Many of the Inarta in the library portion of the Enclave were upset. Truth be told, Kitchi and Kane were causing a bit of a ruckus and an older Avora woman who had been searching desperately for an important book had taken notice. Dressed in light clothing, the woman approached them quickly. She slammed her fist down on the table in front of them and shot them both a glare. "Shut up!" She spoke in Nari, the distaste obvious in her voice. The woman turned directly to Kane, the human and nearly snarled. "This is a place of learning, not some foreigner's place to socialize."

Then she turned Kitchi, the Inarta girl. "Get you and your Clipped out of place boyfriend out of this place now." Behind her, a few of the younger Inarta chuckled, obviously enjoying the theatrical stance the woman was taking.

She took a step back and folded her arms in front of her chest. "Have you not noticed that people are trying to study here?" Several of the Inarta who were in the Enclave, looked away from the scene, acting as if they weren't paying any attention to what was happening, but it was obvious by their postures that they had been doing the exact opposite. There a few whispers in the immediate area, as well as a bit of quieted laughter.

What would the two do?

Having almost forgotten about where they were Kitchi glanced down at the still open book, surprised had slipped into her blue eyes. She began to read once more but was distracted by the footsteps of another approaching. The women looked stern and annoyed and Kitchi gulped with realisation.
Kitchi remained silent as the woman berated the pair of them for the noise an disruption and Kitchi cursed herself internally for forgetting their location. Once the woman had stopped talking she folded her arms in front of her body and glared down at the pair still glued to the table.
'Right.....yes.... Kane we should leave' She muttered, almost inaudibly as she stood up. Her brain had failed to find anything witty to respond out of sheer embarrassment and she darted towards the door at a fast walk, forgetting the book that lay open on the table to Kane's control.

Baiting a buddy[Kane]

Kitchi hadn’t the chance to respond to his question; a woman approached them, steps loud from the angry stomping of her feet. She was impossible to ignore, even before she slammed a fist on their table.

Kane listened as she spoke, eyes becoming colder as her tirade went on. How dare she. Harsh reprimands had never been something that he’d responded well to. Steeling himself and squaring his shoulders, he psyched himself up for what was sure to become an argument. “You-” Any rebuttal from him was cut off by Kitchi’s response to the woman. She quickly stood and left the Enclave.

He was a bit disheartened to see his research partner rush out the door. She hadn’t seemed like a bad person and he’d honestly enjoyed talking to her. Which was somewhat rare for him in this city. Kane huffed quietly to himself before turning to the woman.

“You’re the rudest petch-hole I’ve ever met. And I’ve met some pretty horrible people. It’s no wonder no one comes to this city if that’s how you treat your visitors.” He stood and crossed his arms. “I’ll leave. But only because I don’t want to even be in the same building as someone like you.” He looked her up and down. “You sure you’re a woman? Whatever.” He turned and made his way towards the exit. As he walked, he could hear his father’s voice in the back of his mind saying, Kane, always be respectful towards a woman. He snorted as he reached the exit, and was sure to shoot her a rude gesture on his way out.

A cool breeze greeted him as he stepped out of the Enclave, doing well to quell some of his anger. Kane glanced around the area, hoping that Kitchi was still around. He was hoping to make a friend.
