The Wilderness of Cyphrus is an endless sea of tall grass that rolls just like the oceans themselves. Geysers kiss the sky with their steamy breath, and mysterious craters create microworlds all their own. But above all danger lives here in the tall grass in the form of fierce wild creatures; elegant serpents that swim through the land like whales through the ocean and fierce packs of glassbeaks that hunt in packs which are only kept at bay by fires. Traverse it carefully, with a guide if possible, for those that venture alone endanger themselves in countless ways.

IT'S CLOBBERIN TIME
___________________________________________________________________________________________

oocI was very torn between winning or submitting in this fight... but this is fantasy after all, so why not indulge in a little glory? :)

For a very scary moment, Shausha wondered if her ribs would break before her pride. Her adversary hammered at her side, seeking submission. With her backup now occupied, she knew it was do or die. Her chubby, childish legs hooked around his side and she flipped him over. While turning him, she threw out a hand and accidentally held his own hand down, preventing him from breaking his fall. The thin boy's head whipped back and with a sickening crack, his skull met the ground. Dazed, he sat, swaying side to side. Panting, Shausha pulled one of his arms backwards and he breathlessly moaned out his surrender.

Shausha had hadHAD HAD! enough. Her side was in an excruciating amount of pain and these boys... grrrrrr... these boys. She stomped over to where Malvora was struggling. Shausha planted one foot, swung back the other, and promptly booted the brothers' snaky friend squarely in the head.

Caught by surprise, the boy stumbled sideways, clutching his head. He looked angrily at Shausha as he puffed up indignantly. Before acting, however, he looked around for his backup. Now seeing that both of his lifeguards were dispatched, the weasel deflated as quickly as he had inflated. He took a step back and was about to tear off down the hall, when Shausha caught him by the wrist.

"The fight's not over until you SUBMIT!" Shausha nodded gravely to Malvora as the boy looked wide eyed from one girl to the other. Once Malvora had given him the clobbering he deserved, Shausha let go of him and they watched him run away wailing, probably in search of his dignity.

She directed Malvora over to the cool pool of rainwater and they sat next to it... This time, side by side. Shausha cupped her hands and splashed water over her new friend's cuts. She picked little rocks from her hair and inspected what looked like a growing black eye.

After a few more minutes, Shausha sank into the shallow pool, submerging as much of her side as possible. Gingerly feeling her ribs, she sighed, "We'll have to fight another day. I'm about beat. Hey! Are you any good at hunting? We could go kill giant rats. I know where a ton are. "

Rough and Tumble Girls (Malvora)

Postby Malvora on July 10th, 2013, 3:58 pm

Once the boy had yowled out his submission and left wailing, the girl nodded to Shausha as she followed her wearily to the pool. She returned the favor by helping wash the dirt out of Shausha's cuts and finding the rocks that had tangled in her long, thick hair and that had gotten stuck to her body. Both of them were likely a mess, with claw and bite marks covering them. She could just imagine what her mother would say. Her father, well he wouldn't say anything, but he would doubtless be proud of his little warrior.

"I think so?" Malvora said as she was asked if she was good at hunting. She had a good idea as to how hunting would work, but hadn't put the ideas into practice, "but hunting sounds fun. I wish I could fly like you," she said wistfully as she admired Shausha's wings, "I bet that would definitely help with hunting." She looked at her own wing stubs in sadness. They were a bit torn from being scraped against the floor so much and they stung with cuts.

"Those boys," she grumbled as she scooped a handful of water to sooth the stinging of her stubs, "next time I see them I'll be bigger and I'll pummel them." She was determined that it would not be an empty threat. She would definitely beat the next boy who dared to attack her. Hopefully she would become a better fighter as time wore on, but somehow she thought she might not.

"I think I'm ready to go hunting," Malvora said as she got to her feet, wincing as she accidentally put all her weight down on a rock. She would probably have a slight limp as they walked along, but hopefully hunting would distract her body from the pain.
