NaNoWriMo challenge!

Hi, guys. I'm afraid I'll be sitting on the sidelines as far as NaNoWriMo is concerned--I've currently got quite a bit on my plate of activities, so I've got to prioritize. ^^; I'll be happy to cheer you all on, however.

I have just finished signing up. This will literally be the first thing of substance I have ever written. I can't say that I am much of a writer, but the challenge I feel will put me on the correct path. 30 days of writing, cursing, laughing, and quitting.

I can't wait.

Now if I could just post on this site and advance my own character plot.

I think one of the best parts of this contest is the freedom. You don't have to go through the long editing process and the back-and-forth of the whole publishing process. You are writing for yourself and in the end you get a chance to see your work as it would look in novel form.

I won't be taking part this year unless I find a stable job before this thing starts. I've wanted to take part for a while but just been too busy with school. Next year, I hopefully will be able to.

I do have one question those, for those of us writing for a PC. Skill progression. Voco will probably learn Auristics, and maybe even some Reinmancy of his own during this. But, I'll need to know what would be the acceptable amounts of XPs he might be able to learn during the whole thing, so I can judge his skill level. I'm not saying like 50 points or anything, but 10? 15? 25? I'm not really sure what is reasonable, so I leave that up to other people.

I'm also wondering the same.
