[8th day of summer 513.a.v.]
[Lake Shore]
[Early morning - evening]
She woke up early in the morning, earlier than usual. When Amelia looked around, she saw a room that was not hers. It had a beautiful wallpaper design, that gradient from a dark, dark red to a pleasant, blood orange. The curtains where thin and colored in two, creating a game of light on her body. The bed was soft, yes, she was not home. She was in her father’s house. But she didn’t remember how she got up in this room, or how did she undress. ”dad…” he must have carried her up, that was so much like him.
Without much thinking, Amelia got dressed and left the room she was in. The opposite door was her father’s room, or the master bedroom. She just smiled, sure that her father was still asleep…or already left. He was rarely to be found indoors, so she didn’t bother knocking. Amelia walked down slowly, and rushed to the kitchen to grab herself a bite. Her father didn’t have anything fancy around, he preferred to eat out and so, most of the things that could be found were basic. Amelia didn’t mind.
The girl put a pot of water to boil and toke a medium sized cup out from the cupboard. She searched all over the place, and couldn’t manage to find even one bag of tea. She knew her father was not much of a tea drinker, but he had to have something? Right? Well, after some intense searching she found a paper bag that held the label “Wildflower tea” reading it was like a blessing. And she found it just in time as the pot began to boil. Quickly she dropped some of the tea in her cup and wrapping her hand in a kitchen glow she toke the pot from the fire and poured it in her cup.
So far, so good. She was no cook, making simple meals was the best she was good for, everything that needed the least bit of actual cooking. She limited herself to salad and mixing pre-cooked things, in other words…sandwiches and eating out was the way Amelia lived. So now, she just sliced some white bread, one tomato and some meat. Honestly, she couldn’t tell meet apart more than the clear fact that pig meat, was usually pinker than others…while steak was red at all times. Other meat, she would only see already cooked. Why would she need to learn cooking? She repeated it to her mother all the time, but…sometimes she regretted her decision.
Either way, she finished her cup of tea and the bead. And left, locking the door behind her with the spare key, she left it in her pouch. With a note to bring it back next time she is around. And with that thought, the girl left to her own home.
It toke her about a bell to get there, but once home she didn’t hesitate to properly comb her hair and remove her makeup. She didn’t want to put any on, as she was leaving to spend some time on the lakeshore. Spend some time with Fauna. The girl packed her backpack and changed in the clothing that were more common. She knew better than to wear good clothes there.
Half a bell more and she left the house. Taking a ravosal to the docks, she could briefly see the lines of her teachers, Clyde’s house as she got to the ferry. From this point on, it would be just a boring, eight, maybe even nine bell worth of travel. She seemed to be sure, and got comfortable in her seat. She began shuffling her cards, about to read her own fortune, until she heard. ”it’s you! You read a fortune to my sister!” instantly Amelia was awakened from her own daze as she turned around, and before she knew it, a young girl, no older than 15 was sitting in front of her. She had blond curls that gently fell down to her shoulders. Her dress was simple and floral, and she had a basket in her hands.
”er…hello?”’ she said, a bit confused as nobody had ever been so full of enthusiasm when meeting her. None the less, actually know her for being her, a fortune teller, not the ‘Cross girl’ as so many referred to her. ”as flattering it is, how exactly do you know me?””You read a fortune to my sister, she was no special and nobody liked her..well,not as a girl…but after you read her the fortune of getting married, boom! She had two boyfriends, and just recently, she was proposed to!” Amelia enjoyed to hear that her fortunes come true, as most of them were based on guesses rather than actual knowledge. But she assume this was just a little…coincidence.
”I see…and what exactly is your wish? aren't you a bit too young to be dreaming of men?” but the girl seemed to get angry at her comment ”I’m 15! Soon to turn 16! I’m not getting younger! I need to find myself a boyfriend, someone who would love me and has money!” the girl seemed to be amusing to Amelia, such wishes at such a young age. Were the woman of Ravok thought that? Amelia was nearly 21 and the least thing she wanted was to be bound to one man…”You do know I don’t do love spells, or anything of that sort, right? I just read fortunes…simple as that, If you are bound to marry at 30, I can’t read you anything else ” Amelia almost chuckled while shuffling her cards. ”nonsense! If my ugly sister with your help got a man, then I will for sure!” The girl seemed to be ignoring her explanation, but if she wanted a reading, she would give the girl a reading.
