It had been a long while since Nate had been to visit Snow-Stained Bows. The young half-Vantha used to be a frequent visitor of the store, always interested in the beautiful new bows the twins always made.

This visit was slightly different though. Of course, he had admired the latest additions to the stock, how could he not? The bows on sale were always wonderfully made, often with intricate decoration. However, gawking was not his reason for the visit, and he quickly forced himself away from the display of shortbows.

Instead, the young man wandered over to the collection of arrows on the opposite side of the store. He had always thought he should take up fletching; after all the bow and arrow was essential to his lifestyle. He selected a regular shortbow arrow and examined it closely. The shaft of the arrow was completely smooth without a single nick. He noted how the feathers had been cut in a certain way before being fixed to the shaft. The man sighed. It all looked extremely precise and difficult to get right. Perhaps his hunters hands weren't quite suited to the job.

He picked up a few more arrows and looked at them too. All were the same, carefully and expertly made. As he went to put them all back, the sound of the door made him look round. An eyebrow rose and a look of recognition flitted over his face. He knew this person from somewhere; Nate thought they had even spoken before. But he just couldn't place where.

[Snow-Stained Bows] A Familiar Face

Postby Enoleus Frostfawn on July 13th, 2013, 11:15 pm

22nd of Summer, 513 AV
As Enoleus pushed the door open, he smiled softly as his eyes were greeted by the familiar sight of the inside of the store. As a hunter, his stops here were frequent - or at least, more frequent than anywhere else, save perhaps The Red Diamond. The clean yet also musky scent of various treated woods wafted through the room, giving the air a heavy feel as he breathed it in - as if even after breathing it back out, it continued to sit in his lungs.

Pulling the door shut behind him, he began to absentmindedly wander, examining the wares. He felt that he should pick up fletching, if only so he could become more autonomous in extended trips into the wilderness. He stopped directly before a newly crafted longbow, his eyes lighting up visibly, his retinas shifting dark blue and indigo has he traced the curves of the bow. Now, he didn't really mind his shortbow that much, but what sat before him was a true weapon. Longer reach and a truer shot, it was the testament of a real hunter, or so Enoleus fancied it, that he would pick up and someday master such an elegant weapon. Although his chest grew heavy with longing, he forced himself away, all to aware of his current financial restrictions.

As he turned, he caught someones gaze, who seemed to be staring at him with a strange look. It was the look you would give a long lost relative, and it caused Enoleus to pause, his expression hardening. He didn't like it when anyone stared at him, but this man was a foreigner, and this incited his ire even further, his eyes beginning to shift into a bright orange. Yet, as he caught Nate's gaze, he didn't look away, and something about him seemed... Familiar to Enoleus. Enoleus was pretty good with faces, and while he certainly didn't know everyone in Frostfawn hold by name, in fact he barely knew anyone, he was damn near positive that this was a face he had seen before - if only in passing.

Taking an affirmative move, he stepped toward Nate, and, still presuming Nate to be a foreigner, he began to speak in his rough, unpracticed common. "Hello to you..." He paused a moment, his expression becoming softer and enigmatic as he continued. "Are we aware of each other?"
