A suspicious figure enters Lhavit

The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

The figure walked along the dirt road, a few other travelers behind or infront of him. He lifted a pale hand from his pocket, adjusting the hood that hid his face.
He stretched his back as he strode to Lhavit's gates indifferently, casting a short glance down to the waters below, watching for a moment as the heavy waves crashed against the rocks, wondering what would happen if he lost his footing and fell.
He shook the daydream from his thoughts, keeping his head low, hiding his face from anyone who may glance at him for curiosity or otherwise.
The gate was close. He held his cloak against his torso, tight, approaching the guard. A line had formed in front of the gates that consisted of about seven others. The figure was in the back.
As the line got closer and closer to the guard, the figure prepared for the question. "Welcome to Lhavit, why have you come?" Unlike his normal routine, the figure decided to tell truth.
The figure was next. He tapped his foot impatiently on the beaten ground.
As the male in front of him entered the gates, the figure stepped forward.

"Hello, sir! Welcome to Lhavit, jewel of Kalea! What brings you to our beautiful city?" The guard bellowed in a deep voice.

The male took a long moment, thinking again about his response, second-guessing his decision, until finally answering.

"Compassion." He said in a scratchy, tired voice.
The guard smiled at the traveler, allowing him into the city.
Whether or not it is certain, or whether or not the answer will ever come to pass, for that matter, is unclear. The answer to your question does not yet exist. There is only, for now, perhaps.

One out of place.

"What a nice place, so clean, so tidy, so organized". So long had it been since the wondering spirit had seen such a magnificent little town, 'specially after such dreadful and toiling years of wandering. Hoverin' 'bout and around the little spook went, on a little tour of absolute sightseeing. The local landmarks, the towns offering and hospitality. Every little detail to be explored.

A sigh would exhale him from time to time, "Not a bad spot..."
A hint of both a forgotten sorrow would at times linger in his words.

Such a long time ago from being able to actually experience things like these.

For the time being, he'd freely roam the markets and the crowded streets, listening onto humoring conversation and admiring the local colors.

The figure was hunched over, hiding any aspect of his mortal form, but was watching the scene eagerly from under his hood.
He scanned the produce of the markets, admired the clean streets and the magnificent architecture.
He, most of all, studied the people. They seemed kind enough, with one or two harsh spirits thrown in, but even then were they still half-decent. Yes, this looked like home already.
Speaking of spirits, his eyes were drawn to a more-than-cheerful ghost, which was a sight to see.
He decided this character was a bit more radiant than the other civilians. Perhaps if he watched the ghost carefully from a distance, he would find out more about Lhavit.
Whether or not it is certain, or whether or not the answer will ever come to pass, for that matter, is unclear. The answer to your question does not yet exist. There is only, for now, perhaps.

"People seem nice enough, wonder if there's an open spot" Driftin' and floating around the market places, lingering among the people. Most would pass of the spirit as if he wasn't even there.

Nothing new, but he enjoyed to float aimlessly into conversations. Interesting topics, the living always talk about interesting topics.
He continued his little tour of the place, all the while feeling as if something else was there.

Besides the usual kelvics and Khani. He felt that there was another dead soul.
Lingering about.

"Another... Maybe like me!" He kinda' got excited at the thought. Even with the millennium of hopeless wandering. He'd never seen another dead before.

"Maybe... I'll make a friend"

The man lingered around his presence, watching the ghastly creature float, speaking to the living. There was but gossip and small-talk that could be picked up by his attentive ears.
He held his cloak close, ignoring the sun beating down on his new body.
He stayed a good twenty-five meters away at all times, seeming almost insignificant compared to the other souls that inhabited the marketplace. He feigned checking the produce when he picked up the ghost's comments.
"Another... Maybe like me! Maybe... I'll make a friend."
He almost cringed. Maybe the ghost was a bit too open...
Perhaps he would get the male in trouble...
He kept his distance, now cautious of the creature, careful as to not have to leave the beautiful city prematurely.
As for how the essence knew that Adeon was a "like" the spirit, he didn't question. All he knew was that he was in danger of being discovered.
Was the ghost too much trouble? He wondered silently, striding across the paved ground behind the spirit.
Not if I can observe him and find out how to fit in better...
Don't give up, he told himself...
Just keep searching...
