Basic Information

Race: Kelvic
Birthday & Age : Season of Winter, Day 34, 508 AV (About 20 years in human years.)
Gender: Male

Physical Description
Arareis is unusual for a Kelvic, he doesn't much resemble his animal form of a black bear. His most noticeable resemble is his medium length jet black hair. His eyes are a silver color which is rare for his breed. You wouldn't know it from looking at him but his arms and legs are very powerful. In human form he stands only 6 foot even. He weighs around 175lbs almost all muscle, in human form. He has only about 3% body fat. He is usually found without a shirt on, he doesn't like to be clothed. He wears baggy pants so that he may quickly remove them when he needs to morph.

When he morphs into his animal form, he becomes a black bear. He stands 6 foot 6 on his hind legs, and weighs about 385lbs. He has solid black fur all over. His teeth are sharp enough to rip through a small tree. His claws are more rounded for climbing, but are lethal none the less.

Character Concept
His personality while in both human and beast form resembles the black bear. He is often found alone and is very adventurous. Unlike the black bear he often avoids fights, he is pretty calm, cool, and collected, but will not hesitate to join in if his buttons are pushed. He isn't very emotional when it comes to just about anything. As a bear he was taught to be strong and show no remorse, so he carries those traits with him into his human form. Although spending many years around humans, those traits have weakened. He has developed friends over the years and the few he becomes close to. He will not hesitate to protect that which he does care for.

He's never been one for rules and that has often landed him in some trouble. Although he does know that the rules are there for a reason. Some he chooses to follow, which others conflict with his own personal views. He is often looked down upon due to this fact, many believe he is always up to no good and never trust him.

He hates to be treated differently just because he is a Kelvic. He has always been treated like nothing more than a simple slave to most people. Very few have ever called him friend. For this past, he will never hesitate to stand up for a fellow Kelvic who is being put down or mistreated.

He doesn't have many ethics or morals. He lives for himself. He believes what he believes and not what anyone else tells him. His views of right and wrong may be wrong to some and right to some. To him it doesn't matter what others think. He has grown up an outcast and has developed his own views. Views which shouldn't be crossed in his mind.

Character History
Arareis grew up in the outskirts of Wind Reach along the mountains. He spent most of his time in animal form to stay alive as the wilderness was very unforgiving. The time he spent around humans and other races, he was often teased. He doesn't remember much of his childhood other than he did what he had to do to survive. He has constantly sought after a companion, someone more than friend. He made few friends with humans, most were killed for befriending him. His closest friends were other Kelvin and bears. He longed for the other races to understand him and his kind. He always wanted to break the chains of slavery for his people. This was his dream.

One day he broke his first rule while working in a field for a man. He just stopped working. He realized how easily the chains of slavery were broken. He knew then that this is how he would turn that dream to reality. The man came running to the then 8 year old boy, only knowing he was a Kelvic, but never know what animal he was. He began to beat the boy telling him to return to work. Arareis was soon angered and morphed for the first time not of his will, his clothes ripping off from his body. Standing against a 5' 7" black bear the man knew he would die. Arareis let out a loud growl and swiped the man once across the face, the man never got up. Arareis soon turned human again, this was his first kill, and his first time freeing a group of Kelvin from their chains.

By the time he was 10, word had spread far of the small uprising he had caused. Parties were called to hunt him down and kill him. He knew what he needed to do. He left home that day, knowing he would likely be hunted for years to come. His parents were murdered because they wouldn't tell where their son was. Arareis never learned of this till several years later. Now he is 20 years old, his dream as bright as the day it began, his motive continually renewed, he continues on.
