VITH KAVERI

Image
Picture by my lovely and talented friend Linse

General:
Race: Charoda
Age: 25 born Early summer 485AV
Birthday:
Gender: Male

Character Concept:
My initial idea was simple, I wanted to make someone who was fanatically religious, like, really out there. My biggest problem was to figure out which god I wanted to be devoted to, which proved really hard with all the amazing gods that were about. Afterwards I figured that it might be easier to pick a race first and then take one of their deities and devote my PC to him/her, after all that would be the easiest way. I wanted one of the races I found interesting so it was either Pycon or Charoda, and seeing as there's absolutely no info on the god of alchemy I chose charoda.
After that I decided to give my Character, Vith, a goal, something he wanted to accomplish and of course a reason why, so I guess this is what I came up with.

Physical Description:
Vith is not the grandest of Charodae, in fact he's only 5'6 tall with a weight of 123lb. Obviously he is not chunky, but he can't be described as pleasantly slender either. Should one see him without clothing it would be obvious that he used to be very underweight and is still gaining weight.
Since underweight isn't too uncommon in these post Valterian days, it wouldn't reveal his past by itself, but Vith have other, rather revealing signs all over his body.
Vith's skin is a bluish shade of light grey, sort of like a dolphin, just a little blue-er. His skin is far from even and smooth though, since all across his body (the back and backside of his legs in particular) a horrid web of white scars span out, as a permanent proof of the misuse his body has suffered. These scars mostly stem from whips, though there are occasional burn scars here and there. The web of scars is mostly focussed around his back, legs and arms, but his torso has some as well. A particularly large scar span across his chest, collarbone and even a little up his neck. Aside from a minor scar just below his right ear, Vith's face is remarkably scar-free, possibly because it used to be his selling feature. As previously mentioned, Vith is somewhat short and one could say he even had a petite build, though it's more a result of lack of nourishment.
This is of course Vith when he is naked, which is pretty close to never. Since Vith spends the vast majority of his time on dry land, he has learned various techniques of surviving there without getting dehydrated. This includes wearing clothing at all time to cover for the sun's deadly rays. With is often seen wearing breeches, boots, shirt a cloak and a hood to keep his face in shade. He will often wear a robe instead of the more tight fitting clothes on a warm day, though he rarely ventures out when the sun is high. One thing one might notice is the fact that Vith's clothes will be drenched more often than not in order to keep them humid and once again keep him from drying out.
This of course means that Vith's face is the only part of his body that is actually seen, thus it needs a little elaboration.
Where his skin is a bluish pale grey, his eyes are a sort of whitish grey due to the translucent eyelids. Like any other Charodae he has long multi-pronged ears and a almost non-existent nose. His face still looks rather boy-ish, even for a streamlined Charodae, which might again be due to his past and lack of nutrients. As any Charodae he is completely hair-less and instead he has a few dorsal fins. One is central and stars slightly higher than the brow features of his skull, following the forehead and then becoming taller as it reaches the top of his head, extending almost the whole way back. Starting at his temples he has two smaller dorsal fins, easily hidden by the ears. These fins extend further back than the main fin, but aren't as pronounced or tall.

General Personality:
Surprisingly for his background, or perhaps because of it, Vith is a very patient person. He spends a lot of his time pondering, plotting, and when he finally takes action it is often thought through several times. He will usually not act on impulse or a random thought, instead he's like a silent predator, waiting for the prey to get closer so he can pounce it. This patience and thinking things through does not hinder him from taking action though. He is driven, with a clear cut goal, and he understands than in order to keep himself going he has to set short term goals for himself to accomplish.
Although he is often carefully planning his next move, he is not one to second guess himself. This is not so much because he has much confidence in himself, but rather because he has learned that second guessing yourself leads to nothing. Once an action is taken you cannot undo it, and thus there is no reason to ponder further upon it, that is his philosophy.
Vith is actually rather introverted. He dos not enjoy small talk and would rather spend his time alone. He talks very little but thinks a lot, however that does not mean he does not know how to socialize. He's a smooth talker should he chose to, and even though he prefers not to engage in conversation with others, he is quite capable of doing so, often coming of as rather charismatic. It should be noted however that his vocabulary is not the greatest, thus he tends to focus more on the way something is said (to others) than using long elaborate words, something which seems to work well with the common man. All in all he's an introverted person who certainly knows how to play the part of an extrovert.
The main reason why Vith would chose not to speak, or spend time with other people is that fact hat he detests all land bound races. To him they are all a bunch of smelly hairy apes, not good enough to live in this magnificent world and in his opinion they would be better of dead. This opinion of his is of course not something he says out loud as it would easily get him quite a lot of enemies, instead he resorts to thinking poorly about someone while keeping up a façade of smiles and politeness. This hate is one of the key fuels to his grand plan. At the moment Vith is travelling around mizahar in search for power (any kind of power will do). He realizes that right now he is but an ant in anthill, and in order for him to accomplish anything he needs power far greater than anyone. The second thing that fuels him is of course the thought of revenge. Vith seeks to avenge himself and punish those who have made him suffer so much in his past, and since he has experienced first hand the most efficient way of getting rid or land bounds, he has quite the simple plan.
Vith's plan, which he calls 'the will of the sea' is roughly him wanting to have the sea swallow all of Mizahar, a plan which seems very just to him. In order to do so he needs more than just the power of mortals, and Vith truly believes that he is doing the will of Laviku when he searches for power.
Strangely enough Vith have no idea what kind of power it is he wants, he has far too little knowledge as it is, to ever do something this cataclysmic, but he is driven none the less, driven like a madman towards a goal that is very much unobtainable.
Because of his past and the plans he has for the future, Vith is very much obsessed with his religion and belief in Laviku. He believes that the god is the only fair god, the one whose will he is doing, the one who will eventually order the sea to swallow the land, killing all the land bounds. This faith is as it is balancing on the edge to obsession, and it is one of the few points where Vith's true colours shine though.
Whereas he is normally trying to be calm and think things through, he will not hesitate to strike down those who belittle or insult his belief, and he is prone to rant quite a bit whenever the topic is focussed on religion.
Aside from his obsession, Vith is trying very hard to gain followers, he has even gone so far as to offer land bounds a place in this mission, mostly because he knows they will die anyway.
Vith is also claustrophobic, though he can manage as long as there is an exit somewhere, preferably close to him.

Ethics:
When it comes to ethnics, Vith have very little left of his original ideals. Though he does believe in a general sense of fairness, it has become twisted and instead he now believes in whatever he deems 'fair'. Seeing as he has little feelings towards the land bounds other than resent, he has no qualms using them for his own purposes, he would even kill one could he do so without the risk of being found out/get hurt. Vith believes that the end justifies the means, something that can be seen quite clearly in his quest for power, he just wants power, any kind of power will suffice, so long as it's usable. Vith does have some qualms left when it comes to his own people, he does care for them although he deems the vast majority of them utter useless. He thinks of the Charoda as a people who have lost themselves, which is why he feels even more compelled to save them (by ridding the world of land). Vith' ethnics come down to the very basic fact that he will pretty much do anything, as long as he can get away with it. IF it involves any major kind of risk, he is likely to just abide the law.

Likes:
Water, Laviku, Makutsi, fruit and berries, bread, completing a goal, setting new goals, bodies of fresh water, freedom, travelling and the thought of gaining power.

Dislikes:
All land bound races, especially the myrian. Weak and naïve people. Feeling helpless. Small, enclosed rooms. Meat. People not willing to share their power.

History:
Pre-Creation:

Vith's life began when he, along with a few of his siblings, nibbled his wait out of the pouch he had grown in as an egg. That moment was of course a moment of happiness for everyone, and Vith would soon be embraced by his kind, loving parents. Life under the sea was magnificent. Every day, everywhere there was something new and interesting to be discovered, something that could catch Vith's interest and hold him there for hours on end, examining whatever object he had found, and more often than not he would bring it with him home, to a steadily growing collection.
Vith began school around the same time as his siblings and while they were quick to make friends, Vith was somewhat more secluded, preferring to sit by himself dreaming of all the things he was yet to experience.
School itself was interesting enough, after all you learned new and exciting things every day, you even learned how to use your innate abilities with corals, but the social aspect still couldn't keep Vith's interest. He had a few friends, casual friends whom he hang out with, but mostly he kept to himself, kept quiet and observed the world around him. This behaviour was of course noted, but no one thought much of it, after all to each his own and Vith was probably just shy. One thing that did not falter however, was his increasing curiosity, a curiosity unmatched by any of the children who were being taught alongside him. Vith rarely spoke, but when he did his words would be well thought through, a trait the teachers seemed to like.
Vith's curiosity was a blessing, but also a curse, and soon, even school became just another well-known place, just another thing he was done examining, Vith wanted more.
OF course the Charodae had always been eager to let the young explore the sea, seeing as it was pretty safe compared to the rest of Mizahar, and Vith was eager to participate in scavenger hunts, exploration teams and games of hide and seek in unknown terrain.
The sea was grand, the sea was magnificent and there was always something new to be explored, something new brought along with the underwater currents, and often these things came from the dry land.
These alien things piqued Vith's interest, after all they were unlike anything he had ever seen. The boy eagerly begged his parents to take him to this foreign world, but of course he was way too young to go there.
Vith struck a deal with his parents after that. If he kept up his level in school, they would take him to this alien world by the time he was 12, along with his siblings, perhaps make it a sort of exciting picnic.
This goal had quite an effect on the boy. Having such a clear cut goal to follow, it was easy for him to up his game and become one of the more successful students in class, though the manipulation of corals eluded him. He easily became adjusted to speaking the harsh common language and learned basic maths, and before he knew it he had lived for 12 years, the time had come for the promised tour to the alien world.
Seeing as Vith had talked quite a lot about this trip, the school eventually decided that a trip to the dry world could prove both valuable and exciting to the young minds, and it might give them a view on how lucky they were to live in tranquillity. Before they could go however, the school saw to it that the pupils learned about the dangers of drying out, and how some of the races on dry land were not as peaceful as the pacifistic Charodae.
Then came they day of the trip and Vith was in seventh heaven. His curiosity, which had built up since he struck the deal with his parents, would finally be satisfied.
The trip to the dry land itself was slightly longer than what Vith would have liked, but the sea dragons did their best and he wasn't one to complain, after all his wish was coming through, he was going to see something completely different.
Before they emerged from the waters surface some of the teachers and parents who had volunteered to come along, went up and made sure it was safe, after all they weren't stupid.
Once the signal had been given the teachers reminded the youngsters that they'd have to use their lungs to breathe above water, and then they allowed them to emerge.
Although Vith had looked forward to this moment for a very very long time, it began on a rather sour note, he had no idea how to breathe above water, and when he figured it out it was a rather unpleasant feeling.
After the initial breathing problems had passed he was, however, more than excited to look around this new Alien world.
The way the waves caressed the beach, the wind, which felt like a sort of inconsistent current, the swaying of trees, the smells, everything was new, everything was exciting and he immediately got out of the water, and clumsily stumbled across the beach, into the less sandy part of actual land. His legs were of course not used to carrying his weight like this, but luckily the air was less resistant than water, and as such it compensated just a little bit.
Soon thereafter the beach was filled with Charodae of various ages, both the older teaches, and the younger children enjoyed this wondrous alien world, it seemed very much more interesting to them than the world they came from, after all they had already seen a great deal of charbosi.
Unfortunately for them, peace was less common above water, and suddenly, while a lot of the young ones were still getting used to their limbs, a flock of Zith attacked them.
The high pitched screams of Charodae filled the air, mixed with the joyous sounds of the Zith. The people of the sea stood no chance against the strong and deadly Zith, and while some managed to return to the sea's cool embrace, a lot of them were instead either killed or damaged by the winged monsters. Vith himself had been one of the Charodae furthest away from the water, and as such he stood no chance of returning to it as the situation was. He chose instead to flee into the woods, a plan that did not succeed. From above a horrid scream came, and as he looked up, a sharp claw cut through his skin, tearing up the upper part of his torso and his neck. The pain made him flinch, he fell to the ground in pain and curled up, holding his webbed hands against the wound as blood began flowing out. The wound was not terribly deep, but it was deep enough to be of significance, and Vith soon passed out from the unknown pain.

When he awoke, Vith found himself in a shallow puddle of sea water, in a cave that, judging by the sounds, was located near the ocean herself. With him was around a dosin of his kin, most of them older than himself. It took a few seconds before Vith understood the situation, but as he did, the blood froze in his veins. Around the puddle were several guards, several Zith who all looked eagerly at the Charodae. One of the older Charodae came to Vith and quickly informed him that they were now slaves of the Zith, and that a few of them had already been eaten.
Vith was scared, his whole body trembled and he didn't even pay attention to the wound on his chest. This fate was not fun, it was not the boisterous adventure he had dreamed about in the safe arms of the sea, it was not the fate he had imagined when he imagined the dry land, and he wanted it to end, he wanted it all to be a bad dream, a nightmare that he would soon wake from.
Vith did not wake up. It was no nightmare, and very soon he came to understand that no matter how hard he cried it would not end. Thus his eyes dried out and he sat quietly, thinking and observed as the Zith came around evening every day to pick out another Charoda whom they would then kill and eat. They were not slaves, they were to be eaten and Vith shivered as the thought struck him. The nights were cold and sleepless, and every now and then you could hear soft sobbing. Not even the adults could keep up a brave face in this horrid situation.
Vith missed his parents. He missed being at home, being with them and his siblings, he missed everything about Charbosi, and just thinking about him filled him with grief, after all, this trip to the alien world had been his idea all along.
The days quickly began to blur. How many days it had been could only be counted on how many Charodae was left, a continuously dwindling number, always associated with a fear of being next. A Pattern soon formed. The Zith seemed to pick the largest Charoda as the one who would be their meal, perhaps because they wanted as much meat as possible, and as such Vith quickly learned to appear small at all times, something easily done. As the remaining members of his kin decreased, so did the water in the puddle. The Charodae needed to stay hydrated, but the puddle weren't filled up again, thus there would be less and less water as time passed by. Finally there were only 3 Charoda left, three of a dosin fish people left and Vith knew he would soon be eaten. He didn't want to, he wanted to live, but deep down he knew that they wouldn't be saved.
Just as Vith had given up hope, it would appear that Lhex felt a need to humour himself. At the very least their fate was not what they had thought, and instead they were suddenly ordered to stand up and follow some very unkind Zith. They were lead out of the cave and into a sort of meadow where they were told to kneel. A large man, possibly a Drykas, towered above the children, grinning rather evilly at them. One of the girls began to cry as the man placed his hand under her chin and forced her to face him. His eyes were everywhere on her young body and he smiled approvingly before going to the next girl with the same judging look in his eyes. After the girl it was Vith's turn, and the man gave him the same judging look. Vith did not understand what was happening, and even though the man clearly spoke common, he was too distressed to make any of it, he was simply so tired, all he wanted was to lay down and sleep, never to wake up again. His wish was partially granted as something hard came down upon the back of his head and he passed out.
What happened next was blurred. Vith woke up several times during what felt like a bumpy ride in a wagon, but the strange motion and hard bumps against his head, paired with a sneaking dehydration made him easily lose focus and slip down into a state of nightmares.
When the ride was finally over, Vith was too dehydrated to notice, he could feel his skin shrivel up as it dried in the heat, his head was spinning and he was barely awake when strong arms tossed him into some body of water.

Time passed quickly with these new captors. Unlike the Zith who had just had the Charodae sit around and wait to be eaten, these men saw to it that their new slaves did their part of the work. Often the sea people would be forced to drag far too heavy loads along the road in blistering daylight as the men just watched and laughed. Even when the soothing moon took the place of the sun and the cooling night allowed their skin to rest a bit, there was no rest for the slaves. They were made to set up the camp, then they had to serve their masters in numerous ways (at these times Vith praised Lhex for letting him reincarnate in a male body) or serve as entertainment. Their masters would often resort to hitting them, sometimes for fun, sometimes to get a point across, and Vith quickly learned to make himself as invisible as possible in order to avoid such scenarios.
Along the way one of the girls died. Her body couldn't take the hard labour forced upon her, and while her once beautiful face twisted in agony she gave in to dehydration and died quicker than Vith would have thought possible.
After the episode the men were very careful to make sure their slaves bathed, they even made it a game to pretend to drown the Charodae in order for them to become hydrated. This new life did not suit Vith either, and he sometimes caught himself wondering what it would have been like if he had just been eaten. Sadly he soon forgot individual thought, he was simply too tired and scared to think and when he curled up next to the only remaining member of his kin at night, all he got was nightmares.
At the times where Vith was clear enough to think and listen, he had learned that these men were outcasts who made a living by trading slaves, and that they would probably trade him or the girl away if it weren't because they didn't have any other slaves to help them. Vith didn't quite care, he knew that any new master he might get could easily be ten times worse, or at least they were in his imagination.
Amazingly enough the two Charodae adapted to the harsh life they now led, and a little by little they learned how to manage the work, and block out all the unpleasant things.
It was rather lucky that they did adapt, because even though Vith didn't keep track of time at that point, he would later learn that he and the girl were slaves to these masters for roughly 3 years before another twist of fate send them other places.
The caravan had started out in Falyndar, but had soon thereafter moved into Kalea and stayed there for quite some time. Sadly for them there were others who were more successful at trading slaves than they were in Kalea, and they were soon forced to return to Falyndar in order to stay in business.
Falyndar is not known to be the safest of places, and this also counted for slave traders. One day when the traders were stationed near the bay in Falyndar, they were attacked by what seemed to be Zith halfbreeds (judging from their looks ans squeals and general wingless state) pirates. The savages quickly disposed of anyone who resisted them, and everyone else were put in shackles and stowed upon the ship. Half the slave traders were eaten rather quickly, but it seemed that although Charodae flesh was a delicious treat, these pirates had quite the tooth for money, and the fish people were rare enough to fetch a good price.
Conforming to this new style of living proved to be even harder on the two Charodae. Even though there was plenty of water for them to drench themselves in, just outside the ship, they were not allowed in, in case they escaped. Thus they had to resort to being 'bathed' which usually consisted in the Pirates roughly throwing water at them, often while hurting them for being a burden. The slaves were also made to row the impressive boat, and if they weren't fast enough the whip was always ready to strike their exposed bodies. The ship easily got far around, and even though there were some raids and battles from time to time, these pirates seemed to know their business, not once did they lose a battle, and not once were there any chance for the two Charodae to escape. This bothered Vith quite a bit seeing as he soon realized that he could force his hands through the shackles, due to his flexible bones. Even though he had learned this, there was no escape as the slaves were always watched, often whipped, and even in battle the piratess had amazing coordination, everything was seen to. At some point Vith told the other Charodae girl, Shuna, about the fact that they could escape from the shackles, something he would soon come to regret. Later the same night, when the slaves were stowed into miniature rooms for sleep, Shuna escaped her shackles and attempted to sneak away. Sadly for her the piratess were ever awake, there was always someone making sure no one escaped, and the second Shuna attempted this, she became fair game for the guards.
Whether she made it to the deck or not Vith didn't know, but he heard her screams as the powerful half-breeds ripped her apart and ate her, even before she was truly dead.
Having lost one of their priced slaves (but having gained a delicious meal), the Pirates were now even more aware of Vith, and the shackles he had been able to escape from were replaced with shackles so small they gnawed at his wrists with every motion, eating away at his skin, causing him a great deal of pain. The greedy pirates had lost one of the slaves they planned to sell for a great amount of money when they found the right buyer, and since there would be only half the pay now, they were furious. Along the way, one of them came up with the idea that perhaps they could make more slaves/meals, Vith was old enough to reproduce after all. Thus they forced him into attempting to impregnate the other slaves. This was the first time Vith was forced to do something so horrible as being forced to have sex, and he really was forced. A pirate would always be in the room, ready to whip any of the participants did they not perform adequately. A failure to reproduce was at first blamed on the female slaves and more often than not they would be killed and offered to the sea or eaten, but as time progressed blame was put on Vith, and he was beaten more often than ever, and sometimes he would even be put in a crate to suffer.

The ship docked regularly, and of course it experienced bad weather every now and then. Every time a storm approached the ship would seek shelter, but one day a storm came suddenly and unexpected, and it caught the ship out at sea. Vith had been confined in the crate when the storm hit, more vicious than any storm so far, and Vith prayed. He prayed of all his heart and soul that Laviku would have the sea devour the ship. He prayed that this would be the end of his life as a slave and he prayed that it would be swift.
It wasn't swift, but the sea seemed to answer his Prayer, and the ship was eventually hit by a wave large enough to tilt it over. Water poured in everywhere and in a matter of minutes the slaves had drowned. The pirates had trouble as well, for even though they sailed the sea, quite few of them knew how to actually swim and as such they went down with the ship.
Vith's crate had been slowly filled with water, and he had panicked quite a bit before he remembered he was born to breathe underwater. It seemed to him that he had always lived above water, always been on land, but the moment the sea devoured him, all of the memories associated with it came back. His kin, his home, his family, all the people who had died, all because he had wanted to see this horrible and twisted world. The more water came in, the less noise was there, and in the end everything went silent. Vith had opened his eyes for a while, but the crate was black as ever. Then he figured that he might as well get some sleep and so he did, he slept peacefully for once since he had been captured so very long ago. In the arms of the sea he felt safe, at least as long as he slept.
When he woke up again Vith quickly broke free of the crate. Whatever had been used to hold down the lid had been washed away with the flooding, and now Vith was free, free to explore the ship that had been his prison for so long.
Everything was weird, weird and for some reason peaceful. Dead bodies floated everywhere, both slaves and pirates, as equals the sea had killed them and embraced their bodies, ready to have them feed the many creatures that lived in here.
Although the mere sight of the ship send shivers down his spine, Vith managed to make a small scavenger hunt around the ship. He found food that was not yet corrupted, he found clothes and he found Mizas, quite a lot of them. Having been taught maths so very long ago, Vith knew the value of Mizas, and therefore he made sure to take with him as many as he could carry. On the way out he took with him a rather plain Rapier - it looked like it could stab quite efficiently - before he folded everything in a bundle and made for the upper world once again.
[…]
Life in the upper world proved quite hard, but no where near as hard as life as a slave. Vith quickly learned how to survive in a world where even the sun is out to get you. He learned to never travel while the sun was at it's highest, he learned to cover his body to preserve water, and he learned to travel near the ocean or similar bodies of water at all costs. He had emerged in Sylira, a place where he managed to get accustomed to a life as a free person, although Vith didn't feel free. To Vith, Laviku had saved him, the God of the sea had sunk the ship that was his prison and ended the living nightmare, and as such he would be forever grateful. He felt as if the god had a bigger purpose for his life, and he felt, that if Laviku could grant such a beautiful death to even the savage pirates, then surely that had to be his plan. Vith knew in his heart that the sea was meant to cover all of Mizahar, the sea would grant all of the land dwellers a swift and kind death, a death that would free Vith of his past and allow him to live freely.
The harsh life as a slave had surely twisted the mind of the once peaceful Charoda, and now all he wanted was justice, he wanted the sea to devour the lands so that he could finally get his revenge against those who had made him suffer, the land dwellers.
Vith had learned to be patient however, and he knew that he could not lead an open campaign against the land dwellers, therefore he used the following two years to strengthen himself, learned how to use the weapon he had taken, learned how to survive oou of the seas, and most importantly, he learned how to fool the land-dwellers into trusting him so that they would share their secrets with him. After all, he needed some sort of power if he was ever to rid the world of these cursed beings.

Religion:
Vith is obsessively devoted to Laviku and his daughter Makutsi. His initial devotion came from the fact that he is quite dependant on water, making those two gods fine candidates. Next up is his past of course and the fact that he believes Laviku to have saved him from the hairy apes that held him captive. His religion has since developed quite drastically into a sort of obsession where he believes he has to do the will of Laviku, the will of the sea. Of course this will is practically the same as his own, so maybe he's a teeny bit misguided.
He's mostly devoted to Makutsi because she is the kin of Laviku, but he also believes that she is an important aspect in his plans of having the sea devour the lands, seeing as she can easily flood large portions of it.

Vith Kaveri

Postby Vith on July 12th, 2010, 4:47 pm

I figured i'd make a list of which races were hated by Vith and why :P

The order will be most hated first.

1. - The Zith

All in all the Zith has pretty much ruined Vith's life in alot of different ways and they're the ones he hates the most. These winged beast ought to fall into the ocean and drown.

2. - The Drykas

The only other type of people to hold Vith as a slave were Drykas, thus they're one of the most hated Races. Along wth the humans they should perish forever.

3. - The Myrians

It is a well know fact that Myrians like Charodae flesh, and therefore Vith hates them. These Savages ought to be flushed out of their jungles.

4. - The humans, the Inarta, the Benshira and the Vantha

These are all the same as the Drykas and should be eliminated.

5. - The Nuit

This very race should have died a long time ago. Also they would probably survive the Will of the sea and thusly pose a threat to the other survivors.

6. - The Dhani, The Kelvics and the Symenestra

These are almost as savage as the Zith and although Vith has no experience with them himself, he knows they're all out to get him, to sink their teeth into his delicious flesh. He hopes they die with the will of the sea.

7. - The Isur

Though they're skilled without doubt, these beings favour the mountains and thus they're natural enemies of the ocean, after all the mountains are the last to be devoured by it.

8. The Akalak and the Eypahrian

These races might not be as savage as the Dhani or Zith, but Vith knows that they lust for war, and will be fierce in opposing him, were they to know about the will of the sea, and his part in it.

9. - The Pycon

These are not really worth noting as Vith don't think they can do anything in particular. Never the less they are made by man and thus they're abominations.

10. - The Chaktawe

Vith is not quite sure about these ones. They Claim to be Children of Makutsi and certainly have skills with finding water, yet they're a land dwelling people who worship birds.

Races Vith don't quite hate:
These races are listed with the ones he hates the least at the bottom.

11. - The Jamoura and the Ethaefal

The Jamoura could be accepted had it not been for the occational savages amoung them.
Vith can't quite get himself to hate the Ethaefal, since they're not land-dwellers by choice, instead he wishes to bring upon them the will of the sea so that their suffering can end.

12. - The Akvatari
Vith has a rather neutral relationship to the Akvatari. They seem to be the children of the sea as well as the sky, so there's not really any land-dweller in them, yet it would have been better if they belonged only to the sea.

13. - The Konti

These are the children of Laviku, and thus Vith would never dare to harm one of them. To him they're as sacret as Makutsi herself.

14. - Tha Charodae

These are Vith's own people, a people he believes to be horribly naïve and innocent. He wishes to bring the will of the sea upon the world so that the Charodae can live in peace, without having to fear the other babaric races.
