at the underground of the city's castle, she hurriedly jumped on one location to another. It seemed that she didn't have any choice but to go with the flow. There was jam-packed full of people and some were pushing the other almost. Elbows to elbows and beads of sweats from these local men, it was a real irritating experience to be on Alisha's shoes. She spoke loudly but still with decency, "Gave me this and this...". Pointing the common quill, empty book and a vial of one oz. black ink, she looked around but the woman awhile ago was gone missing. Probably, she unable to tail her. It was sad but where will she possibly start looking for her?

ReceiptQuill- 5cm, Blank book- 3gm, Vial of 1 oz. ink- 2gm
Total purchase= 5gm.5cm
Note: The player behind Alisha was still adjusting to Mizahar life, please bear with her.

[Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

Postby Klaus on May 6th, 2013, 6:16 pm

15th of Spring, 513AV

Klaus stood in front of the booth for a long time. His right hand on his chin and the other holding his elbow. His face was twisted in deep concentration at the various weapons before him. As his eyes scanned the array of blades he thought. Hmmm...which one seems more my kind of weapon. His eyes landed on a broadsword. No...too common. A scimitar caught his eye next. He didn't know what it was about the blade that didn't appeal to him. It simply...didn't.

Then he noticed a different sort of weapon. He pointed and asked the merchant, "What is that, sir?"

The merchant, clearly aggravated that Klaus hadn't bought anything yet, was more than happy to help him so he would move aside and allow other, more certain customers brows his wares.

"This 'ere is whats called a Ropedart, son. Need a lot of special trainin' to use it proper. Five gold'uns for it."

Special training huh? This gave Klaus a rather fun idea. So he pushed the money toward the merchant and scurried home. In his excitement, it wasn't untill he got back to his room that he realized he forgot the chalk he needed, as well as the hammer, nails, and leather for a few other projects. Later that day that he returned to the Bazaar for his equipment, eager to work his magic.

PurchasesRope dart, Bladed = 5GM
Chalk = 3CM
Nail Hammer = 5SM
Nails = 5SM
1sq yard of Leather = 1GM
Hey everyone, sorry it's taking me so long to post back. My grandparents, who have been away all winter, just got back for the summer. So I will be spending as much time with them as I can. But don't worry. I haven't forgotten about you. I just may not post as often as I have been before. Thank you all for your understanding, and I will post as soon as I can.

[Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

Postby Zaed Martel on May 22nd, 2013, 11:55 am

67th of Spring, 513AV

Zaed, although unfamiliar with the city, found it simple to make his way to the Great Bazaar. The flow of traffic in the bustling city carried him towards the stalls and shops and it was with a grateful sigh that he stepped out from the crowded flow of people and into the calm of a shop. He glanced around, and taking in the sight of weapons and armour, pulled his coin pouch out.
He had encountered trouble on the road several weeks ago when travelling between cities, and had come to the conclusion that as reluctant as he was to seperate with his coin, it was worth investing in some form of weaponry.
He exited the shop some time later, with a considerably lighter coin purse, leather armour and a warhammer. The Warhammer itself was quite a weight, but heavy lifting while working at the port in Zaltiva had strengthened his arms, and Zaed found himself somewhat excited at the prospect of using it. Carrying his new purchases, Zaed then entered what appeared to be a shop selling particular outdoor purchases. After much discussion with the shop keeper, he managed to sell his 4 person tent, which was somewhat weathered, for 5 gold, and buy a single person for 2 gold; Zaed was tired of carrying such a large tent around when he travelled alone.
He was making his way out of the bazaar when movement inside a shop caught his eye, the shop itself was selling various animals and pets, and Zaed, who was growing tired of travelling without companionship, was drawn into the shop.
He exited later, in his arms carrying a ferret within a small cage, the ferret had cost him only 2 gold, a small price for a companion, and the cage 5. He had entertained the idea of simply allowing the ferret to travel upon his shoulder, but he doubted it would be trained to do so, and to avoid it running away, he had requested the cage as well. It was as he was exiting the bazaar when he stopped briefly to purchase a pound of jerked beef to feed his new friend.

[Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

Postby Vassarka Oleander on May 22nd, 2013, 7:08 pm

Timestamp: 78th of Spring 513

Vassarka made her way to the Great Bazaar, winding her way through the endless passages that made up the castle. When she finally got there, she was once again overwhelmed by the sheer size of Syliras' major shopping area. This was the first time that she had ever been without Mamma to guide her through the hustle and bustle of the narrow alleys between stalls, but she was here for a purpose now, and there was no time to wallow in memories.

Vassarka was going to be out on the road, and although she had some basic knowledge of archery, she also needed other weapons, that could protect her in close combat, if it ever came to that. So first, a knife. She quickly located a weapons shop, and entered it. This particular store seemed to specialise in smaller weapons and archery, there were bows and arrows, small axes, garotte wire, shurikens and even ear daggers. Vassarka fingered the edge of one of the throwing axes and glanced longingly at the spider throwing knives. Eventually she decided to make a purchase... or several. Selecting the most wickedly sharp throwing axe she could find and selecting three throwing daggers, she took her purchases to the owner of the shop, along with a whetstone and a quiver for her arrows. She was prepared, weapon-wise that is.

Next, she needed to get some new boots, as her old ones were falling apart. She strolled into a shoe shop, and looked at all the footwear on offer. One pair in particular caught her eye, they looked soft as sin, and were night black. However, for some reason they were about five times more expensive than the others. Vassarka asked why this was, and the shop owner demonstrated by thumping the boot hard against the shop floor. All of a sudden, a three inch blade shot out of the heel of the boot. Needless to say, it wasn't long before these were on Vassarka's feet.

[Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

Postby Inayl on June 20th, 2013, 1:42 pm

2th of Summer 513

It was a beautiful morning: the sun shone across the streets, while the remainder of yesterdays rain was softly glistening under her glowing rays.
It was a fine day to visit the Grand Bazaar, and many had done so, filling the indoor market with the cheerful laughing of tourists, as exotic scents induced a trancelike bliss amongst the shoppers.
The perfect day to buy a weapon, which had conveniently been the sole reason for Inayl to visit this famous Bazaar.

' A Stilleto? A dagger? A small knife?... what about an exotic sickle?' asked the stallowner pushingly, somehow he had managed to guess that Inayl was in search of a weapon, had clamped onto him and had just spend five minutes naming every single weapon he could think of, and was more than willing to sell him.
'I've never done this before... I don't know. I'm sorry, I just do not know...'
Inayl felt his face turn red; who on Mizahar hadn't learned wielding at least one type of weapon ... True, there had never been a reason for him to learn how to properly hold a dagger. Then again...
Inayl clenched his fists, and inhaled deeply. Things had changed, he had a reason nowadays: learning how to summon, to find his knight, and if he was going to learn the art of summoning, he'd need to be able to defend himself... from creatures and pying eyes alike.
'I need something small, something I can hide, and it must be sharp as well... sharp enough to cut off limbs. Do you have something like that?'
Inayl could not opress a few giggles: his knight was a step closer now, and the stallowner had started stuttering.
' A s-small s-sword, perhaps? No? ... what about a p-pick? ... A handaxe... only 6 gm, a b-bargain, Ser?'
Inayl eyed the small axe and smiled. It looked promising, the handle was made of strong wood and the head had been decently crafted out of sharp iron.
'All the heads in the world, my knight. You can have them all!' he softly thought to himself, and started giggling once more.
'I'll take it.' He handed over the mizras, saw he had 94 gm left and starting heading home.

'This will be so much fun! Off with their heads, my knight. Off with the head of anyone who tries to stop me.'

Postby Matthew on June 27th, 2013, 10:39 pm

Matthew took a long while in his trip to the Bazaar, being one who was always concerned with his outward appearance. After a few hours of walking and haggling, he left with an armful of colorful and professional-looking clothing. [Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

Postby Vanari on July 30th, 2013, 6:02 pm

Summer, Day 58, 513 AV

Vanari knew she should be bartering, but to hell with that. She was planning on a long, comfortable stay here in Syliras and it was high time she allowed herself to splurge a little.

"How much for these daggers?" she asked in as jaded of tone as she could manage. A little excitement must have escaped, however, because the shop owner smirked.

"30 gold, take it or leave it."

Vanari blinked. "Leaving."

"Hold, hold! Can't take a joke?" the sleezy man chuckled. "You're a newcomer, I can tell. Here, I'll take it easy on you--20 gold for these lovely Tamo daggers. They are hard to come by, I'll have you know! Only pair I got."

The Vantha thought for a moment, then handed over a fist full of coins. "Okay."

The shop keeper gaped. Vanari gave her thanks, and turned without a second glance, happy with her purchase.

He really should have been suspicious of a table labeled 'discount magic reagents', but it was the first time he had seen d-wire after several bells of searching. He mulled over the purchase for a few moments while the vendor watched eagerly, but it hadn't taken him long to hand over the Mizas and make his way back out of the Bazaar. If he would have been like he normally was, thoughtful and logical, then he would have seen the folly in buying Alchemy equipment from a seedy stall in a shadowed corner. But today he was much too excited and eager for that. Learning something new made a hyper feeling flood his veins sometimes. It wouldn't be that bad just to indulge this once, would it?

Meter length of D-Wire [10 GM]

[Syliras Location] The Great Bazaar

Postby Lyrri Snowsong on August 31st, 2013, 11:12 pm

The Great Bazaar was truly a marvel of Syliras; the surprisingly small marketplace contained any number of items, practical and impractical, mystical and ordinary. Lyrri had decided it was about time to spoil herself; her newfound job would cover the expenses, right?

The bard grinned. Never had she seen such an astounding display in Avanthal, a far smaller place with far less to see. It wouldn't hurt to spoil herself just a bit... Right?

The number of bells spent wandering the Bazaar that day was nothing to scoff at. Lyrri had finally found her new wardrobe, a colorful pile of cotton and a number of both necessary and simply attractive items- a performer ought to look the part, of course. Her next goal was to find a music book; it wasn't that she didn't love the songs of her home, only that there weren't enough of them!

The bright green juggling balls were only a whim as she finally found a very generic 'Songs of Syliras: Flute Edition'...

And thus went a healthy chunk of the less-than-frugal girl's funds.

Purchases :
Boots, high (leather, used) = 7 SM, 5 CM
Breeches (dyed, used, cotton) = 1 GM, 1 SM, 3 CM
Cloak (dyed, used) = 5 SM, 6 CM
Gloves (used, cotton) = 4 SM, 7 CM
Undergarments (cotton) = 1 SM, 3 CM
Blouse (dyed, used, cotton) = 1 GM, 1 SM, 3 CM
Broad-brim hat (dyed, used) = 4 GM, 5 SM
Belt (used, leather) = 3 SM
Music Book = 4 GM
Juggling Balls (5) = 8 GM

Total = 20 GM, 9 SM, 7 CM
Send me a message if you'd like to thread together sometime! School's coming back, along with some nasty projects due, but I'll do my best to keep up, alright?
