Yngvie Basic Information Race: Vantha Birthday & Age : 484, Summer (26 years old) Gender: Male Physical Description Yngvie is a very shadowy figure. He stands at about 5'9 and weighs only 114 pounds. He usually wears dark robes with gold runes written on it, that hide most of his body, save for his face and hands. His skin is unusually pale for a Vantha, simply because his body is covered up by his robe. His eyes are usually deep blue, but because of his being a Vantha, they change color with his mood. His hair is straight and midnight black with blue highlights. Character Concept Personality He has a very volatile personality. Some people would call him insane because of his maniacal laughter and habits of talking to himself. He is almost always in a good mood and even when he is fighting he does it with a smile. His ethics are influenced by the god he serves. He believes that the weak should be destroyed so that only the worthy remain. He is never reluctant to hurt anyone considering nobody is really close to him. He is also a sadist. His speaking is fairly and actions are fairly dramatic and theatrical. Likes Yngvie enjoys to see others in pain and solitude. He also enjoys bewildering and confusing the weak minded. Dislikes Yngvie hates the idea of redemption, the state of the world (as compassion and empathy being considered the norm), and the corrupt leaders of the world. He is also not too fond of the wilderness. Character History Born in the beautiful city of Avanthal, Yngvie had a fairly normal childhood for a Vantha. His father was one of the legendary crafters of the race while his mother was one of the devout zealots of the ice goddess. By the time he was 15, Yngvie was unsatisfied with the peaceful life that his parents insisted upon, and set out into the frozen wastelands of Taldara. For a time, he wandered without problem, hunting the scarce game of the tundra for food and drinking melted ice. Soon game became scarce and he began to get frostbite. Eventually, when he thought that his luck ran out and that he would die, he found a shrine, inside of which a lone man stood in front of a small fire. When the man stood up, Yngvie realized that he was rotted to the point where he was little more than a skeleton. He revealed himself to be a priest of the god Vyat. He said that he had been expecting him, and that he would teach him in the ways of his god so that one day he may become a great champion of his god. He taught him of his god, and how Vyat brought justice to the weaklings whom he inflicts his illnesses on. He also taught him of how to to harness the powers of disease, and how to use the magic of Summoning, teaching him how to use circles that he can draw to summon creatures from other realms. After the preist taught him of the art of summoning, the priest told Yngvie to venture out into the tundra and stay out until he received a vision from his god. Yngvie left the cave and began to wander in the tundra again. He wandered for days without eating or drinking anything, and eventually he simply lost consciousness. While he was out, he had a vision of the city he was born in burning, of the people who where truly worthy walking out in a blazing glory. He also saw a vision of a lone corpse in a cave, and another figure on a journey to the unknown. He then stumbled back to the cave with the priest in it. The priest said that it was a blessing of Vayt, that he was destined to bring the weak to their knees. Yngvie simply pulled out his spear and stabbed the priest through the heart before taking his longsword and starting his journey...
