Ranie Basic Information Race: Kelvic Birthday & Age : Spring 507 - Appears to be in her early 20's Gender: Female Physical Description In her animal form, Ranie resembles a common house cat with round crystal blue eyes. Slenderly built, she has sleek, medium-length grey fur- lighter and darker stripes throughout, her forehead distinctively marked with a "M". Long white whiskers frame her slate colored nose and needle-sharp pearly teeth. In the guise of a Human, Ranie stands just over 5 feet and weighs in at 110 pounds. The steely hue of her fur transforms with her to create wispy, above-the-shoulder-length hair. Her skin is soft and pale, the fine hair the covers her body giving her a slight tone. She prefers to wear simple, loose fitting dresses or tunics, and adorns her outfit with discarded and dropped objects that she finds on her walks- such as strings and ribbons, bells, or any other shiny object that catches her sharp eyes. In a show of pride, Ranie often uses mud, or paints on a special occasion, to trace on her face where her markings should be. No matter what form she may be in her eyes are always wide taking in the world around her, full of curiosity. Character Concept Ranie is a sweetheart with an impish side. One moment she could be purring in utter happiness, the next hissing up a storm because someone smells funny to her. Her personality of the day varies depending on her surrounding. She will put on a false front when she's around unfamiliar people and places, but her true self shines through once she is comfortable. The most remarkable thing about her, though, is her candidness. Ranie will tell how she see's the world and how she see's those around her. Character History As a young kitten, she was purchased from a merchant to be a companion pet for an elderly Vanthian man living in Sylira. She remained with her master up until his death two and a half years later. While under her master's care, Ranie received nothing but the best and finest. Being so far from his native home and family, her master treated Ranie as if she were his own child. In return, Ranie was with the old man day-in and day-out, providing entertainment by chasing after strings and stalking invisible adversaries, and by accompanying him to places such as the market. Upon her master's death, Ranie was left with little, her master's belongings and possessions sold to repay debts. Her master's dying wish was that she would be free to roam about the world as she pleased, never to be 'owned' again.
