Spring 85th, 513AV

Jesslyn wasn't in a good mood anymore. Even after her three day brake from blowing up she still hadn't left the house. Doing that would have required having motivation. And right now Jesslyn didn't have it.

But she had finally put on her shirt. Still had no pants on but it was better than three days before where she had answered the door in her skippers. Much to the amusement and horror of the poor couple who had seen it.

Jesslyn pulled her legs up on the chair and brushed off the bottom of her feet from the glass and dust. She could feel some of the dried paint from her floor stuck to the bottom of her feet but knew it wasn't coming off anytime soon.

Jesslyn slowly placed on her left boot and then her right boot. She didn't know what day is was or what time it was but it had to be sometime in the morning. Jesslyn didn't remember going to sleep nor did she remember getting up.

Sighing Jesslyn placed her feet down and stood. She had wanted to get some food in her system but she ran out of easy rations yesterday. Or the day before yesterday? Jesslyn shook her head and shuffled to the hearth. Setting some water on the coal embers Jesslyn shuffled back to her chair. She didn't want to be so close to the warmth.

Jesslyn knew her house was a mess. It was worse than usual. Some paintings were destroyed with holes or cuts or splattered with paint. Her walls were more destroyed with color that the elegant canvas it used to be. If she ran her fingers along the wall she could feel some wet globs of paint. And her floor was full of glass, pant, brushes, canvases, and other supplies of art.

Jesslyn has almost cut herself a couple time's from tripping. She had gone back to shuffling her feet slowly to make sure she stayed safe. Though it didn't matter to her much if she did get hurt.

Lorelle is uncharacteristically happy this spring day. Her eyes shine a bright, warm golden color as if to stress this fact even more. She walks through the snow wearing her purple shirt and dark pants with her boots upon her feet. She holds her coat in her hands in front of her, not feeling that she needs it. Her hair hangs down in a mane of black and purple curls down her back, being pushes back by the wind as she walks.

A random melody utters from her throat as she she walks. She puts rather ridiculous words to it, making her sound quite silly to those who are not her.
"Happiness cannot describe this unusual joy that echoes from the corners of my mind ..." she sings loudly and continues with things like, "The snow is white, white as the cotton that makes clothes. The air upon my back may be cold, but I really don't care." Other such foolishness is sang out, but the idea is there. She sings what she thinks.

Finally, feeling as if it has taken her forever, Lor reaches the steps of the Skyglow hold. She is meeting up with her friend from the ice rink, Jesslyn. They have planned to spend the evening together and Lor intends to do just that. Little does she know of Jess's not so great mood.

The Vantha enters the hold and finds Jess's Arvinta within it. She walks up to the door and gives it a a knock, hopping to be answered by the owner within.

Jesslyn stood by the hearth with what felt like a clean cup and what was left of family herbs. Slowly pouring the hot water into her cup Jesslyn set the kettle off to the side and used the end of a brush to stir her herb drink. She knew she was supposed to siphon out the leaves but felt too lazy to do so. So, uncaring.

Picking up the warm cup Jesslyn set to heading back to her chair. By now there was a path that she could walk along if she read the vibrations as she walked. She had walked back and forth several times to the hearth to check up on the water and really it was dragging her feet. So her boots had made a clearer pathway for her to walk more soundly to.

Just after sitting down Jesslyn hears the singing of a woman and thinks idly,
"What a horrible song." Which actually turns out to be her speaking out loud. Jesslyn muses over that fact but shrugs it off. Taking a sip of the dark colored drink Jesslyn nods her head. "This will do." The singing continued to get closer until it was just outside her door and Jesslyn was tempted to pretend no one was home.

Because Jesslyn, was definitely not in the mood to deal with happy singing people. Most likely a Snowsong. Taking another sip Jesslyn didn't fight back the sigh of frustration. But there was still desperation there. Because Jesslyn still wanted company to save her from her mopping.

Setting down her drink on the chair after standing Jesslyn turned back to the door and started to shuffle her feet. Or more... drag them. Shards of glass and splinters of wood made small noises as they were moved off to the side. Getting to the door Jesslyn made a weak attempt to brush her hair back out of her face. It was truly a tangled mess. With paint and knots all around Jesslyn simply gave up with a huff.

After opening to door Jesslyn finally realized she hadn't payed attention to the blur of the person. And as she recalled who it belonged to she almost made a move to shut the door and hide. Lorelle or Lor.
"What day is it?" She mumbled under her breath. Hoping it was quiet enough.

Jesslyn pulled a tight smile,
" Lor.. how..." Jesslyn paused and leaned against the door frame, making sure to keep the door close to her side to hide the damage. "How are you doing?" Jesslyn's voice didn't shake really, but it did sound frail. Jesslyn couldn't remember the last time she took her medication so it was hard for her to keep her eyes open. Jesslyn was willing to bet it looked like she had a rough night or two.

As Lorelle waits for Jess to answer the door, her pointless humming and singing ends as badly as it began. Her mood remains happy however, as she just can not shake it. So unlike her, yet she finds that she likes it for a change. Not that she is an overall gloomy person all the time, she just is not usually this happy.

Finally, after what seems like a very long time, the door is answered. Lor's happiness almost turns to full on worry when she sees Jess. The girl looks as though she has just come back from taking a long jaunt through a dirty swamp and didn't bother to take the proper gear with her. She also looks as though she can't keep her eyes open very much.

"It is the eighty fifth. Remember, we planned to go hang out today?" Lor answers the girl's first question. She then listens to the rest of what her friend has to say. She smirks at the questions. "Well I am doing great, the question is how are you doing? Are you alright? You seem to be a bit .. well out of it," Lor asks with a worried treble in her voice, "Jess, when was the last time you got yourself cleaned up? Not to be mean or blunt, but your a mess. What happened?"

Lorelle is truly worried about the girl, which is saying something as the girl really doesn't worry about to many people like she is now. She is never truly, genuinely worried about anyone other than herself. That is, until now.

It seemed Jesslyn wasn't as quiet as she thought. Lor practically sung the date and asked Jesslyn if she remembered their plans. Jesslyn wanted to say she didn't remember but she did. In truth she only forgot the days and simply wished Lor to appear out of nowhere.

Jesslyn could feel Lor smirk and can feel some life ease towards her. But as Lorelle continues to talk it's apparent that she is worried for Jesslyn. And really, could Jesslyn blame her? Of course she couldn't. Jesslyn was and still is a mess. Jesslyn wasn't, per say, out of it but she was something close. Actually she felt worse than out of it. She felt like she lost it. Whatever it was or is.

And then Lor asked what happened. Jesslyn couldn't say she felt.. angry or sad currently mostly just drained. She knew she needed to tell someone, though a good bunch of people knew. But she wanted to tell someone. Finally making up her mind Jesslyn stood p and moved back, opening up the door so not only could Lorelle enter but also see the damage.

Jesslyn gave a tired smile and nodded,
"You're going to want to take a seat. Just watch your step." Jesslyn moved away from the door and dragged her feet to her chair, grabbing her drink she moved back and took a seat on the clear pathway her feet had made, "First I'll tell you... then we can decide on what to do for the day."

Lorelle is rather relieved that Jess is letting her in. In all honest the dark haired Vantha was sure her Skyglow friend was going to let her in at all. She watches as Jess moves back from the door and then carefully pushes the door open to walk in herself. She takes a moment to just look around and see where she should step seeing as she has been told to watch her step. Lor tries not to gasp as she sees the mess Jess has made of her home. Being a fairly neat person herself, this is rather hard to see.

Lor makes no comment though and carefully walks in the room. She closes the door behind her and walks further into the room. She can hear the crunch off shattered glass under her boots and winces at the sound. It is not a sound she is used to. It sounds like fresh snow, but crisper and sharper. It makes her cringe.

A seat is finally able to be found amongst the mess and Lorelle sits herself upon it. She looks to Jess and gives a small smile.
"Alright Jess," she says, relaxing a bit, "Lay it on me. What happened?" She is ready to be here and support her friend and also possibly help her make some order out of the chaos she has created around her. First and foremost though, Lorelle is here as a friend and wants to help Jess get out of this, what ever this is.

Jesslyn waited patiently for Lor to take a seat. Over this time alone it was one of the things she could do very well, wait. She had waited and waited and now she didn't have to. But she felt herself continuing to do so. Simply because that's what she felt her life had become.

Jesslyn was relieved when Lor made no comment on her home or anything to be exact. Jesslyn can feel the air is tight and it only becomes tighter when Lor cringes. Jesslyn can't see her but she can feel it. It's like everything is hooked to lines and Jesslyn can feel where one line is being pulled extremely tight. Almost ready to snap.

Lor sits and asks Jesslyn to explain. Jesslyn sits there for a chime or two before she feels her body give a shake. It's hard even now not to allow herself to get angry and sad and just... wrong. But she wants to tell someone. And that someone is Lorelle.

"My bestfriends name was Sylvia Skyglow. She was originally a Whitevine but she moved here after marrying into it. Sometime during the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring she started to become distant. I would see less of her and she would start to talk less and less with me. Then around the middle of Spring she just stopped. I never heard anything from her for weeks and when I finally did, about 2 weeks ago, it wasn't really from her but her husband.

"She had gotten pregnant but she knew something was wrong. She had stopped going near me because she knew I would be able to sense it and seeing as I was in a tight place around that time, she left me alone. She's dead. There was complications with the baby and they had to go in and take it out early. When they pulled the baby out they found out it was stone. And after she had been fixed up things started getting bad for her.

"When they did the exam that found that she had tears in her uterus and she internally bled out. I lost my bestfriend because she wanted a child."
If Jesslyn could cry she would. But all that came out of her was dry sobs, "But that's not it. So i had started to see a man named Soren Frostfawn. He was kind and just... the perfect guy! But not too long after the news of Sylvia, he disappears. No ones knows if he's dead, alive, wounded, or anything. There's nothing that points to where he could have gone if he left. And nothing to show for if he is dead."

Jesslyn grabbed Lor's hand, "I'm upset at them yes. And it's evident I had my brake down." Jesslyn waved around the room, "But I'm just angry and aggrivated most. I want to cry Lor. I want to cry so bad it hurts. But nothing happens. For all the sadness I carry I can't let it out."

Jesslyn let out a whimper at the emotions that flew through her. Her eyes taking on a sick look. Her iris now ringed with blood red and what looked like veins in the iris. It looked un-godly and scary. Something that comes for you in the dark in the tundra or the unknown forests. Jesslyn whimpered again and clutched Lor, "Why can't I cry Lor? Who's is sick enough to not let someone be able to let out an emotion? Especially something so harsh and wrong."

Jesslyn's words are hard to hear. Lorelle didn't think she could feel emotion for another person so strongly, but she does in this moment. This moment, hearing this story, it actually makes her tear up a bit. Not something that she does often. It takes a lot to get her feeling like this and even more for her to acknowledge the feelings, let alone express them. She forces the majority of the emotions away though and lets Jess to her hand.

She thinks about all that has been said. She didn't know Sylvia but Soren, Soren she met in the past. She remembers it was spring and they met in the Frostfawn stable. Not much really happened that Lorelle remembers, but she remembers the name and never seeing him again after that day. She didn't know Jess knew him, let alone liked him. She is almost angry with him though for making her friend's already hurt self even worse with his disappearance. She knows that feeling, it is not a good feeling. Lorelle remembers when she was seventeen and thought she had fallen in love with a man only to find him to disappear and be found dead later. A shiver runs up Elle's spine when she remembers this little fact about her live. Not exactly a pleasant memory.

Suddenly angry with Soren and sad about Sylvia, Lorelle's eyes twirl with her mix of emotions. Emotions she tries to suppress. She does not need to make things worse for her friend that wants to cry but cannot. She looks at Jesslyn with soft, trying to be caring eyes. She gives her hand a squeeze.
"I don't know why you can't cry Jesslyn and if I could, I would give you the tears you so desire," she says in the best caring voice she has. It is a bit shaky, but soft and gentle. It isn't a voice she uses often. There isn't much in this world that she actually cares about. Jesslyn is probably one of the only things.

"I am not sure if you want my sympathy Jess, but I am sorry all this has happened to you. I cannot pretend that I know how it all feels, but some of it I can relate to and I know the feelings you are probably feeling right now aren't fun, but I want you to know that I am here for you. Morwen willing, I am not going anywhere anytime soon," she says, the caring tone slipping out of her voice completely as it becomes more soft than anything. "How about we go and get your mind off of this? Distract your mind so you don't think on it all?" she suggests, not knowing what else to do or say. Her sympathy and emotions are falling back into their usual state of hiding as her eyes turn back to that neutral silverish purple color that they have most of the time. She still feels for Jesslyn, just the emotions aren't as strong and more easily suppressed and hidden. Just how Lorelle likes them.

Jesslyn felt Lor giver her hand a squeeze and Jesslyn let out a breath of air. She needed to get herself together. She really did. Jesslyn didn't want her sympathy but she did need a friend and she wouldn't have that friend if she snapped at her.

Jesslyn nodded at the mention of getting her mind off things, it seemed the most reasonable thing she had heard in a long while. Jesslyn slowly let go of Lors hand and stood, " I want to get out of here as soon as possible Lor. So if you don't mind can we plan outside?" Jesslyn knew Lorelle would agree so she moved to the hearth and grabbed her pants. She pulled her shoes off before throwing on her pants and carefully cleaned the bottom of her feet before putting them back in her shoes, "Please tell me the paint damage is only on my clothes and not the cloak somewhere around here."

Jesslyn didn't know what she would do if there was paint on her cloak. Her mother and her foremothers had owned that cloak. It would kill her if there was. Jesslyn turned back to Lor and gave a small tight smile, "Do you have a hair tie or a bow or something? If no there should be a silver string on the table or on the floor near it."

The string had been one Sylvia had put in her hair when she did the updo for Jesslyn's date with Soren. He had liked her hair very much. Jesslyn still didn't know what it felt like. She didn't want to go out with her hair how it was now, she'd rather throw it up in a ponytail or a quick braid. "Can you do that braid that goes from the top of your head into a regular braid? I don't know what it's called."
