Xi sat at his desk the torch light in his room illuminating the blackness within. Hunched over his desk he didn't bother changing from how he was in the training room, no point, he had work to do and he had to figure out whether or not he'd made the right choice...He swiped it from his mind and let his arm lay on the table whilst one hand pulled and scratched in his book of notes with his quill, the drawing of a snake flowing into his mind and the simplistic morph he'd once done falling into his mind as well. He flexed his fingers before closing his eyes and focusing on the scaled pattern of a snake...The segmented patterns of armour like plating upon the back and sides of a snake the large inter moving fragments. Xi brought his djed from within him to the surface letting his mind force his djed to obey his will and shift his arm from it's normal human like skin to the pattern within his head. His flesh obeyed his mind and shifted slowly twisting growing enlarging, taking it's time with the slow morph. He was after all still a novice. After about three chimes the simple transformation he'd done once prior finished and completed. the back of his left fore arm had shifted from flesh into scales...Xi ran the tops of right hands finger tips over it. Feeling the smooth yet layered levels of scales. Xi brought his hand back over it and brought his mind back to his normal flesh his djed again being forced to obey his will. though he kept his hand near by and could almost feel the oddness of the change. The feeling of the scales shifting and turning back into smooth flexible flesh like a blank canvas. Xi then opened his eyes slowly to look back at the journal of a book in front of him his left and back to normal but he wrote above the top of the page: "To become everything you must be prepared to be nothing." It wasn't what his initiator told him...However it was his interpretation. How he felt about morphing...Flux was to him the art of knowing everything inside yourself...And morphing was the art of knowing nothing about yourself. Dis jointed and broken the pair of them however both focused upon the internal abilities one possessed. Xi began to jot down his thoughts in the journal in front of him, a slow creeping time passed and then Xi eventually heard a knock at his door..."It's open." The obvious person stepped in. Sayren. However it seemed she realized what had happened. and two things were off, the fact she was hiding her hands and the fact she was more or less dripping with perspiration. She wanted to say she was sorry? And she was ready to accept what ever he was going to do. Xi shook his head. "You continued to train even without my supervision. Good. However...You look like you've been through a lot of pain. Sit down at the desk-" Xi rose out of his seat and shifted his items to the side offering his seat to her for the moment. "-At the moment your hands need attention, sit down and don't argue this isn't a favour this is both an request for your own good." Xi stepped to the side allowing her room to sit, when she did he was going to take out a bit of cloth he had torn to shreds by past events and he tore it further turning the tattered fabric into bandages for her hands. He'd wrap them and laayer the fabric pulling tight enough to hold it in place. Right, next time put on bandages around your hands...It'll prevent you ripping your knuckles apart. Second...Go have a bath and get cleaned up. And i understand your frustration, just you have to accept that you wont get praise here, only critique. If I say nothing your doing it right, because that way you can vary it your self. And find out your own style. |
