Alex is an independent young boy who enjoys exploring. Because of his impairment, people tend to assist him. However, Alex would rather walk on his own two feet without a guide. Because of that, Alex dislikes most people who make a big fuss about his disability. He doesn’t mind if a person tells him that something lies ahead, but if the person constantly tells then he’ll be somewhat annoyed.

Because Alex is unable to see, he relies on other senses. So he’ll often touch certain thing and use his auristics to examine the properties of the object, as well as getting a feel of it. Touching soft or comfy items is like ‘eye-candy’ for him, he simply loves touching soft things. However, he’ll try to hide his feelings for them, often finds a secluded area for himself and continuously stroke that material.

Alex is quite social able, but he finds it hard to be sociable (if that makes sense). Because people often make a big deal of his eyes, Alex often acts somewhat anti-social and walks away from the person. He wants to make friends, but only friends that look past his eyes and see him as a normal boy. Alex also has an inherited speech mannerism, he'll often end some sentences with "Didn't ya know" and other weird phrases.

Out in public, Alex is considerate of other people's vision. He closes his eyes to hide his 'hideous' eyes to relieve other from viewing them. Alex will often make jokes about his blindness, and joke about his falcon. After all, Alex is still a child.

Alex’s body is of an average child his age. He’s not too tall or too short, and the same goes for his weight, not too heaver or underweight. Alex’s skin is quite fair and hardly has any scaring on it. His short chocolate brown hair falls just above his eyes, covering some of his brows. The bangs of his hair often part on one side of his head, but will return back into one fringe. Alex’s eyes are clouded and murky, giving them a white cloudy look. If Alex didn’t have such cloudy eyes, one could easily tell that he has brown eyes. However, Alex is often seen with his eyes closed. Being young Alex’s voice is still slightly high in range. However, his voice is quite midrange.


Despite being blind, Alex’s choice of coloured clothing are often colours that aren't too bright or dull. Alex wears a dusty blue shirt with a dim-grey coat and long pants. Alex is often seen walking around with a bird resting somewhere of him, the bird is a young kestrel falcon. The Falcon dull in colour and has a strip pattern over its feathers. Upon the falcon’s face is white feather along with black feather that creates two black strips over its face. Alex also Wears two gloves on each hand to protect them from Tallulah's talons.

Alexander Flynn White both blind and an Orphan, making him a blind orphan. However, with his magic skills he learnt from his mother and heightened senses he constantly trains, Alex is able to make up his loss of vision by creating a ‘mind-scape’ within his head. The mind-scape works like a map that tells Alex where he stands in the world, and with the use auristics is able to tell what part of the world is made of.

Alex’s mind map, thought extremely handy for him, has a few flaws. Because Alex is human, his memory can only hold so much information. However, over time he’ll learn to retain more information as he grows older. Because Alex can only hold a limited amount of information, his mental map can only hold the basic layout of an area, so name of building aren’t placed on his map, as well as constantly moving things, like a travelling circus – should one exist. Only frequent visits to the location will allow Alex to retain the information about the building.

Another thing Alex’s map isn’t great for is tracking people. Like the “travelling circus” Alex cannot place on his mental map a constantly moving target. Although he is able to use his senses to judge or predict were a person maybe, and can note them on the map. However, it’s highly unlikely that that person will stay at that one area for too long.

Like most of the people in Mizahar, Alex is able to fight. However, his fighting form is more suited for the blind rather than the vision-abled person. Using both unarmed combat and reimancy, along with his keen senses, Alex strikes in a general direction of his target and uses his reimancy to create a small shockwave of air and a minute sound. Both sound and air bounce off the target and return to Alex so he can determine his next strike. If close combat fails, a quick burst of Air reimancy can help him get some distance to run away.

Alex has a pet falcon that he treats like a small sister, with wings. The Kestrel Falcon, named Tallulah, is like Alex in terms of being disadvantaged. The small Falcon isn’t able to fly due to wing damage during her development as a chick. Tallulah, or Lulu, makes up her flightless-ness with mobility with her beak and talons, and being Alex’s closes thing to a family, because she was given to him by his beloved mother.

Both Alex and Lulu live in the orphanage, under the care of the kind Aenysa. Alex tends to help her around the orphanage, going on errands for her if she is busy. Alex felts indebt to her for showing him kindness during his darkest moment in life.

Alexander was the bastard child of his mother, Sarah White, and Father, David Chapler. His mother was a studious Scholar at the Zeltiva University, studying the arcane arts. However, due to unknown reason she moved to Syliras to live a quiet life. She kept her magic a secret from everyone thought to prevent hardship.

Alex’s Father was a Miner in Syliras who was a smooth talker who’d use women just for their bodies. It’s was unfortunate that Sarah and David met at The Herald’s Arm. Sarah was having a couple of drinks with her friends and David wormed his way into her life. Soon after, Alex’s existence soon followed.

When Alex was born, Alex’s father had long left him and his mother. Alex grew up by his mother’s side. Alex’s mother taught him how to auristics to help with his mental map, and taught him magic – although she was quite reluctant to do it, but Alex wanted to learn. The two looked like a happy mother and son. However, because of David, Alex’s Mother’s emotions were falling apart. Sarah told Alex the address of his father, hoping that he would take him in, and the wounded Tallulah. Soon after, Sarah White removed herself from Alex's life. Some say that she killed herself in the wilderness via hanging or stabbing. However, one fact remained, Alex is alone.

Alex was old enough to understand that his mother’s death was caused by his so called father, and so he decided to confront him as a young man. However, his attempt was futile and immediately got him kick out in the rain. Regardless if Alex confronted him or not, the end result would always be the same, the heartless David will simply grab him by the collar and literally throw him out.

Sobbing in the cold rain an alleyway, Alex was found by Aenysa who was rushing through the cold rain. She noticed that Alex was blind and was unwanted by his parent/s. She took him in and gave him food, warmth and water. Alex took Alex a while to settle in, but soon after he was able to live happily in the Orphanage.

Personality: Despite being a Falcon, Lulu displays a lot of intellect and pride. She dislikes being called a pet and takes great offence to it. She prefers to be called either by her name or something you’d address another human being as, like girl, woman or sister. Also she’s quite proud for a bird. She other holds a stuck-up personality at time, sometimes looking down at other creature and in some cases beings. However, deep down she’s quite a softy who if just looking for care, which Alex provides.

Lulu is a small Kestrel Falcon. She was given to Alex at a young age and is currently being trained by him. She's a curious bird that will prod around where she shouldn't. Lulu was found as a very young chick by Alex's mother in the forest. she had a broken wing that looked quite serve and couldn't be mended. So like Alex, she has an impairment, but she received hers by injury and not birth. Although Lulu can't fly, she's a pretty good hopper, climber and chirpier. Unbeknownst to Alex, She is a Kelvic that bares information given to her from his mother.
