The Labyrinth Near the entrance to the Road is a sacred labyrinth build with huge slabs of rock maneuvered out of the painstakingly cut Road. A chaplain of Aquiras commissioned it after the Denvali discovered that one of their patron deities was laid low by the chicanery of Sagallius. Though all are welcome to walk its path and use it as a focus for meditation and prayer, a chaplain walks it daily, meditating upon the dismemberment of Aquiras and their hope -- blessed by Priskil -- of his eventual wholeness. Mages and clerics frequent the labyrinth, though Denvali of all walks of life make it a part of theirs as well. Engaged and pregnant women often take ritual walks through the labyrinth, or children before they are acknowledged adults, even an average laborer or shopkeeper before making an important decision. At the center lies a small meditation garden with a bench, a few trees, and sweet-smelling herbs and flowers. An unspoken vow of silence is usually observed at that center, called the Navel of the World, though some people meet there to speak of secret matters.
