Summer Crush, meeting a lovely Girl ( Fubuki Kouri )

Postby Draven on June 30th, 2013, 3:01 pm

30th Summer 513

It was a warm summer day, a day on which one could hardly pierce through the sun's magnificent gaze; except in the city of Syliras, which once again lay enveloped within her own stone walls. Those wretched stone walls, which aided by the city's stale and moldy atmosphere, would always attempt to ruin a beautiful summer day.

Draven sighed, terribly bored as he was, not even watching the living, walking through their lukewarm streets, craving for a gentle breeze to cool their sweaty skins, was able to cheer him up. He sighed once more, in an attempt to forget how pleasurable a summer breeze could be. He hated watching humans when they did things he could no longer do, like enjoying, or at least hoping for, a common breeze. He tore his eyes away from the crowd and started floating throughout the city streets, mindlessly thinking of all the adventures he would have, and all the adventure he'd already had.

Until he saw her, the loveliest girl he'd ever seen. He stopped floating, and continued to look at her from a distance. She was young, perhaps a year younger than him, and she was beautiful: she had long white hair, deep crimson red eyes, and an rare pale skin. She was just standing there, amidst a crowd of people. He quickly hid himself, behind a seemingly wealthy man, and continued to eye the peculiar girl. Would she be interested in him? The thought, a very uncommon one, crossed his mind. Yes, he was a 14 year old boy, albeit a ghost, but he had never experienced anything like this; he had never experienced any form of love, let alone a summer crush. He looked at himself, still ethereal, and took a deep breath. Slowly he floated towards the girl, averting any form of eye contact.

'H-hey! I haven't seen you here before,' still avoiding the girl's gaze, he continued talking to his shoulder: ' D-do you come here often? Are you from around here? ' As he waited for her to answer, he took a quick look at the girl, who was still standing in front of him, and noticed the blood-stains on her dress. She was a ghost, and so was he.

Summer Crush, meeting a lovely Girl ( Fubuki Kouri )

Postby Fubuki Kouri on June 30th, 2013, 7:06 pm

Fubuki Kouri

The Nettle District, the place where the Flower Stand was located. The little ghost girl just so happened to be working at the flower shop owned by Atta Sabot as a flower girl, gathering various flowers from the Bronze Woods or sometimes delivering bouquets and arrangements to Atta's various customers (the ones who didn't mind a ghost visiting them at least).

Kouri was on the way to the shop to take her usual flower basket and venture into the Woods. Rena, Kouri's adoptive little sister, decided she would not come with her sister today and rather played with the grandiose dollhouse Kouri bought for her. Kouri didn't mind, she specifically bought that expensive dollhouse for Rena to have something to do in their rented apartment at the Traveler's Row while Kouri was away doing stuffs.

"Hm hm hm~♪" She floated with happy steps with her very long ethereal white hair slowly swaying from left to right, she was getting used to the stares she got from the general populace, humans seemed to be interested in everything they deemed unusual after all. Kouri didn't notice another pair of ethereal eyes was watching her though.

But she stopped her movements when she felt the presence of another soulmist, one that was not her own. Eh? Another ghost? Kouri made a thinking expression, there was three possibilities to the situation, one, it was either Sir Noaru or Sir Yuri, her ghostly friends; two, it was a Spiritist's Soulmist; or three, it was a stranger ghost. This piqued her curiosity and looked to the general direction on where the Soulmist came from. If it was Sir Noaru or Sir Yuri, maybe she could ask them to explore the Woods today.

"H-hey! I haven't seen you here before"

Oh... So it was the third possibility in the end, a ghost she had never seen before. This ghost took the form of a young boy, maybe slightly older than Kouri's age, with light bluish hair, pale skin, and sapphire blue eyes that contrasted greatly with Kouri's crimson red. "Eh..." Kouri was rather taken aback, she encountered another child ghost other than Rena. This meant that another child had prematurely died in this cold, harsh world. She was speechless for a few moments as she took in the boy's form, he was... handsome to say the least, he reminded Kouri of a particular Vantha boy from her hometown of Avanthal of whom she had a crush on.

"D-do you come here often? Are you from around here?"

"!?" Kouri's eyes perked up as she realized she was impolitely ignoring someone who was kindly approaching and trying to talk to her. It was not often she could get another ghost approaching her in a friendly matter, Kouri fidgeted with her hair ribbons and approached closer to the older boy.

"U-uhm... eh, I live here with my sister... for now at least. E..ehehe~ Well..." The boy's ghostly state, apparent age, and physical traits was already winning some affection from her, it was childish of her to judge someone by their physical appearance but she's a child with a very much child-like mind... and a psychotic other side.

"I'm from Avanthal, actually. I'm a Vantha. Uhm... I really am... previously..." Kouri sheepishly looked to the boy and noticed he was rather nervous talking to her. This made Kouri's extroverted nature kicked in, a grin appeared on her face as her naughty side decided to step in. "So... ehehe, who are you?" She approached closer, closing in the distance between them until they were inches apart, she tilted her head upwards to look at the older boy's taller form and gaze at his beautiful blue eyes. "You don't have to be shy, you know? Or perhaps... you like me?"

The original Vantha Kouri was an gentle, quiet girl. She became much more bolder and vocal ever since she came to terms with her state, realizing her powers, killed numerous animals and even people, and having to take care of a little sister.

Summer Crush, meeting a lovely Girl ( Fubuki Kouri )

Postby Draven on July 1st, 2013, 6:42 pm

He had been surprised learning that she was a ghost as well. He had been even more suprised learning that she was a Vantha, a mysterious race of Humans who lived amongst the Frozen North, and were widely known for their skills as carvers and storytellers. He had always wanted to meet one.
Now he had, and she was amazing: both beautiful and kind. Yet she had answered his question rather shyly, which added to the discovery that she was a Vantha, had only made Draven even more nervous than he had already been. He had avoided her gaze, and awkwardly tried putting his arms together. It had been a disaster. And she had definitely noticed it.

"You don't have to be shy, you know? Or perhaps... you like me?"

The question had scared Draven a bit, but it had mostly confused him. Was it relevant? Was him liking her a requirement for her liking him? He had never hated his grandparents, nonetheless they had abused him: locking him up in a single room, for the entirety of his human life. He would have liked having had a father, but the man had still left him... Liking someone was clearly not a guarantee for that someone to like you back.

He kept thinking for a moment, mindlessly stuck in the maze of his past life, until he released that she had indeed asked him something, and he didnt want to sound stupid in front of her. Still, the question had bewildered him, inciting a feeling of sorrow he had long since tried to avoid.

' Would YOU like me, if I liked you?, ' he asked the peculiar girl; she could be different after all: she might be able to like him, and ask nothing for it in return, except for him to like her as well.

Fubuki Kouri

"Hm? Ehehehe~" Kouri moved her upper body from left to right to examine the blue-eyed ghost buy further, he was definitely handsome according to Kouri's standards. She loved his nervousness, it made her feel important. Kouri, being a singer, naturally craved attention, she seldom asked for it but she loved being showered with praises and of course, she would praise the praising person in return.

"Would YOU like me, if I liked you?"

Oh! That question, ehehe~ playing safe, isn't he? Kouri wasn't naive about the matter of romance, crush, and sex anymore. It was rather unusual for a little girl like her to know so much about this kind of thing, but after experiencing an attempted rape from a squire once; one could understand that the little girl was forcibly matured.

She also got stares from some men, both in the city or in the Bronze Woods who seemed to find her child-like body attractive. A hunter tried to pounce her once, but once he phased through her and realized she was a phantom; he ran with his tail between his legs. This world was truly petched up, this was why Kouri couldn't move on, she wouldn't until every evil people in this world was utterly dead and butchered.

Back to the topic at hand, Kouri knew the boy was trying to play safe; he asked a question to her question. She decided to humor him, she inched closer and her hair ribbons magically disappeared. The very long white ethereal strands then softly wrapped around the boy like a white blanket

"Ehehe~ that depends, for starters, we even haven't introduce ourselves yet. I'm Fubuki Kouri, you can call me Kouri, what's your name?" Her tone was cheerful, but one could feel the mischievous undertone beneath it; it was like a seductress inhabiting a child's body. "Perhaps I could like you, you know~"

Draven quivered, as the long strands of hair slowly enveloped his ethereal body. He had long since lost a sense of touch, but he could still feel her soulmist touching his. Was this love? This terribly warm, and somehow fuzzy, feeling, that was quickly spreading throughout his body? He couldn't get enough of it, and wished to forever remain within her gentle grasp. He lost sense of time and space, while listening to her sweet voice, ever so kind.

She had asked him a question, and he would answer her, he would always answer. 'It's Nathanael... that's my name... I'm from Nyka.' He closed the distance between them, hardly wondering why he had given her his premortem name. He could feel his heart beating; the unknown feeling enthralled him.

If only he had known her before, before he had died. Would she have made his life bearable? She couldn't have: his grandparents had allowed none to know of his existence, nor would they have accepted him, the spawn of his father, the man who had murdered their only pride, to have been happy. Still, he would have loved to have known her, before either of them had suffered the agonies they had left behind.

Now, as he looked into her eyes, and smiled, he couldnt help but ask her: Will you stay with me? Will you stay with me forever?
He was clueless about romance, love and sex. Nonetheless, he needed her, he needed that girl, who had playfully showed him kindness and actively reached out to him. She wouldnt leave, like his father had done, would she?

Summer Crush, meeting a lovely Girl ( Fubuki Kouri )

Fubuki Kouri

Kouri was obviously in the lead of the situation, the smaller, shorter, and younger female was leading the larger, taller, and older male. This proved that you couldn't judge someone's character based on their physical appearance alone, even more true at this particular case because both of them are ghosts... who didn't have true corporeal forms. The ghost girl ever so slowly pulled herself to the phantom boy and gently hugged him, now he was wrapped with her hair and her arms.

She nuzzled her left cheek against his chest as he spoke his name "Ehehe~ Nathanael... Can I call you Nathan? Kouri looked upwards and put her chin on his ethereal chest. Kouri also loved touching another ghost, even though they couldn't provide body warmth, because she didn't have to materialize herself. "Nyka? That monk city?" The first thing that came to her mind when she heard Nyka was its famous warrior monks.

Will you stay with me? Will you stay with me forever?

Huh? Kouri slowly released Nathan and gave him a questioning look, it seemed her attempts at seduction was going too well for her own comfort. Only a few chimes together and Nathan was basically asking her hand in marriage. According to Vantha traditions, Kouri was four to three years short of qualifying the marriageable age of sixteen.

She put up her right hand near her mouth and stifled a giggle, Nathan was the funny sort, she had to admit. "You're asking me to marry you? Ehehe~ We haven't even know each other yet and besides, I'm too young, you know~ Us Vanthas are usually married between the age of sixteen to twenty years" Whether it applied to her current ghostly state was another matter entirely, Kouri hoped she didn't hurt his feelings "But we can be friends, you know~ friends are good!"

She had stood there, with her head nuzzled against his chest, while he had spoken. He had told her his name, and she had called him Nathan. He had told her of his home town, and she had sounded confused. It had been perfect, just like the stories told by travelling bards. But then he had asked her a question, and she had separated herself from him, while giving him a questioning look.

"You're asking me to marry you? Ehehe~ We haven't even know each other yet and besides, I'm too young, you know~ Us Vanthas are usually married between the age of sixteen to twenty years"

Marriage? He had looked at her in confusion. Why had she spoken of it? He hated it, the idea of marriage: it was something that ruined the lives of young women, being 'sold' to the highest bidder, and scared potential lovers, at the idea of losing ones freedom. If his mothers marriage hadnt been arranged, she wouldn't have been so desperate as to look for love in the arms of a stranger, while he himself took his leave, in fear of being stuck to the woman he bore a child with.
Marriage was something for old men, who wished to take charge of their daughters lives... not for Draven. Stay with me, stay with me forever - in hindsight it sounded ridiculous, indeed very much like a marriage proposal. As he openened his mouth to correct her mistake, she spoke once more.

"But we can be friends, you know~ friends are good!"

This time she had sounded gentlier. She wished to be friends, and Draven himself wished for nothing more: although having lived for almost 40 years, he still lacked real friends. And she was a ghost as well, which meant that their friendship would last forever.

' Id love being friends,' he spoke as he closed some of the distance she had made in her attempt to escape from his 'marriage proposal'. 'I don't have many friends - and I didn't have any in my past life. So ... I'd really love being friends!' he continued, looking into her crimson red eyes. '... Would you like to ... do something fun?' he asked after a few moments of doubt: he had really just met her, but then again ... he had never had a ghost-friend before, and he was growing a bit tired of scaring old ladies all by himself.

"....." Nathan's quick answer somewhat worried her, she practically got Nathan by the palm of her ethereal hands now, she truly did want to be friends with him, but how quick he was to accept her offer brought a small amount of distraught to Kouri's mind.

What if an evil manipulative person tried to take advantage of Nathan's overly-friendly attitude? Or worse yet, an evil Spiritist exorcised Nathan by tricking him? Kouri flicked her hair and put her right hand to her waist as if silently scolding him for his behavior. "You know, you perhaps need to learn to be more... cautious, what if I'm an evil ghost, hmmm? I could kill you, you know" She warned him.

"I don't have many friends - and I didn't have any in my past life. So ... I'd really love being friends!"

Oh so that's why... His childhood was the opposite of Kouri in terms of friends it seemed, Vanthas had close relationships with their kin and being a singer, Kouri naturally had lots of friends and peers, both her age and older. Nathan's lack of friends in life and his loneliness was most likely the cause for him to act as he did. The first logical step was to of course, gain a true friend of his own, and Kouri could take that role.

"Would you like to ... do something fun?"

I would love to! But eh... I have a job at the Flower Stand... Kouri made a thinking expression, weighting the pros and cons of skipping job today today. Ah! I'm sure Madame Atta wouldn't mind~ I already done a lot of job for her~ Kouri's abilities and powers made her job of gathering flowers from the Bronze Woods a very easy job, she could fly, manipulate multiple objects, and disregard the dangers of the wilderness.

"Sure! What do you want to do? Ehehehe~"

Draven had awaited her answer anxiously: he really wanted to be friends with her, but perhaps she wasn't that interested in being his friend. He didn't even really know her; she was just a beautiful girl he'd met wandering throughout the streets of Syliras, whom he had started a 'conversation' with. She could even be one of those 'mad' ghosts, who spend their time torturing the life of humans. No...she seemed far to kind to be able to hurt someone.

"Sure!

Her answer had suprised him, lost in thoughts he had almost forgotten that he had indeed asked her a question. He smiled. She had agreed to go and have some fun together... finally he'd be able to spend some time with another ghost.

What do you want to do? Ehehehe~"

He closed his eyes, a thinking expression on his face. What could they do? He had no idea; It wasn't hard though, to come up with things they couldn't do: grab a bite, go swimming ... The list was endless. Things they could do, were a bit harder to find.

' Wanna ... ~ scare someone a bit? ' he eventually asked. At the very least it was something he occasionally enjoyed: scaring some old people by possessing their tabby cat and making it speak in a made-up language was a personal favorite of him. He never meant them any harm though! ' I know these old people ... ~ they've got a tabby cat, and ... well, we could give them a bit of a scare?' he asked again, a bit nervous: not all ghosts liked playing with the 'living' and she might as well be very much against it.

"Huuuuh?" Kouri raised her eyebrow and slightly cocked her head to the side, she also put both of her hands to her waist in an unamused manner. Did Nathan suggested for them to scare old people? Kouri already killed numerous animals and humans for Morwen's sake, scaring old people was like... extremely boring. "That's boring..." She flicked her hair and heaved a sigh, it seemed Draven needed to know on what true fun is.

"Why don't we just... you know..." Kouri wanted to say 'murder some bad people in the Woods' but it seemed it would shock the poor boy so she toned down her offer "scare some thugs at the Great Bazaar or you know... ehehe... kill some wolves or bears or mountain lions? It's fun you know~ I usually help hunters that way~" Some of the hunters appreciated the ghost giving them an easy kill, while some was just too afraid of her.

"What do you say?" With her innocent smile, she put her hands behind her back and waited for the boy's answer.

OOCJust a warning, if you read her personality tab, you will know that she has severe Conduct Disorder so don't be surprised if Kouri talks about morbid things as if they were fun and games
