Irist grunted and raised an eyebrow, "Careful what say, or Irist have to try to prove woman wrong." There was the smallest hint of a smile on his lips before he quickly looked away again. With a shrug he continued, "Well if you no need help then we--" Irist paused, tilting his head as if listening to someone speak before looking back at Delani, "Brother is wishing to speak with you."

The change happened in an instant. The hard lines of the Akontak's face softened, eyes became kinder and the stern lines around his mouth lit into a quick smile as Abase bowed slightly to Delani, "Is good to see you again. Pleasure is always mine." He straightened, expression becoming slightly awkward as he rubbed the back of his neck, "And I thank for words to brother. He no have many to listen to words... Is good you listen. He happy."

Clearing his throat Abase rested his hands on his hips, smiling once more, "You say you get dogs and animals from woman, Kavala. Where is place you go?" he sounded very curious. Abase had not actually been to the Sanctuary, not even once despite living in Riverfall for some time. He was very interested to hear of this place that housed a number of different kinds of animals.

OOCSorry this post is kinda Blah. Im running on very little energy but I wanted to get a reply out XD

When Abase stepped forward in his brothers place, the woman maintained her neutral demeanor, smiling reassuringly to the man even as he acted in apology. "I wouldn't fret much on it, Abase, other than to suggest you do give your brother a listen. You exist together, would it not be better for the one who exists with him to listen most? I am certain he would appreciate it, if nothing more. And give him some time here before tomorrow comes. Let him say his goodbyes, should he have any. Parting words should never be forsaken."

Delani deviated when he mentioned her cousin and the dogs she'd acquired's location. "It is just outside the city. Mm, half a bell I'd say? By horse, that is. It is called Sanctuary; my family runs it." She explained, something Dela herself had only recently learned of.

OOCUgh, my brain totally went phbt there...I think the thread is starting to lose steam

"You speak words that no should be said to me. Is humbled to see error... Much still to learn in balance of souls, but brother is dear to me. We will find balance one day. Soon I hope." He smiled, almost sadly, but he continued, "I never been to Sanctuary before, but heard much stories of good stock from place. Would be honor to visit soon. You say family run? You work there as well?"

Abase could feel the thread of their conversation was beginning to shorten, and rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly he laughed, "Apology. No mean to take more time than need. You need go now and prepare supplies?"

Do not forget brother, we must prepare ourselves. Let this woman go on her way before you ruin what little chance you have at romancing her in the future.

Abase's blush was a subtle thing, and he quietly cursed his brother for his words which made him feel all the more awkward.

"Work there? Goodness no; I have only recently reunited with them. We were separated like many of the Sea were when the storm crossed over us last year. But before that, I remained with our families Pavilion. Uncle was still certain he could find someone to marry me off to, heh. Had he, though, I never would have experienced the things I have. Little blessings in disguise."

Delani stopped in their walk, bowing her head as their conversation waned to a close. "No trouble caused for learning more about one of the fellow adventurers. I have appreciated the break from running about today. But yes, I should return; there are still a few things I need to see closed before I retired for the day to rest for tomorrow. It is sure to be a busy time, indeed. I look forward to seeing you in the morning, Abase. Just remember, listen to Irist. That's all he wants." And then, the woman moved on, heading back up past the docks and into Riverfall proper once again.
