Character Concept
Appearance
Face and Form
Of the most obvious things that give away Arysana's Inarta heritage, her fair skin tone and wild copper coloured hair are those most apparent (NOTE: her hair is more orange than red, the model and the pictures used are merely because she fits the profile, the hair colour is not quite the same).
Her body is slightly more curvy and stocky than the average, attributed to the young woman's appetite and slightly thicker build, in no ways ‘petite.’
Height and weight wise, she is 5'5 and 60kg, respectively. Her facial features contrast between soft and sharp: her nose structure boasting a somewhat curved dorsum and 'button' appearance, her eyes are the same as her mother's, severe and sharp, with the iris bearing the colour of olive green.
Scars
She has a faint scar that cuts diagonally across her left cheek, beginning at the mid of her nose and ending mid-jaw. Although she is known to quietly claim that she wears the scar like a badge of honour, she is known to let her fringe sweep over and hide it, earned when she took a high fall in ensuring that her younger sister did not.
Clothing
Clothing wise, she is rarely picky. Though she does not shy away from the wearing of a skirt or dress, she tends wear some form of shorts or leggings underneath such that she does not find herself in unfavourable should the mood strike her for a climb. Her tendency to wearing loose clothing, though pants in particular, with a myriad of beaded hair pieces is attributed to her growing homesickness.

Profile
Personality
As a young woman Arysana finds herself rather unattached to the world. She is fickle in her interests, often jumping from one discipline to another under the guise of trying to find her 'niche'.
She has a tendency to be fiercely loyal to those she chooses, especially family members and close friends. Her attitude deviates slightly, becoming more hot headed and blunt with those she either finds irritating or threatening, neither really being able to take a joke nor make one. She mellows down much more with those she is familiar with, taking a genuine care for their lives and issues, with would-be jabs turning playful and insults brushed off with a giggle and an eye roll.
Unfortunately for those that meet and infuriate her on sight, she requires time and keen thought to get over misunderstandings and grudges, and is known to seek someone out a week after a dispute to give a bitter and grumbled apology, before slowly beginning to warm up to them once more.
She is also noted to be quite proud of her work, and doesn’t take well to any who undermine her efforts or studies, or speaks poorly of those she acknowledges to be senior in skill and talent. It was this aspect that drove her towards wishing to be a teacher herself, though recent friendship and debates have lent her to think otherwise.
When it comes to giving introductions, she rarely gives her full name. Having spent her childhood in Wind Reach, she was always just 'Sana' or ‘Ary,’ and prefers to be addressed as such. Her last name is known usually only to those that require it for documentation, with the young woman finding the whole thing little more than an inconvenient mouthful.

Ethics and Morals
She has a wavering moral compass, finding herself doubting her own beliefs, especially when it comes to act of killing, and whether or not killing one for killing is justice, or just a pretty term for revenge. Even though she in no longer a citizen of Wind Reach, she still cannot bring herself to eat any feathered beast - and holds an adoration for almost all of such creatures – and still very much treat their kind as sacred beings.
She is known to outright loathe any who delves into deceit and attempt to dance around her with words, finding any who are not forward with her to be ones which she can simply not trust, and otherwise does not understand any who chooses to hide their feelings and keep them in ‘check,’ save for violent bouts of anger which she herself is often prone to.

Passions and Interests
Possibly the only practice that she has ever retained a keen interest in is that of magic, with the Arysana enthralled by both the theory and practice of the subject (Initially attracted to it by the thrill and danger that comes from it, as though a substitute for the wildness of her youth in Wind Reach).
Within the different practices of magic, she is taken with glyphing, shielding, and Reimancy, although she finds herself hesitant in the use of the latter, not fussed on the idea of adding more scars to her body, and knowing all too well her own self-destructive tendencies.
The first strand of reimancy she took up was that of earth, finding an innate love for the element and its sheer power – such a choice having several fellow students lose a 10 Gold Miza gamble, with the general consensus of her peers betting that she’d push for fire.
Another interest that she has maintained is that of cryptography, something she took up as a means to help herself try and understand why people believe that there are secrets worth keeping.

Religion
Arysana was never one to care or find time for the Gods and Goddesses, seeing them as being far higher than herself in all aspects, and thought herself incapable of understanding them. However, as seasons changed and new acquaintances made, she has found herself reading all books devoted to religion that she had time for, slowly developing her beliefs along the way, and coming to a realisation that she’d been infatuated with several domains for the greater part of her life.
Even with her growing knowledge and understanding of the pantheon, the reimancer's sudden plunge into religion has her caught praying to a new God or Goddess every moon, whether or she keeps up her worship depending heavily on the city's own most popular deities, and Arysana's own emotional response as she learns of their natures and domains, and their personal impacts.
Semele was the first God or Goddess that Arysana truly admired, the awe of the Goddess provoked after visiting a place called ‘Semele’s Cavern’ in the Misty Peaks of Lhavit. It was in this cavern that Arysana was struck by beauty and peace, spending the greater part of time meant for mediation instead in prayer and whispers of the splendor that surrounded her. On many a occasion, Arysana has been unable to prevent herself from sending a short prayer in reverence to the goddess before practicing earth reimancy.
Zulrav was the second of the Divine to come to Arysana’s attention, a meeting with a Drykas stirring later thought of their people, and having the reimancer seek to learn more of their kind herself, and therein learning that he was portrayed as the lover of Semele in their culture. From there, Arysana spiraled in her worship, holding fast to desires of enlightenment and her love and adoration for the winds, and how much they reminded her of home (Wind Reach).
Leth himself is worshiped for the moon that lights the skies at night, and how Arysana has found it calming company throughout the entirety of her life, and one of the few constants as her life has shifted and changed.
Akija is someone whom Arysana worships in light of her dominion over secrets, and the young reimancer’s desire to break codes and learn that which someone believes should be left unknown, and help her overcome her own perceived naivety surrounding her values of truth and straightforwardness. Another reason is due to Arysana’s love of the night, and how her own world ripples and springs into life under Leth’s watch.
Syna is worshipped a little less than Leth, and usually in accompaniment with Akija, for the same burn and passion to seek out the truth beneath the lies and that which is hidden. Though Arysana has an admiration for the Goddess’ warmth and vitality, often blissfully basking in her rays, her own hot tempered personality meant that she too often burned herself when seeking time to herself and thoughts.
Ivak is by far the most worshiped of the Gods by Arysana, his place as the god of emotional upheaval being the primary cause for such, though his reign over volcanoes, such as the one that she herself lived in for a decade also plays a major role. Her initial thought of the God was more of a cautionary tale, one of anger and power and the importance of self control, all of which were important to the reimancer's own life and living. As she has grown in knowledge of the God, she was quick to find herself taking a fiercely defensive stand point of the events that shaped Mizahar to the world it is today.

Chronology
Parents
Arysana's mother, Lyvra, was a an Inarta of the Avora caste, her practice being that as one of the communities more gifted glassworkers, specialising her work into the jeweler profession. In regards to the young woman's looks, she was rather average; her auburn hair short and wild, her skin pale, her body slim and of average height. Her only real variation to the norm being sharp and severe facial features, giving her a look of unrivalled arrogance. This appearance was unbecoming of her, as she was more of the gentler and humble people, known to quietly condone violence (at least, within her place of work) and stay well away from any fray.
Arysana's father, in contrast, was a young human man by the name of Zekiel Elthorne, a man who was serving as one of the more frequent sea fairing trader's guards, but also well versed in weapon forgery.
He was often joked with and mocked by his fellows due to own unfitting physique - his face rounder than most, but his body thick and muscular. Combined with his fair skin, olive green eyes, and rich golden locks, he looked somewhat childish and immature for his age and demeanor. His conflicting appearance carried on into his personality, with the man somehow retaining a child-like wonder of the world itself, but a rather cynical opinion of the people (especially those of his kind) that populated it.
It was in the first few days of Zekiel's first arrival in Wind Reach that the two met, with the main merchant, a man who went by the name of Itou, having asked him to escort him to Lyvra's place of work. Zekiel only understood his requested presence at the sight of what he quickly learned to be a common occurrence; a bloody knife fight between an older and younger Inarta, concluding in what seemed to be the older man's death.
Zekiel's opinion of Lyvra was not very high at first, with the young woman of a mere 16 years of age's condescending look giving him the impression that she looked down upon those not of her kind, and the cool care in which she went about her novice work. However, his negative thoughts were cleared before they could truly take root, with Lyvra merrily greeting Itou as an new friend, and quickly inviting the men to join her later that afternoon. Zekiel and Lyvra were quickly taken with each other, and when Itou and the other merchants set across the sea for Lhavit come next in spring, they did so without one of their guards.

Childhood
Arysana was the first born of the pair, and the eldest of twins, with her younger brother given the name of Arryn. There was much dispute in the naming of the children, with Lyvra arguing that their daughter's name was far too wordy, caving only when Zekiel claimed that the name had sentimental meaning to his family, and that 'She'll probably just end up with a nickname, anyway'.
However, tragedy struck the family early, with Arysana's younger twin brother passing due to ill health some weeks after birth. This event caused Lyvra to fall into a state of depression, refusing to lay with Zekiel for over a year, fearing the death of another child. Many whisperings quickly came, most blaming the premature death on the mixing of blood, with Lyvra’s social circle comprising of rather a traditionalist kind of Inarta.
Such hushed words prompted the woman to become avidly religious and defensive, not falling pregnant again for a further two years - a boy and girl of the names Kade and Kana then born. The babes were born small and bald, and Lyvra and Zekiel showered them with care and attention, with the young couple fearing they may lose another child. Due to the constant care of her younger siblings, Arysana was often left to her own devices or in the care of older children; not that the copper haired girl minded much at all.
Her extended periods of time unwatched allowed the child to explore her world with vigour and broadness, even more than some of the slightly older children she new. Even as a toddler, she was quick to shadow the elder children, and at times the Yasi, of the community, and rarely sought the constant attention of her parents. She quickly took to her own little games, one of which being the picking of an interesting Yasi and following them around, often jumping from person to person should she begin to bore. When the twins came to the age of around two, the fact that the pair both bore their father's golden hair was evident.
Panic and paranoia hit Lyvra like a ton of rock, having had routinely told herself that Zekiel likely had Inarta blood within him, and that the two would soon boast red locks, and the young mother hastily resorted to the avid use of elaborate hair pieces and coverings, as though to give them the appearance of having traces and streaks of copper and red throughout their hair, and to ensure that their submerging into Inarta culture were fiercely apparent, and, even more so, as to state that they were not born of a Dek or Chiet mother.
Zekiel did his part by toning down any mention of his own laws or beliefs, effectively denying himself of any heritage that was not that of Wind Reach, and Arysana aided by keeping her mouth shut and eye watchful.
Eventually, many of those close to Lyvra took keen notice of the twin's natural colour of hair, and even some of those closest to her shunned and avoided the family like wild fire – with the twins showing a dislike for heights, and required intense coaxing and coddling to get over their fear of birds, upon their throwback appearance. Even Arysana was effected, as the games she played the other children turned competitive, and her tolerance for light hearted jokes diminished incredibly. She still loved the culture something shocking, though it was her fondness for the people that was quick to diminish.

Adolescences
The final straw came when the twins were nine, and Arysana just turned twelve. Although all three having lived in the youth quarter for some years, Zekiel and Lyvra were active their children’s lives, with the former unable to bend to the custom of allowing his children to grow up detached from him, and the later succumbing to anxiety in regards to her constant worry for Kade and Kana’s treatment and well being.
Paranoid that her youngest children would lack a skill valued that would have them become something more than mere Chiet (Though she did not value Chiet lesser than herself, she was opposed the thought of any of her children missing out on the respect she felt they deserved) or worse, Dek (given their lack of red hair, worsened by the common knowledge that they had an elder brother, and have an elder sister who had/have the ‘pureblood look’) even with her own intervention, and having harboured ill thoughts about Wind Reach for many years; Lyvra deciding it best to leave the city, against Zekiel's own judgment.
The family left the Wind Reach after the stock piling of goods and crafts, managing to bribe a merchant's vessel into taking the family with them to Lhavit; the use of name dropping and 'gifting' of wares sealing the deal, and the selling of more racking up enough coin to start their new lives. The journey was hazardous and difficult, but not impossible, with none of the family members getting out unscathed, and the caravan group itself losing one of their guards overboard. Lyvra twisted and rolled her left ankle multiple times as she tried to deal with constant sea-sickness, Zekiel often scratching his arms and legs as he took on unfamiliar work, the twins' feet blistered quickly, and Arysana suffered a severe facial scar due to a high fall that would have claimed her sister if not for her own interference.
Once arriving in the city, the family adopted Zekiel's surname, 'Elthorne', and immediately sought contact with his family, taking up residence within the home of one of Zekiel's aunts, a much older, widowed woman named Lyanne Fletcher.
Lhavit, at the time, was wrought with poverty and crime, and Zekiel struggled to find work - somehow convincing an old friend to give him long shifts with little pay. Lyvra did her bit to earn a little extra coin for the household, taking up her old craft as a jeweler in one of the few surviving stores, she herself working many hours for few coins. Due to their parents' constant working, it was up to Lyanne to raise the three children for that time being, and even at the age of fifty-six, did so with a caution, vigour and enthusiasm.
Lyane herself spent much of her time learning with the children, trying to break the wall between the languages of Nari and Common, soon not only having the children well learned in the common tongue, but also rekindling her once profound knowledge in the Nari language and lore. She also restricted the children's actions, rarely allowing them to go outside, instead turning the old, run down home into a school of sorts - teaching the children stories and tales of history, with only Arysana really taking to experience.
The household struggled for a good little while in Lhavit, their luck only turning up with the return of Aysel and Talora, wherein order finally came upon the city. Lyvra and Zekiel heavily monitored the state of the city as justice was served, restricting their children's freedom when they knew executions were being carried out. It was several months before the city seemed to calm back down again, with both Lyvra's and Zekiel's pay increasing dramatically afterwards.
With Lhavit under proper care, Lyane gave her great nieces and nephews more freedom around the city. Kade and Kanna took to the sudden freedom with glee, quickly befriending several local teenagers, far too young to fully grasp the strife that the city had been in. Arysana was only slightly far less ignorant than her younger siblings, and had, many times before order was restored in the city, wished to return to Wind Reach. Although she had come to despise many aspects of the Inarta, especially their elitism and prejudice, living in a city that held a high regard for her people had her feeling more proud of her heritage. Even though she never picked up another bow in her later years, she still found herself very much in love with heights and climbing, building on her young childhood talents as she climbed and explored the many trees, slight cliffs, and gardens within the city.
It wasn't until Arysana was almost seventeen years and Lyane passed away, the old woman losing her life in her sleep after a fall, that Zekiel and Lyvra found a need to move house. Although Lhavit was in a state far better than it was when they arrived, it was still affected by the scars of old command, and the family took caution to a whole new level as they moved to an area closer to the work of both parents. In the move, much of Lyane's old valuables were packed away and given to other relatives, Arysana herself only able to a single charm-bracelet keepsake from her beloved great aunt.
Arysana's late teenage years had seen many things: Kana becoming invested in their father's work, apprenticing as a smith the second the young girl got a chance, and otherwise helping out whenever the opportunity arose, and Kade's growing moral compass and short joining with the Shinya was balance was restored to Lhavit. It was in this time that Arysana first stepped into the discipline of magic, taking up cryptography and studying glyph symbols. Some half year after Lyane’s death, Arysana approached her father and mother about taking up classes in reimancy, taking a further half a year to convince them that it was not a subject that she would drop once it became 'too hard', and that she would not go about almost killing herself.
Still quite unwilling to allow their eldest to leave, Lyvra and Zekiel had Arysana stay at home during her initial study, only allowing her to move into the student housing when she was of the age of 18 – some two years held back longer than many of her peers, such a subject taboo in her presence, lest the speaker wishes for a punch in the face .

Post-Creation Adulthood
Having already been at a student of the Dawn Tower for some few seasons, Arysana's greatest change was adapting to life within Tower's Respite, and balancing study with her work and chores. She was quick to take work with the Dawn Tower, becoming the personal assistant of Professor Armitican, an older crone of a man with a penchant for arrogance a well known dislike for those self-destruction.
From there she branched out with her magic and skills, taking keen and avid learning in meditation and shielding as a means of showing up her peers and teachers. Not only that, but she also took up fortune telling and teaching – both in the aim of vexing her professor (Who claimed that the former was a waste of time and utterly useless, and to parrot her learnings in the later to call Armitican out on his shyke teaching and people skills)
